Valpo 10yr Homecoming Reunion

Group of 10 of us stayed overnight for our 10 year homecoming reunion. Great location and very clean place. Host was over the top regarding accommodating our group and making this a very enjoyable stay.

Sporting event

We stayed just one night. Came into town for a sporting event. The house was perfect for our group. Had everything we needed. We definitely stay again if in the area.

Wedding stay

We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of open space for the kids to play, inside. Definitely a plus. Could have used a few more towels, but if it was that big of a deal, we could have done laundry. Location was perfect. Fenced yard for little dog was perfect

Very Convenient / Dog Friendly

Great property for larger families traveling with dogs. We really appreciated the fenced in back yard for the dogs after a long day of driving. We only stayed one night but enjoyed the fire pit and backyard too. Very convenient drive to explore the Dunes. Lots of small little touches to make your stay enjoyable. Thank you!

Great Family Friendly Place

Great stay. My family stayed here for a beach vacation long weekend. Everyone was able to be comfortable in their own room with plenty of space in the dining area and living room for us all to hang out. I would stay again. The access code was a little tricky for us at first but then after we got the hang of it - there was no issues.

Family vacation

The property was perfect size for our family. They had items for the baby so we didn’t have to bring everything. Location & neighborhood was great. Close to beaches. Nice bike/ trail right around the corner.

Pet Friendly - simple and clean

The fenced in back yard was ideal for traveling with a dog. Lots of space and a reasonably well equipped kitchen for a rental. Drive in is a bit concerning due to the climate in Gary, but once in Chesterton - this location was very nice and felt safe.

Chesterton Stay

Charming and comfortable home with plenty of room with room to spare for our group of 10. Huge living room and a nice outdoor area. Everything that we needed was there for us. Owner replied quickly when I had questions before our stay.

Family Christmas in February

We celebrated our family Christmas here! The house had more than enough space for all 8 of us plus dogs! We enjoyed spending time in the large living room and playing games on the huge dining room table. Great location too! The dunes aren't far from the house, so we took advantage of that. Really beautiful in the winter! Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place to spend the 4th!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! Joe was so helpful with all of our questions. The house had everything we could have needed (including toys for the kid!) and then some. We definitely will be booking again in the future to visit the dunes because it’s so close. Would recommend to literally anyone and everyone! 100/10

Great time

We had a great time. House could use some touch-ups / updates, but it was in a safe neighborhood with a lovely walking and bike trail around the corner. The town was charming and very close to beaches and other fun things to do. The host was incredibly responsive and got back to us right away about a few issues that came up with the front door lock and AC.

Girls Weekend

It was a girls weekend getaway! We were close to downtown Chesterton and the water. The property owner was very easy to talk to. The home was exactly what we expected. Comfortable seating, several hangout ereas in the house, and instructions easy to follow. Highly recommend this place and would stay again.

Great for a big group

Great house for a big group of all ages. We had a quick stay, the drive to beach was good. Clean towels were found in the dryer and we were unsure if towels hanging in the bathroom were clean or not. Considering we paid a cleaning fee for our one night stay, I felt the to-do list of things we were supposed to complete upon check out was long (towels, strip beds, dishes, trash etc). We enjoyed the firepit in the backyard and the kitchen was great for cooking a big dinner. Thank you!

Swim Meet

We traveled for a long weekend to attend our son’s state swim meet. It was 20 minutes from this house, but well worth the drive for our family. Nothing fancy, but we slept 8 people (4 adults, and 4 kids ages 6-), and we were able to bring our dogs, as well. It was great to have the safe fenced in backyard for the dogs and a pet friendly property. Joe was a very accommodating host, and was always available if we had a question (the WiFi had to be reset a few times). We would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Cute and Cozy

This was a nice place to stay. My dog loved the fenced in back yard! The owner/property manager were responsive to my needs or concerns as they arose. If you're particular about your pillow, bring your own. I found the bed pillows to be not as comfortable to sleep on. If you plan to cook while you are there, you will need to bring items to tend to left overs (bags, saran wrap, aluminum foil, etc.). Aside of that, I found the location near the bike trail to be a fabulous perk! I loved walking my dog there every day.
