If you’ve been looking for the perfect Western North Carolina log home for your next getaway, you’ve found with this charming two-bedroom cabin tucked into the trees on almost two secluded acres. Expect all of the quintessential cabin details - knotty-pine paneling, soaring ceilings, hardwood floors, natural-wood and native-rock accents, and a gas fireplace. Outside, you’ll love spending time on the huge, covered deck with beautiful mountain views.

Inside, the well-equipped kitchen features a full suite of stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space. Grab a bite together at the dining table for six, and then head out to explore. You’ve got easy access to hiking, mountain biking, skiing, rafting, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and shopping and restaurants in Waynesville, Cherokee, and Bryson City. When you return, get the gas fireplace going to keep it cozy, or turn on the central AC to cool down. Entertainment options include free WiFi, cable, and board games, but the best entertainment of all is heading back outside to the deck to relax in the quiet night air.

The absolute perfect cabin for vacation! Very clean, beautiful views and had everything you need! This was our first time using Vacasa & was very pleased with the whole process! Nothing negative to say about this home! Also, it is in the description about the steep driveways so take heed to that, will definitely need the 4WD to comfortably get up the drive ways.

Beautiful well kept home

Our property was fantastic. It was clean and well furnished. Located on a beautiful mountainside and very close to the amenities of Maggie Valley and Waynesville.

Langzplace Review

Nice Place! Well Overall the accommodations were good. There are some issues that should be addressed. No fire extinguishers, Drive needs to be washed, Dishwasher needs to be leveled and anchored to the counter, tips when open, Disco lighting on the deck, Found No way to shut off the lights, Fireplace no go, Think the battery's are dead in the control box. Only one small trash bag, No sheets for the flip out bed, should just have them clean and folded inside the mattress as someone else mentioned would be helpful. If you have a 4X4 vehicle with no trailer yeah, I would stay again for sure. Got to backup into the drive, armatures need not apply.

Nice place! Bikers beware of access.

Beautiful location. Clean, serene, quiet getaway with plenty of space. Up to date and very comfortable. The road leading to the property is very steep with winding blind curves. The driveways are barely usable, extremely steep with no flat areas to park a vehicle with confidence without chocking the wheels. We were on motorcycles which simply couldn’t use the driveways at all. We parked at the bottom and hiked up the driveways, which is extremely strenuous. Not recommended for anybody that is not in decent physical condition. Overall, not a great location for a motorcycle vacation, but beautiful otherwise!

Beautiful

This was the cleanest cabin we have ever rented and that includes all the cabins in Pigeon Forge and Kentucky. Didn't have to put up with cleaning any mouse turds or fighting big black ants trying to eat us. No bugs whatsoever. I would recommend this cabin to anyone.

We loved the coziness!

The home was very welcoming. The driveway was steep, but it wasn't bad once we figured it out.

Nice mountain retreat.

Beautiful home and nice location. It is very important to have 4 wheel drive to reach the house. Driveways are very steep. Husband didn't believe it until he saw with his own eyes. House needs some repairs but such as stairs on further driveway and a few repairs inside like loose door frame boards. Overall, my family and the other couple with us were happy there.

Maggie Valley Cabin

We have a fantastic family getaway! For the 6 nights we were there, we had all the cookware basics needed to have meals in, plenty of towels and blankets, and lots of space. The driveways were steep, but we found one more manageable than the other so no major trouble. We had a lovely time!

Home away from home

We LOVED this hideaway (an accurate term for this home). Well built, beautiful wood throughout; no bugs inside; clean; kitchen had every appliance we needed; decorated lovely; cozy sitting in front of the gas fireplace; really nice furniture throughout. The scenery from the front porch is wonderful! We felt like we were sitting up in the trees. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home and wished we could have stayed longer. Would stay there again. NOTE: When I first approached the property, I was really taken back by the incline of the driveways. I drove a Telluride with all wheel drive and had no problem. I backed my car up the left driveway (the side with the most stairs) and parked it at the very top on a slight incline (there are no level areas up there). Then easy to pull down the driveway to leave, which we did every day. That worked perfectly.

Nice cabin

It's a nice cabin. As stated the driveway is steep. The TV gets plenty of channels and the basket of games is nice. I will say the downstairs shower head is pitiful and needs to be replaced with something better. Also the trashcan in the kitchen is half the size of a normal kitchen trashcan. A little annoying how small it is and how fast it fills up. It is a nice cabin and in good shape. I would rent it again.

What the heck

Front porch was filthy. Tub faucet leak. Refrigerator was not working. I received a notice that a small replacement was placed in dining room the night before check in. I heard later that the refrigerator had not been working for about a month. Roof leaked from bad storm and water dripped on mattresses. Had to move mattresses to living room. Driveway on east side is dangerous at bottom of steps. Parking vehicles is difficult to steepness of driveway.

Needs refinement and a better listing

Ad wasn't necessarily detailed and should provide more info. The driveway is so steep your car may not make it and if it does you'll likely leave some rubber down. Wifi didn't work all weekend and Vasasa didn't respond about it, bedroom had a light bulb out, dust all over on various places, master shower valve only had hot water in one position or none at all, many small things overlooked. Didn't get much support, they also didn't communicate to us that someone was coming, while we were gone we came back and padlock was off lower door. Someone had been there in house and we had no idea since they didn't tell us. Grill wasn't clean it was pretty knarly. When you walk out back door your view is a dirt wall where house is built in to the hill. No ice maker action in fridge. Could name other things but you should know this going in. Vacasa customer service was pretty poor and the next day we were chased out by Vacasa on the phone after asking for a late check in so we had to leave at 10am.

Leaves slippery

Property was on steep hill. It was covered with slippery leaves. My lady friend fell spraining her wrist and I fell severely injuring my knee. We both were laid up for the duration of the week. All this could have been avoided by blowing the leaves off prior to guest arriving. Otherwise the cabin was nice.

The Cabin was great. It was beautiful and clean. There was not any sheets for the pull out beds.

I would recommend to anyone before they rent this cabin you will need a Four wheel drive vehicle. We had trouble every time we left, due to not having Four wheel drive in my car.

Spacious and very clean cabin

Forrest Hideaway is a spacious and comfortable. Very clean and well taken care of. In a quiet neighborhood with lots of privacy. Great for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. Enjoyed the wrap around porch with rocking chairs.
