This property lived up to its listening. Our family included two teenagers and the two queen beds and inflatable mattress were perfect. The location was convenient to day trips to Olympic National Park (Marymere Falls, Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Falls and Hot Springs and the Hoh Rainforest). Thank you.
Honestly we were a bit scared when we pulled up to the house and the grass was tall. Don’t let the lack of curb appeal scare you, the inside is nice 👍 loved the kitchen and living room. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were nice. Washer and dryer work great. Loved the location of house! The neighborhood seemed safe and it was quiet. The bathroom could use a refresh but overall we would stay again.
Simple home with well appointed kitchen. Limited outdoor options with small porch for entrance and a simple grill.
Neighborhood is not inviting so we simply stayed inside and treated the home like a hotel room.
Grill ran out of gas while cooking supper so we finished on the stove. Load of laundry was in dryer and mostly dry when we arrived.
The home could have been better prepared for our arrival though we made it all work out.

Great property but host reduces stars
We loved the property itself. It was very clean, had plenty of towels and everything we needed in the kitchen, and the beds were comfortable. However, the host pushed the check-in time back two hours the morning of the day we were supposed to check in (she said she sent the message at 10 am for the 3 pm check-in but we did not receive it until after 2 pm). All of the communications we received from VRBO and from the host (3 in total) prior to our stay listed 3 pm as the check-in time, but the host texted us and said it was a typo and the actual time of check-in was 5 pm. When I asked if she could honor the original time since we were just a few minutes away, she said the house was not clean and we could not stay there until after 5, although we could leave groceries there. I told her that this was frustrating as it was my son’s birthday and we had planned to cook a fairly time-consuming meal, and she told me I could “cancel the reservation if it was such an ordeal.” She then said that the listing time was wrong and should be 5 pm but VRBO wouldn’t let her change it. After we actually accessed the property, the printed instructions posted to the refrigerator listed 3 pm as the check-in time. I felt that the host was very disingenuous and I wish she had just been honest with us about the fact that the house wasn’t clean, instead of pretending that she had made a typo and it was 5 pm all along. She never apologized for the inconvenience as we had to kill time sitting and waiting
We had a quick one night stay on our Pacific Northwest adventure. Super easy check in process. House was very clean and ready for us. Well equipped and perfect for the night. We were close to town for dinner and close to Olympic State Park which was our destination. Great experience and would recommend for anyone looking for a home base while visiting the parks.
This was a nice place and was as described in the listing. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I did reach out to the owner twice, once before the trip, and once after and have had no response either time. We tried to have a BBQ but the tank was out of propane, there was no sugar left in the box for our coffee, and the master bed frame was wobbly. I was also surprised to see the property overgrown with weeds and shrubbery. It didn’t set the picture for a nice stay. Overall the place was nice, it just needed a few minor repairs annd TLC and it could be a great place! I did appreciate how clean it was so that was nice.
Our family of five (3 teenagers) was comfortable here while we enjoyed Port Angeles. We highly recommend sunset at the Hurricane Hill hike in Olympic Park, the Spit past the paper mill, Welly’s for ice cream, and 929 Woodfire grill (date food). We almost finished the 1000 piece puzzle.
Okay place to stay if you are looking for a place to sleep only
1. There were ants. All food has to go in the fridge. The yard is extremely overgrown and uncared for, so maybe this is contributing, but we had to vacuum and mop every day in order to keep them out of the kitchen and the bedroom next to the kitchen, which isn’t how I wanted to spend my vacation.
2. The yard is overgrown with weeds. If you have dogs, there is no place for them to go to the bathroom because the grass in the front and backyard is so overgrown. maybe it’s for the bees, but it looks like she’s too lazy to use the money she charges to have a landscaper come in and fix the place. There’s also a million stray bunnies and rabbits around the place, so dogs will go wild. Maybe it’s for the bees, but it looks awful and has to be contributing to the bug situation.
3. The place looks and feels cheap for how much she is charging. I stayed here so I could bring my dogs and she charged an extra 100 pet fee, on top of the standard cleaning fee and then took another 200 dollars to replace a single piece of trim that my dog destroyed. I was okay paying for the damage, but she didn’t show me the invoice and I’m 100% certain she just took me for a ride and replaced the trim and the door itself, when it was a single piece of trim that was damaged.
4. She listed that there was an “onsite gym” which is exactly 3 sets of dumbbells from 3,5, and 12 pounds. That’s not an “onsite gym.”
I wouldn’t stay here. The listing hyped the place up. It’s essentially lipstick on an old shack.

Charming two bedroom cottage. Our only comment would be to provide more than two bath towels. The host did mention to ask for anything, hence my highest rating.
Wonderful property, great care taken to make it a lovely place to stay. All details thought of. Fully stocked kitchen. Wonderful host. We’d return again.
Nice stay. Previous renter trash was in yard on ground and Previous renter laundry was still in washer and dryer.
Cleaners could do better with a few things there.
Checkin was easy and communication was good.
Price is very good. Probably should work on the few minor things with cleaners and increase the price 50 to 75 and it would still be a very good deal.
Initially the host was great, she informed me of a clogged drain in the bath tub and had that fixed prior to our arrival. She communicated well through this process. Upon checkout I removed the sheets to place in the washer and found three huge stains on the mattress cover. I reported this to the owner and her reply basically implied that I done this?? I mean really?!?! She then told me that she wouldn’t have her tenants remove the sheets if she weren’t confident of the cleanliness, and to put the ones I sent her a picture of in the trash as they couldn’t be used and again, I had to tell her it was a mattress pad. Her sheets that we had were all colored and even the extra ones in the closet and the ones left in the dryer were all colored. There was a wet blanket left in the washing machine as well and I was asked to place this on the dryer for them to re-wash. And to place the towels and sheets in the washer, if I didn’t mind and I did take the wet blanket out of the washer and placed it on the dryer as directed. Just horrible that she replied as she did. I felt like I was helping in pointing this out. Won’t stay again due to the mattress pad and her response.
