Generally good, some surprises
When we were looking for a place to stay near downtown Seattle, this place looked perfect.
The Good:
There is a lot that was excellent - it's close to downtown as-expected. We flew in at 10 am, and our host was able to get us an early check in at 12.
It was a hot week, and the AC in the room was a lifesaver. The shared washer/dryer was great, and we had no issues conflicting with others. The common area was nice and never busy, but we were grateful that there was a TV in the room.
The Bad:
One thing we were looking for was a place with dedicated parking and the listing said "Parking on site". What we didn't realize until we got our check-in document the day of was "Parking on site" means "street parking on a busy street where there's rarely actual parking available".
Unfortunately, I was injured at the time on crutches. Our unit was on the 3rd floor up many steps, and while the listing did show one set of stairs, I did not realize how big of an accessibility issue we would have at that home. The "micro" ness of the rooms also cannot be overstated - the rooms are big enough to hold a bed and a little way to walk around it which made my stay difficult. Combined with the parking woes, getting to and from the place was a huge challenge and if we had known in advance we probably wouldn't have booked.
Finally, the neighborhood is not good. It's adjoins a place that serves homeless/troubled people, so there were always unsavory/scary folks around. My wife wasn't comfortable.
