GREAT LOCATION IN YOUR PRICE RANGE. Relaxing 3 bedroom, 1 bath. 2 MILES to Folly Beach. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Plenty of restaurants, grocery stores and bars within walking distance. 5 miles to downtown Charleston. James Island County Park is 2 miles away. Historic Houses and Gardens are about 10 miles away. The home is fully stocked with all your kitchen needs. Pet friendly-up to 2. Great place to stay if you are visiting the Citadel or College of Charleston. Going to a concert at Charleston Music Hall, stay here! Going on a Ghost Walk Downtown- Perfect location. Updates to unit on May 25, 2023: new stove/ 3rd bedroom/blinds in all windows/outside sitting area and 4 beach chairs.

Was nice before bigs were found in the bed

House was as expected when you show up site unseen. Bugs were found underneath the sheets in one of the beds, and when we told the property owner about it, she gave a solution of changing the sheets which doesn’t solve the bug problem. When me and my friends said we were not staying there because of the bugs in the bed. She took it to heart and then the conversation got heated. The owner proceeded to take a video of my friend and her one year-old calling her and her child gross and disgusting. Somethings were said that probably shouldn’t have but the owner was very rude. True my friend should have just walked away but the owner should’ve been a bigger person and just stopped engaging but then proceeded to call a 1 year old gross and dirty. If she would’ve stopped the conversation, I wouldn’t have to be writing this.

Value good for location. Picture od exterior would be useful in setting expectations. Auto body shop next door ŵas not a problem. A solid barrier between the sitting area and the street would be useful as the sea breeze blew the curtains horizomal

Cute cozy stay

Other than some minor things this house was great. We didn’t have time to get to the beach and thought it would be closer, but that’s ok! Owner was super responsive and the house was accommodating. Next time we are booing for a wedding I will have to think more about bathroom space. Being close to Walmart was super convent!

NOV24 Trip

The issue with our stay was cleanliness related, and the owners should probably look into a new cleaning staff. When we arrived at 5 (after check in) the property had not been cleaned. The cleaner arrived shortly after we did, and right before I was going to call the property manager. We agreed to wait until she was finished cleaning since sometimes things happen. But even once she finished cleaning, it was clear that she rushed. There were old McDonalds cups/wappers in the cabinets, blankets left on the couch that clearly had not been washed in several visits, and the bathroom only received a surface level clean. Because I had my kids with me, and didn't want to try to find additional lodgings, I just cleaned the bathroom myself and removed the blankets from the couches and beds. It is a shame because the location is great for what we needed, although it is on a VERY busy street so beware. Hopefully the owners will address the cleanliness issue, as it could be a good place to stay beyond that.

It is a Beautiful little duplex house. With 3 bedrooms and Everything you need! It has its own Kitchen and Living room, even a little Dining room. Great Location right near the beach. It is right on Folly Road so there’s a lot of traffic going by. And then it looks like it was recently painted maybe a little too thick so some of the bedroom doors are hard to close and open, but these were minor things. For the most part, we had a great stay. I would recommend it and consider staying there again on my next visit to Charleston!

Great house for the value!

Our family came to Charleston for a wedding. There were six of us and a hotel was just too expensive and not an option. We found this cute little three bedroom house. The price was right and we really enjoyed staying there. It’s on a busy street which concerned us, but we never heard any of the noise, even at night while sleeping. Ellen was a great host and even let us check in a little early due to trying to get to the rehearsal dinner in time. I love how accommodating she was and kind.

Beach trip

Over-all was good trip. I would not suggest sleeping 9 people there. It is nice but to small for 9 with 1 bathroom. Could use a little updating.

Great (close to)beach stay!

Me and my 4 other friends stayed here and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It is a perfectly fine little house that was so conveniently close to food, grocery stores, and the beach. And as a group of just girls, feeling safe in a vacation home is definitely a major factor! Everything was clean and had plenty of room for a decent sized group of people! Overall, I would highly recommend staying here!

Left Early

We left one night early as this place was very disappointing. The property is located on a very busy road. The house is not in good condition. The side door has a 1/4-1/2” gap which allows bugs and is definitely large enough for rodents. Our dog was obsessed with trying to lick in the gap of the kitchen floor and cabinets. When my wife shined her light, she said it was caked with food. The dishes and silverware from the cabinets and drawer were dirty. The beds were noisy and uncomfortable. The primary bedroom has a cheap blind allowing car lights to shine directly into the room. The rugs were grimy and the floors and shower were very soft leading us to believe there is a lot of rot under the floors. We would have left immediately, but we didn’t have choices to change to. I would not recommend.

Close to everything

This is a barebones home as the listing says but it had what we needed to be comfortable. The home was close to the beach and close to historic district. Grocery store and restaurants within walking distance.

Perfect Girls Weekend!

This was the perfect house if you are looking to be close to the beach and downtown Charleston. It was about 15 minutes from each. The house was clean and great for a quick weekend away with girlfriends. This is a basic house but had everything we needed. The only thing I would note is it is right on a main road so there is some road noise. There was a grocery store and food options right across the road as well.

Enjoyed stay

Disappointed that the usual amenities, such as coffee, were not available. I have been spoiled by VRBO hosts in the past, both domestic and international. There were always bottles of water, coffee, etc. available upon checkin.

Nice but…

Overall I think it was a great deal for the money. IA few things we want to Point out…Concerned about lighting outside (none), gap under front door that allows bugs in (flies etc). The bed was comfy and we had no trouble sleeping. AC was great. Bathroom- no toiletries , sink is loose and socket doesn’t have a circuit breaker In bedroom behind kitchen the outlet by bed has no cover. Over head light in kitchen didn’t work -there were no ice cube trays.
