Great cabin

The cabin layout was perfect for our family. The kids nook in the downstairs bedroom made nights so easy with two littles. The location was close enough to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, making traveling to activities a breeze. Would definitely stay here again!

Mountain getaway

This home was beautiful! Our children (2, 3, and 5) enjoyed every second of being here and loved the bunk bed. My husband and I enjoyed that the rooms were connected, and the girls were able to walk into our room overnight when they felt scared. The location was quiet and clean, and the owners were very responsive. It is super close to Pigeon Forge! We are already planning to take our 9-hour ride back to this cosy cabin!! Thank you!

Quick stay from Texas for a Family reunion

Our stay was great. Wish we would have had more time to explore but we were on somewhat of a time crunch as we were there for a family reunion. We would absolutely come back to this cabin it was very enjoyable.

Quiet and comfortable

We booked birds nest for our daughters 10th bday bc she as for a trip over a party. Loved the game room, hot tub, and the pool is a short drive but nice. We took 4 kids and not one complain the entire trip. Master bedroom bed is so comfortable and has adjustment settings, it’s so relaxing with the electric fire place. Property was also very clean, and check in/out was so easy. We are already looking at booking again!

Amazing property, pool table and arcade games

We had an amazing time, ended up seeing a bear and her 3 cubs walk past the property. Kids were entertained by the arcade machine and pool table, it was really nice there were televisions in about every room so was easy keeping the kiddos entertained and getting them to bed. The beds were super comfortable, fire places were a nice touch.

Nice getaway

We had a wonderful time. Being up in the hills of Tennessee was so refreshing! The cabin was nice and the deck allowed us to watch a bear go down the hill and onto a path below. The only downfall is the road!! It is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass by and had severe potholes in a few places. If they could make that so it is safer for all travelers this would be a place to returm to again.

Cabin needs a good cleaning and has a major fly problem.

The cabin is nicely decorated, good size and has what you need for your stay however it desperately needs a deep cleaning, the floors left our socks and feet black immediately upon arrival and the downstairs bathroom had large amounts of long dark hair all over the floor so it’s not being cleaned very well between guests. Also, there is a major fly problem in this cabin. We killed 75+ flies in the downstairs bedroom/bathroom during our stay. They are EVERYWHERE and we could not figure out where they were coming from. We arrived back at the cabin one afternoon to nine dead flies in the bathroom and 4 or 5 flying around. It’s never ending trying to kill them and you can hear them at night when trying to sleep. We visited the pool at Honeysuckle RV park and were told our cabin was not on the list and it was $5 per person to get in. We called red door getaways and this was very quickly corrected by Cynthia and we were refunded our entry fee. The bed on main floor is two mattresses pushed together that are not level and the left side is very uncomfortable. We wanted to love this cabin and would have had the flies not been such a problem.

A bit underwhelming but still nice

The house was beautiful! When we got there at night, the door was unlocked, and left wide open. We called Red Door (who were available for communication and suggested it was possibly the cleaning crew). We also found sheets in a ripped grocery bag on the loft couch (Again, red door suggested it was cleaning crew). We took several pictures of things around the house so we had proof things were damaged before our stay began. The downstairs bedroom was gorgeous! There was a significant mildew smell in the downstairs bathroom, the footboard to the bed is extremely faulty and wobbly. Loved the electric and gas fireplaces. Laundry room was well-packed with pillows. Towels were very plentiful and available, but we found multiple long white hairs in them. The shower was also not well cleaned; the shower door sounds like it’ll break off when opened. The bedroom vent in the ceiling was held on by tape on the inside and sticking halfway out of the ceiling so that was interesting. The sleep-number-type bed was very comfy! Cute furniture and decor. The upstairs bedroom, the bed did not properly fit the frame, there was a broken lamp, and those towels had hairs in them too. Hot tub was good, stocked kitchen equipment. Not a fan of paying cleaning fee & having to take all the trash out and clean up the towels. Game room was a nice touch! BYO pool sticks. Streaming services on all tvs! View underwhelming and clearly visible spider webs inside. Cleaning crew needs a big upgrade I’d say.

Wonderful Respite

Great location and very quiet. Loved the cabin and the location. Only drawback was the severe turn in the road to get to the cabin. The unit has plenty of activities! We stayed in one evening and grilled steaks. Decided to have a cornhole tourney, followed by some tall tales around the fire pit.

Great House!

This house worked very well for our group, which consisted of two couples. It is nicely decorated, and the description and pictures are accurate. Wears Valley is a cute area with great, casual restaurants and interesting shops to poke around in. It’s a good home base to explore the area. Please note that the king rooms aren’t both primary bedrooms; although both are nice, one of the bedrooms is definitely the primary bedroom (larger and with a private balcony). It should also be noted that the larger bedroom is connected without a door to the third small bedroom with the bunkbeds. It might be difficult to have anybody other than children staying in that room for privacy reasons. We didn’t use it so it wasn’t a concern for us but it could matter to other groups. While there was construction on several houses on the street, we were gone during the day and it never bothered us at all. Communication with the manager was quick and helpful, providing restaurant suggestions and giving us late checkout. We would happily stay here again!

Satisfied Serene Slay Stay

Sizzle Sizzle, Pop, Wow! Oh boy, where to begin. This cabin was not only extremely clean and had numerous amenities, it provided us with tranquil surroundings to enjoy our relaxing trip. Between the hot tub, remote controlled bed, and fireplaces/ fire pit our stay was filled with whimsy. The cabin was very well kept and had all the essentials for a pleasing stay. In a centralized location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, this was a prime location for a fun filled visit in the Smoky Mountains. Definitely would recommend for any family, large group, or monopoly lovers. XOXO, Big Bear and Fam🐾

Peaceful, cozy house in the woods

Our family of three enjoyed a quiet, peaceful week at this home in the woods. The property was very clean. The property management company was responded quickly to inquiries. A large grocery store is minutes up the road. Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Area in the Smoky Mountains Park is a short drive down the road, and the Townsend Y is a a bit farther down the road - both pleasant places for swimming, picnicking, playing in the water. Note that both require a Park Parking Pass, which you can get at the Townsend Visitor Center or from a machine at Metcalf Bottoms. The kitchen was well equipped with quality pots and skillets, and even containers for leftovers - a boon for us since we eat all of our meals in. Many rentals have skillets that are scratched and hard to use for cooking eggs. Our young person loved the video game machine upstairs. One morning my husband looked up and saw two bears just off the front porch! We watched the two cubs and their mama from inside as they ambled around the fire pit and down the hill beside the house. It was amazing! One note is that the road to the house is a paved but narrow, one-lane road with essentially no shoulder, and makes a 90 degree turn. And it is steep. My husband navigated it fine, but some individuals may not feel comfortable driving it, especially in freezing weather. We would stay again.

Highly recommend. Home was clean and in a quiet area. Close to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg & Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Locally owned restaurants nearby for breakfast or a real Philly Cheesesteak! Nice layout of home for 2 couples to stay and each have their own space. 2 full bathrooms for each bedroom on separate levels. The outside decks were tree top view & relaxing in morning & evening. No mountain view, but not necessary as we didn’t spend much time at the cabin. The mountains can be seen at bottom of driveway. Minutes from park entrance. Had everything you need to make your stay relaxing & enjoyable. Great price & amenities.

Convenient, but secluded area

The cabin was as advertised. It would have been nice if there was a curtain separating the kids bunk area from the downstairs master. It was adequately clean, but floors and rugs were a bit dirty when we arrived. The kitchen was small but well stocked. The upstairs master bed was a bit rickety and could have used a comforter. The kids enjoyed the game room and the hot tub was nice size for our family. Overall we would recommend it especially for a larger family or a family and a set of grandparents. Location was nearby to do activities, but still felt secluded and was very quiet area.
