We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was nice to unplug, enjoy the outdoors and a nice fire. All of the furnishings were comfortable and clean. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you for a great stay.
Spent a long weekend at this cozy cabin. It's small, but well appointed and we lacked for nothing. An ideal setting to get back to nature, we saw and heard plenty of wildlife including several deer. Even with an outside temp in the 90s, it felt comfortable in the cabin with the A/C. Sitting on the porch at night, with gentle night time breezes was perfect.
Our daughter and her new husband’s stay was incredible. Beautiful cabin, lake, sunrise and amenities. Host was very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend!

The location was amazing and the cabin was perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer. My wife and I will definitely make this a destination spot throughout the year. It was so nice to be on the ranch without city noise. The only sounds were nature.
We had a lovely stay and I would stay there again. The cabin is definitely secluded. Once you make the drive into the site it is very easy. We loved coffee on the porch in the morning looking out at the pond, and drinks in the evening. The cabin itself is lovely inside with everything one might need. The bottle of Cab was a wonderful welcome. Sean, the owner, was responsive and easy to text. Thanks for the great stay.
Perfect get away from the noise of the city, particularly over the long weekend. Very much enjoyed our time in the peace and quiet, and my husband loved having the pond there....caught (and released) quite a number of fish over our stay. Great find and hope to book again.
This place is stunning; the decor is cozy/welcoming and the place is clean. Sean was very helpful and easy to communicate with, and check in/ out were smooth. The hammock was a relaxing place to unwind with a book by the pond. Will definitely be back when we need to unwind and unplug again!
We had the nicest time and will definitely be back! I loved all the details of the cabin! Very nice and super comfortable! It was very peaceful and quiet. We all wanted to stay longer! Beautiful spot! An amazing experience! Thank you Sean for always being available and quick to message and text back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
My husband and I stayed here in February 2023 for 2 nights which were NOT long enough. Next time I will have to book a whole week because neither of us wanted to leave. We saw ducks in the pond, deer roaming around, got to see some horses and cute cows on the property...it was the most relaxing experience. Can't wait to book it again!
Our Duck Pond cabin stay couldn't have been more relaxing. The stream and waterfalls were beautiful, the birdwatching was good and the area in and outside of the cabin even better than we expected. Air conditioning and a super comfortable king bed. No noise, no interruptions, just perfection.
We had a great time at this cabin. I loved the welcome sign with my name at the front door. The bottle of red wine was also a nice touch. The design inside the cabin was amazing. The only negative would be the dog hair on the breakfast nook bench and the refrigerator being dirty inside. Otherwise we would stay there again.
This cabin was everything as promised and then some. It’s close enough to town where you can be in the mix, shop and eat, but far enough removed to get the r&r that you’re looking for. Also, the details in the interior design really hit the mark. Warm bedding, soft lights, all the amenities . . . right down to the plush floor rug on each side of the bed so they’re the first thing your feet touch when starting your day. The little things really do make all the difference which Sean, our host, clearly understands. Thanks for a great stay. It’s exactly what we wanted and needed.
Wow, where do I start? I work remotely and occasionally like to switch up the setting so I don't hate my own home. If you don't do this, I highly suggest. Anyhow, I attended a wedding on this ranch last year and my girlfriend, the bride, stayed at their cabin which I remembered was also available for rent. This was a total treat. Sean was great about communicating arrival directions and I really had no reason to ask for anything from there. The cabin itself has such a cute aesthetic - has a view of a pond, the comfiest bed, good internet connection, and a toasty fireplace cozy up to. (God, I love a good fireplace in the winter.) I don't know why this place doesn't have more reviews, maybe it's new? But if you were wondering about whether or not to book, don't hesitate. This place is great. Thanks, Sean!
Stop scrolling. This is your next stay. My wife is good about booking us a few breaks from the city each year and this one just got bumped to #1. The Duck Pond sits on a stunning ranch just outside of well-known Grass Valley. So you have access to everything you want and need in town but have the luxury of total privacy and space during your stay. And by space I mean 400+ acres. We started our mornings with the kids playing spot-the-animal outside while we took our coffees overlooking the pond. Then we popped into town where the Mrs. was able to drop in on some "cute boutique shops" (her words) while I grabbed a beer - go to Grass Valley Brewing Co. and Thirsty Barrel Taphouse if you appreciate a good craft selection . Our nights were then spent enjoying the cabin, the kids playing games in front of the fireplace while we cooked dinner (easy to do with a fully-stocked kitchen).
We love the city. But we both work quite a bit and appreciate our resets when we get them which is exactly what we got while here. We don't generally stay somewhere twice, but we're thinking about coming back in the summer for round two. Great job, guys.
