Located in the heart of Florence , surronded by the Santa Croce church and the Signoria square , discover a rare rooftop apartment that offers a truly magnificent view of the city . The flat is located inside a wonderfulhistorical building which was the house of the embassy of the Duchy of Milan during the 15th century . It is situated on the 4th floor ( 86 steps without elevator ) but once you reach the top the full 360° breathtakingview will leave you speechless .
The property has undergone a recent renovation to further enhance its endless beauty and traditional 15th century features . This new look has refreshed both the downstairs and upstairsmaking the apartment even more cozier and confortable for guests to enjoy . The original red terracotta floors now shine white and some of the antique furniture has been re-modelled to achieve a more modern and stylish approach .
The flat develops on two levels, on the first floor you can find the bright and spacious master bedroom with en suite marble bathroom and shower , and a second bedroom which can be either double or twin . Both rooms are boast charming views over the red florentine rooftops . A second bathroom with shower can be found too .
A charming staircase leads you to the even more " romantic " second floor . This is a truly unique and fascinating space that hosts a lounge , dining area and a fully equipped kitchen . Nine incredible windows , spread all around the room illuminate and offer a breath taking view of Florence 8 Palazzo Vecchio , Santa Croce , The Duomo.... , without forgetting the two exclusive panoramic terraces , furnished for unforgettable outdoors meals and for simply enjoying a glass of wine whilst admiring the mesmerizing views . Guests can also organize cooking class , dinner with chef and any culinary experience to bring back home with nostalgy .
All the materials used for the construction of this apartment are unique and original , dating back to the 15th century : the pavements are made of florentine terracotta and the ceilings of wooden beams. The apartment is exceptionally convenient for guests wishing to explore the city centre and visit Florence's main attractions . No need for a car , bus or taxi ! You can enjoy this wonderful city , all is within max 10 minutes by walk . This is a prime location for sightseeing and entertaining, the area is vibrant but very safe and has plenty of shops , restaurants and theatres all very close. The apartment is absolutely quite, up here there are only birds singing and tower bells noises. It’s a magical place!!
The apartment is also located two blocks far from one of the best italian restaurant: the famous Enoteca Pinchiorri.

The Perfect Apartment in Florence

This is a lovely apartment in a prime location in Florence. The bedrooms are on the smaller side, but have plenty of storage space for unpacking and storing luggage. Waking to the many bells in Florence is just wonderful! The second floor is really the best part. Quite comfortable with two gorgeous balconies and great views, and a very well equipped kitchen. We cooked at home several nights, and had the house chef prepare a meal (fee based, well worth it) one night. There is a clothing washer, no dryer, but a large drying rack is provided and there is plenty of room on the first floor to place it. The apartment is indeed 93 stairs from the ground to the first floor, which is not for the faint of heart. We are a very fit family and it definitely ensured we didn’t forget anything when we went out for the day! The location is wonderful - so close to everything. The house manager also helped us arrange a driver for a day trip to Siena and to a winery for a lunch and wine tasting. It was a highlight. We highly recommend Santa Croce.

Great location with concierge-level service

This property is in a fantastic and safe location in the heart of Florence. Tastefully remodeled apartment in a 15th century building. A very cool and comfortable place. Literally cool - A/C worked great. There was ample complementary wine/spirits and a well-equipped kitchen. But the best part is the service - I felt like I had a private concierge, and the check-in instruction was exceptional. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous Apartment

We were a family of four, with 21 and 17 year old daughters. The apartment is stunning and in a fantastic location close to everything we wanted to see. The property management team is fantastic and we will be back for our next trip in Florence! Highly recommend.

Pure Magic!

Wow, where do I even begin...This house is not only in the most amazing location but it couldn't be more perfect. The views are breathtaking, the walkability to everything was just perfect, the house is adorable and everything you could possibly imagine. Starting our trip here really did spoil us and set the expectations quite high. I will be returning to this magical place 100%. And if the house wasn't enough, the hosts...just so lovely and accommodating. When there was a train strike and we had to get to another city they jumped right in to help and really did save us. There aren't enough wonderful words to describe our whole experience. This place is a Florence MUST! <3

Fantastic Location, Views and Host

Just finished a three night stay with our two recently adult children. The property is in the middle of a bunch of great restaurants and less than 15 minute walk from anything you have to see in Florence. It also has 360 views off the two decks of the Florentine skyline. Erika was a welcoming and responsive host and made the trip very easy. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous rooftop apartment

We loved our stay at this gorgeous spotless rooftop apartment. The stairs are no joke but I thought worth it for the amazing views. I loved watching the sunrises every morning, the location can’t be beat, and our day with Erika exploring the local market and cooking dinner together was a highlight. We appreciated that all essentials were provided. Upon checkout we were allowed to leave our bags in the apartment until our train departed later that afternoon. Erika also called us a cab to go to the train station.

Beautiful Home

The property was beautiful! 360 views from every window and balcony on the top floor. We were met there by a host who gave us a tour and answered any questions we had. The wine left for us was delicious and the book with restaurant recommendations was very helpful!

Absolutely Amazing!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The views were outstanding. The apartment was clean and charming with all that we needed for a great stay. Erika was beyond excellent with check in and correspondence along as an amazing chef. I cannot recommend this apartment enough. I feel so fortunate to have stayed here.

Great location, amazing views, perfect latout

All of Florence is viewable from the stunning view from every window of this amazing property, and lots of sites are within a 5-10 minute walk in any direction. We loved our stay! The bedroom/bathroom configuration worked perfectly for our two couples, and the kitchen/living area upstairs was perfect for meals and relaxing between travels across town and into the Tuscan countryside. The hospitality was terrific…we appreciated being greeted with wine and porter service, and the notebook full of insights about things to do and places to visit was helpful. We hope to be back again after a memorable stay!

You Won't Be Disappointed

This is a gem in a safe, convenient Florence neighborhood. The views from both balconies were better than advertised. The décor was a perfect blend of shabby and antique, with the feel of an upscale country villa. Our host, Erika, met us on scene to show us the apartment. She was quick to respond to any questions we had. Ask her about cooking classes in Florence and you won't be disappointed! There are 90 or so steps to get to the apartment, which was completely fine for our family. Erika is able to schedule a luggage porter if you prefer to not carry your own luggage. The two bedrooms and two full bathrooms were downstairs while the kitchen, living room, and balconies were upstairs. We had great weather during our January stay and didn't need air conditioning, but did notice the apartment has several split unit air conditioners. The building was secured by a locking main door, another locked interior gate, as well as a heavy dead-bolted door in the apartment. The neighborhood is a block or so from the five-star Hotel Bernini. There are restaurants, cafes, shopping, and Florence landmarks within short walks. There was also a famous Tik Tok panini shop around the corner. We avoided the lines and went to the less famous neighboring places whose bread, sliced prosciutto, and cheese warranted a VRBO tip of the cap. The best compliment I could think to give about this location is I want people I care about to have a chance to experience it.

Amazing peaceful rooftop apt!

I had two weeks to enjoy my rooftop sanctuary. What an amazing location and quiet space to relax. I enjoyed the bells and views of the historic sites and rolling hills around Florence.

Rooftop Aerie

This was our first stop during our recent trip to Italy. Having been to Florence before, we wanted to try something a little different. We got our wish. Firstly, communication with the host was simple and responsive. We took a taxi from Florence Airport and were greeted by Erika, the property manager when we arrived at the apartment. Yes, there are 90 or so steps up to get to the apartment, so if you travel with a lot of luggage this could be a challenge. We travel with only carry-on, and my wife and I carried our own luggage up the stairs. I am 71. You get used to the steps after a few trips. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sun rise or set over the Duomo is quite something. One morning I watched two hot-air balloons float from Fiesole over the apartment. Wow. Flat is as described. Beds downstairs, living area and patios upstairs. Kitchen is well equipped and has two small refrigerators, plenty of room for your needs. In a great area; you can get to anything you want to see by foot. Santa Croce Church is just outside your door, Duomo just off the other side. Book your visit to Duomo, David and anything else ahead of time. Take Erika's cooking/marketing class. A highlight! Just going to the market alone would have been fun, but I really got a good feel for how to make pasta. And, Erika is fun! When taking money out of an ATM, do it in one in a bank; you can be scammed on street ATM's. In short, you will not be unhappy. Go!

Rooftop apartment

Beautifully decorated and conveniently located to most attractions. The apt was just as pictured with lovely views (although obstructed by cranes, and satellite dishes). It's a very nice and comfortable apt, but it may not be for everyone due to the many steps one has to climb to reach the apt (however, the view is your reward). I would recommend this apt for most families (who don't have mobility issues). The pros: -Nice views -Beautiful decor and attention to detail in every room -Convenient location, walking distance to most attractions -Comfortable beds -Strong A/C in every room Cons: -a lot of steps to climb to get to the apt (97 in total) -views were obstructed by cranes, satellite dishes, netting, wood planks (roof tiles were being repaired) -apt was tucked in a street (not too much curb appeal) -scaffolding and portable toilet were in front of the building when we there (not property's fault but it was not appealing and smelled which gave for a bad first impression) -far from train station

A magical experience!

We had a magical experience at this stunning rooftop apartment! The apartment is decorated beautifully and it has everything you need for a long or short stay! The views from your apartment are unforgettable from both terraces! The apartment has high ceilings, lots of natural light and it’s open and airy. The AC was a blessing after a hot day walking through Florence. This apartment is centrally located to everything. You will NOT Abe disappointed with it’s location. Yet, once you are “home” it is tranquil and quiet. The perfect combination! Our host Erika could not have been more helpful, warm and kind! Due to airline issues we didn’t arrive at our apartment until 12 am! She still made sure we had someone to greet us and a porter for our bags. She arranged taxis for us and responded to our questions right away. Don’t waste your time looking anywhere else. This apartment has it all and will help create memories that will last forever!

Excellent rooftop views of Florence

The location of this apartment can’t be beat. Great views and so close to many of the coffee shops (bars) and restaurants. As everyone comments, the stairs are something that must be factored into your decision to stay here. We are in good shape and it was a challenge for us when carrying the luggage. We got used to it and viewed the exercise as a positive after eating all of the pasta and gelato. The restaurant guide that is in the unit was so helpful and accurate. Be sure to use it. Very clean and spacious. We would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful stay

We had a great stay in Florence at this apartment. The location was convenient to everything while still being slightly away from the crowds. The apartment and views are beautiful and true to the pictures. And crucially for a July visit, the air conditioning was more than adequate.

Comfort and Beauty

This was such a comfortable and luxurious place to stay in Florence. The views are sensational and the apartment is well appointed with everything we needed. There are 97 steps to the apartment, but it is well worth the climb. Very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 teens. Thank you for a beautiful place to call home in Florence.

Fantastic apartment in the heart of Florence!

Our family of 4 including 2 teenagers had a great stay at this lovely apartment. It’s extremely well-cared for and spacious. The views from the outdoor terraces are fabulous! We felt right at home and could walk to all of the major sites in Florence. As for the stairs, we’ve been walking and climbing so many stairs since we arrived in Italy that we weren’t bothered at all by them. It’s all part of the adventure, and if you’re not in good enough shape to climb some stairs, you probably shouldn’t be vacationing in Italy!
