We spent a long weekend here...

And we loved it. So tranquil and seren, we felt like we were a thousand miles away, although we only drove an hour and a half to get here. We didn't get to see everything up here, but we'll be coming back.

Beautiful, clean cabin

We had such a great time. The view was beautiful, the cabin was extremely clean and well stocked. The check out was easy. The driveway is steep and a tiny bit confusing, but once we got it we were good. The beds were actually really comfortable, and we loved the hot tub with a view. 10/10, would love to come back.

Rural cabin

Beautiful cabin. Very, very rural. Closest Walmart/grocery store is about 45 minutes to an hour away. The mountain road to get there is very long and curvy. Overall, this is a very nice cabin, but come prepared to stay as a “quick trip to the store” is no such thing.

Amazing, long overdue, well deserved Mountain getaway.

Beautiful, peaceful/quiet Mountain retreat. Fairly secluded. (Other homes/cabins fairly close by.) Amazing Mountain views. GREAT location for 30-40 minute drives for day trips to nearby towns.(Blueridge, Elijay, Blairsville, Helen and Dahlonega). MANY Wineries, Distilleries, restaurants and attractions nearby. "Driveway" a bit steep for smaller vehicles, but manageable. Clean, SUPER comfy beds and well stocked with paper goods, spices, plates, utensils, glassware (byo wine glasses) and a Keurig coffee maker. (With pod option for regular coffee). Communication with owner/caretaker VERY responsive. Definitely would recommend, and will be back. Such a wonderful spot.

Home away from home

I tired all day is home away from home because it literally is Stocked with anything, and everything that you could possibly need or want to use. For example, there is a shower caddy to store our shampoo and body washes… We have never had that in a cabin. May seem silly to some however it was mine blowing to us… Potato peeler, Tupperware dishes to store leftovers, etc you name it they have it now to go on about the peaceful and beautiful view from the two porches… breathtaking and very hard to leave. Beautiful cabin, inside and out love the decor, and the comforts that it had. After my stay in this cabin, I do not want to look elsewhere for future stays. I will definitely be a returning guest.

Beautiful views but…

Came here for an anniversary trip. This place is located in a beautiful and remote area. You are about 45 min from any grocery store and gas stations are far and few between but thankfully we prepared for that. We loved the gorgeous mountain drive and the hot tub overlooking the mountains. Nice fire place and fire pit also. It has a modern yet cozy cabin feel. When we arrived the place seemed very clean. We did however run into an an issue with ants during our stay and they got worse despite our efforts to keep everything clean. Also, the power went out on our last night and we only had one flashlight so that was kind of frustrating but also hopefully not a common occurrence. Wi-Fi was kind of weak but that wasn’t super important for us. Overall, we would probably recommend this place and return again.

Great place to getaway for couples or small family!

The cabin was just as described and a perfect getaway for me and my husband. It is in a quiet, little community and is pretty much secluded. Check in and checkout is a seamless process and the managers are just a text away, even texting after check in to be sure the cabin was up to par as we arrived. The cabin is beautifully decorated and definitely up to trend as far as decorations and design are concerned. The view from the porch/hot tub is beautiful in the morning and evening. We enjoyed using the fireplace, but beware, it struggles to draft up (yes even with the flue completely open) when you first light it and caused a good bit of smoke in the living area for the first 5-10 minutes but got much better and aired out quickly by opening the front and back doors. We spent most of our time in Dahlonega, which is about a 35 minute drive. The road there is quite curvy but if you don’t mind driving, definitely worth it for the the quality of the cabin. We enjoyed the swinging bridge which is an easy hike and about 15 minutes up past the cabin. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a secluded and relaxing time away!

Quiet Minimilistic Mountain Cabin

Overall we had a great stay here at Oak and Antler. The cabin was spotless and the location was great. The drive up to cabin is steep, which is to be expected, but it is also only wide enough for one vehicle. Thankfully, this was never an issue during our stay and there is only a few other cabins up along the way, but it is something to be aware of. As I said, the cabin was very clean, but it was also minimilistic. If you like minimilistic, then this is for you. I was just hoping for a bit more of a cozy vibe that I am used to when staying in the mountains. The view off of the back porch was beautiful, especially from the hot tub at sunset. The beds were comfortable, but be aware that they do not want you to have the air conditioning set below 72 degrees. Thankfully, we stayed in November and it was not super hot, but we are from Ohio and like it to be pretty cool when we sleep, so 72 is a bit warm for us. It is just something that needs to be addressed up front and not after the booking is made on the day of your stay. If we had stayed in the summer, this would have been a deal-breaker. It is important to get good sleep when you are on vacation. It would also be great to have directions on how to work the lock (not everyone knows how to work smart locks) and start the dishwasher (not all dishwashers work the same and I had to look up a You Tube video to know that I had to press the buttons when the door was open to get it to start). Lastly, it would be helpful to have a person to reach locally (without having to wait for Vacasa to respond) for any issues that do occur. We reached out regarding a few minor issues right after we checked in and Vacasa did not respond until later that evening and then the local team did not reach out until the next morning. We were already up and out of the cabin, in the National Forest and did not have service when they reached out, so there really was not much of a chance to get our issue fixed. Thankfully, it was nothing major, but could have been avoided- the listing does not specify what kind of coffee maker is provided- It was a Keurig, but the resusable filter was missing (we checked all cabinets and cupboards for it multiple times). So, we did not have hot coffee available for us in the cabin. Thankfully, we did find some local coffee, but it would have been nice to have first thing in the morning. Like I said, overall the cabin is nice and we had a pretty good experience. Just several minor inconveniences
