About this property

Cozy Cabin w/ Breathtaking Mountain view, hot tub, fire fit, game room & luxury.

Top mountain view, both natural and beautiful, perfect way to disconnect and relax. The most beautiful thing about this cabin besides the Luxury inside is the view it offers, and a firepit that makes you feel like you're alone in the mountain. We highly recommend only in winter or snowy/icy weather to bring a 4X4 vehicle.

Amazing cabin
We had an amazing time. Beautiful cabin the only down fall was the room TVs did not work. Very spacious for the family. Our truck was perfect 4x4 for driving up to the cabin.

Some great, some less-than-great
This review is coming from someone who has been renting cabins in the WNC mountains at least twice a year for nearly a decade. I understand that cabin rentals are never perfect and that in exchange for remoteness, there will be challenges. With that in mind, this property is amazing in so many ways, but substantially less great in others. As advertised, the views from this cabin are absolutely unbelievable. We had the opportunity to see two sunrises that I will not soon forget. Also, we loved the solitude. The drive to the cabin is pretty standard for that part of the country. If you want a good view and some quiet, be prepared for some unpaved roads and steep inclines. I actually thought the 4-mile unpaved section was fairly well-maintained. Another pro is the construction of the cabin; the layout suited our party of 8 and there was plenty of room to spread out inside and out! The game room was a huge hit for family members of all ages. Despite all of this, we had issues. First of all, the major appliances in the kitchen are in dire need of a refresh. The garbage disposal was not working at all and the refrigerator had a terrible odor. Second, the TV situation isn't great. I suppose that is not really the reason one comes to a cabin; however, New Years weekend is a huge football weekend and we had several family members who were invested in the games. Streaming only worked so-so. Finally, and worst of all, the cabin essentially ran out of water after 36 hours. If a cabin is advertised to sleep 8, one would assume that there would be sufficient water supply for 8 people to shower, use the toilets, and cook/wash dishes. Such was not the case. We had to reset the water pump 4 times in the last 24 hours just to have a few drops of water to take quick showers, use the toilets, and wash dishes. Not a very relaxing end to a vacation and a deal-breaker as far as considering renting this cabin again.

Gorgeous cabin, secluded
The cabin itself was immaculate. We had so much room for us and our kids. The game room was a big hit as well as the hot tub that was on the back deck. This location is literally on the side of the mountain, very secluded. The downfall of that is the drive to get there. The description in the listing did mention that a 4-wheel drive vehicle would be best but even with that it was difficult traveling on the 2-mile long dirt road, going uphill. We also STRONGLY advise not traveling to the property at night on the first night. We had no idea just how off road, steep, and yes, a little frightening, the drive would be. We also experienced a lack in communication from the property management in regards to check in and also trying to call for directions when the GPS took us to a different house that is located a short distance from this cabin as well as a few other issues.

Drive to the property can be difficult.
The last couple of miles to the property is very winding and all uphill. And the road is not paved and single lane. Fortunately I read a prior review that recommended 4x4 . I recommend you inform future renters of this need.

A hidden jewel
Everything was excellent . Cabin is even more beautiful once you are there , pictures don’t do justice , and has an amazing jacuzzi and wood log already ready for the fire pit outside , board games besides the pool table and the ping pong , and everything you need for a worry free cabin in solitude family or couple vacay . You can literally listen to the sound of nature . I just recommend to get a 4 x4 vehicle, since 0.5 miles to the cabin can be very steep and it could rain lots , but it’s extremely safe , it just helps to get there easier with a 4x4 . Host was kind , quick and efficient . A mountain cabin dream getaway.
