Do not stay here-Unresponsive owner & safety concerns

Major issues: 1- The owner did not provide an access code until hours after check in. And then it was after 4 attempts to reach the property owner. The owner was unavailable by phone, text, email, and VRBO messages. Very unresponsive. 2- In my opinion the property is not safe. After a delayed receipt of the code, we went to the property but chose not to stay. The neighborhood was run down, there was not secure parking (on a busy street only, and no other cars out there); there were a number of people walking around looking at us and we honestly did not feel at all safe. (2 women alone). We chose to immediately leave & did not stay. 3. after the delayed check in & safety concerns, we attempted to contact the owner & again, no response at all. Even days later now, no response. 4. We requested but did not receive a refund, at minimum there should be no cleaning fee since we did not stay at the property. We were out all the costs and then had to book a hotel at added cost. I've never had a bad experience before with VRBO property... but this was truly one, and should be removed from the program.

Excellent property in a great location

Very comfortable and modern home with easy access to everything to do in Macon. My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our host was exceptionally helpful and communicative.

Stayed 2 nights in Feb 2024
