Our trip was amazing as always. The hosts are incredible, thoughtful, and communicative. The house is charming and feels like a home away from home. The surroundings are picturesque. Seriously, we already can’t wait to come back and highly recommend this place!!
The kitchen was well stocked. They had snacks and sodas for us. They also provided homemade jam that allowed us to take home and also enjoyed there. There were three very friendly barn cats that greeted us. They also had horses and goats. The owners were very polite and helpful.
Lovely cottage away from roads or other noise. Nicely open kitchen plus dining room and living areas. Midwest charming. We sat inside when it rained and watched the wildlife around the small lake and marsh. Everything we needed, and the bonus of a friendly outdoor cat who elaborately greeted us every day. We were happy to meet the owners who were very kind. Would definitely rent this or other nearby house (if we gather a much bigger group of relatives) again.
It is a half mile off a county road on a farm property. It is very quiet here. There is a pond a short distance away and the sounds of the crickets will lull you to sleep at night. Several friendly cats will come around to say hello. Despite being off the beaten path there are many options for restaurants close by. I really enjoyed my stay & when I am in the area again will try to book this property again.
We were overall happy with this stay. But not so much with vrbo. We had another location reserved and fully paid for before it was canceled on the day we were suppored to get our checkin information. We ended up spending an additional $400 due to the last minute change. Vrbo support didn’t have very good communication skils. 2 stars for vrbo.
Our stay was terrific. The farm is lovely. Our grand-daughter loved visiting the horses and goats. Well equipped kitchen. Super clean and tidy. Comfortable beds - on the softer side, which we prefer. Board games came in handy on rainy days. Communication was great & contactless checkin made our arrival easy. We'll be back to this quiet, peaceful spot when we visit family again.
This property was a wonderful getaway from the hustle and bustle in Lake Genva. We were looking for a quiet place to stay and this was perfect. A little hard to find at first but we were plesantly surprised and how spacious, beautiful and homey the place was. We live in a very small town and didnt want the hotel experience. For our first vrbo stay this exceeded any and all expectations. The host even checked on us but left us to our own as well. Offering a ton of privacy. My boys absolutely loved the wildlife around the property and seeing the farm animals. Would 100% recommend bringing your family to get away and back to a relaxing simple life. Thank you again!
I hv OCD & topped with COVID still being passed, I clean everywhere I go. The property wasn’t as clean as I expected. Maybe my first couple VRBO’s hv me spoiled. The tub was really really clean though! For some reason every time we left and came back our door was unlocked. The area was really secluded which made us feel like maybe no one was in the house. However, we checked the entire house upon every return-just to be safe. The door thing was weird. When our electronic padlock @ home does weird things changing the batteries usually help.
We had an incredible time. The house was on a beautiful farm with wonderful views. Owner was extremely communicative and very nice. We had a nice peaceful weekend!!
