Headed to the mountains for a few days to ride the Hatfield McCoy trails and found this beautiful cabin tucked away in the hills of Gilbert! Fantastic location! The folks around town are friendly and welcome riders from far and wide. We had a great trip and will definitely be back!!
We came to Gilbert to ride the Hatfield McCoy trails. This cabin was cozy and private. The cabin was close to Gilbert for the convenience of groceries, gas and restaurants and also trail heads to the trails. We did not use the hot tub and the tv wasn’t working but the available WiFi was sufficient to keep us occupied in the evening. Would definitely stay again.
This is a very comfortable home, nicely stocked and close to the trails. It has a Very steep drive as advertised. We didn't spend as much time in the house as we wanted to and hope to come back again to enjoy the hot tub.
Very nice cabin!!!
It is located in a perfect setting in the mountains. The cabin is very well maintained and has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. It’s close enough to town if you need supplies and close to the trails. The hot tube is the perfect way to end the day after a long cold day on the trails. We are already planning another trip in the spring!!!!! Can’t wait!!!!
This was our second time staying here in this adorable lil cottage in Gilbert WVA. We enjoy trail riding with friends and we are thrilled to have found this place. It is clean and very comfortable.Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals we brought. Having a washer and dryer was prefect - I mean who wants to take home dirty clothes!! Great cozy "home away from home"!
The driveway to the property is a bit intimidating. We had a huge trailer in tow so that was the only minor issue. But the place is amazing. It was so clean and well kept. The hot tub is AWESOME and we used it every night. The internet is reliable for those that do a working vacation. Overall the whole family was pleasantly surprised. Even our Basset Hound enjoyed it!
What an amazing stay at this secluded cabin surrounded by nature and adventure! Clean, comfortable and relaxing after a long day of riding the trails. Hot tub was over the top! Thank you to the hosts for providing this escape from the daily hustle. We loved it so much we asked to stay an extra night. I do have to mention the driveway is best for 4 wheel drive and be careful if you are towing a giant trailer. This place is a must stay, we hope to be back next year!
We had such an amazing time staying in the Gilbert ATV resort. I spoke with the host and they couldn’t be kinder, all amenities were there, and we did not realize we needed to bring so little.. It truly was like a home away from home and can’t wait to go back. Place was simply spotless and everything we needed . I would highly recommend this rental for anybody that is simply looking for a getaway and needs easy access to the trail system.. You will not be disappointed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the house has everything you could need. The hot tub was an added bonus for a relaxing evening after a long day on the trails. The privacy was awesome as the house sits all by itself at the top of a long drive. Trail access was easy to the rockhouse trail system, 5min ride down the road. There is also some outlaw trails that are accessible right behind the house. I would definitely recommend 4wd if your pulling a bigger trailer up the driveway, if was pretty steep but manageable. We would stay here again for sure!
We enjoyed our stay. Great amenities and it was close to the trails. The cabin is beautiful. The hot tub was wonderful but it had too much chlorine so we only used it once. They had it decorated for Christmas and that added more charm. Getting up to the cabin was a little challenging but all in all we would stay again. Loved the stay.
This was a small beautiful little cabin. Everything looks relatively new. The driveway up to the cabin leaves a little to be desired with a trailer, but for your side by sides and ATVs, it’s easy getting in and out. Overall very clean! New everything, nice hot tub! Pellet stove will warm the whole cabin. Overall great place. One bathroom gets a little tight depending on how many guests there are, and the fact that it’s right off the kitchen leaves a little to be desired. But other than that, couldn’t ask for a better place. Will be back again.
This is a dream location setting with everything anyone could ask for. The hosts of this property are completely amazing and super easy to work with. I would recommend this property to anyone who enjoys a private lifestyle with a love for nature. This is a must rent property! Be careful though, you may want to stay extra days!
We had such a great stay! The cabin was sooo clean and had this new wood smell we loved. The hot tub was super nice and very large. Both Matthew and Clarissa were so responsive and fast with an answer to anything we needed help with, even questions just about the area. The beds were super comfy and seriously again the house was just so clean. I have had many bad experiences with stays so I’m super nervous when booking. But you have nothing to worry about with this cabin. Everything listed is exactly how it is. Perfect location close to the trails. Clean, cozy, and a perfect home away from home. Will definatly be back!
