Alyeska only half a mile away for skiing and snowboarding in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. Or, if you prefer a ride, the shuttle service to Alyeska is just steps from your front door.

After a day of hitting the slopes or hiking and exploring, take advantage of the shared large backyard. Nights can come to a close while streaming your favorite movie or shows on the smart TV. The kitchenette, featuring a microwave, coffeemaker, mini-fridge, and sink, is ideal for quick meal preparation, or walk to the numerous nearby eateries and the Girdwood Brewing Company and let someone else do the cooking.

Great location!

Quiet, quaint studio in a great location. We enjoyed the Girdwood Brewery nearby! Tip: bring your own coffee grounds, only a coffee maker and filters are provided.

Mommy Daughter trip

I spent the week with my adult daughter exploring anchorage/portage/Whittier before she heads back to the village to teach another school year. It was a very long travel to get there, so I was zonked. Luckily your futon bed is very comfortable for a futon. Very good quality. My daughter was quite comfy in the loft. Thank you for having a clean organized space for us to set up our base camp. It was a little small for two adults if you aren’t very close. I might suggest providing a broom and dustpan or vacuum. We tracked in a lot on our gear. Thank you.

The property was listed as a 1 bdrm with a pullout couch. It was a smalllllllll studio with a bunk bed. Clean though.

Anniversary Getaway

As soon as we arrived, we noticed the bedframe was cracked where the screws had been drilled into place. For two adults, this was incredibly unsafe and not structurally sound. We reached out to customer service to let them know —they told us they reported it to the local management as we did not want to incurr fees for damage. We declined having a maintenance team come out because it was not a quick fix and it was our anniversary trip. We were told we would hear back from someone local but never heard anything. We slept on the futon. I would not suggest renting this studio unless you are also renting the home above. We had children running and yelling above us from 7 PM to after 10 PM. There are no hooks anywhere for snowy jackets or leashes, which is a must for a vacation rental boasting it's closeness to Alyeska and being pet friendly. I appreciated having Clorox wipes under the sink because there was dried yellow liquid in the bottom of the fridge and onion bits from previous occupants. We used the fridge sparingly. The shoe rack was on the porch near the rail and had been snowed on, so we couldn't set our shoes on it. We ended up using collapsed cardboard boxes as we do not like wearikg shoes in the house or tracking in snow (much like the property owners.) *Also small mention: the growler listed in the welcome binder was not in the studio. The video streaming services were a plus and we definitely appreciated the blankets. Once you move all of the pillows and blankets off the bed shelves there is a decent amount of space to set belongings. We appreciated the TV trays in such a quaint space. All-in-all, not the ideal anniversary trip we were hoping for to Alyeska, but we made it work.

Perfect for a ski getaway

This place is very very small but was perfect for the price for 2 people. Very convenient for skiing at Alyeska and walking 2 blocks to the brewery. Would definitely stay here again for the price and convenience.

Quaint cottage room

Good for the price... centrally located in Girdwood, close walk to local brewery... can call shuttle and they will pick you up .. very small though but overall good times... will be nice if electric burner will be in the kitchen and mirror in the bathroom... thank you
