The house had a homey feel, and we really enjoyed the lakefront property. The highlights for us were the screen porch and the fishing (kids caught bass and crappie every day). The kitchen is small but was still sufficient for our family; however, the stovetop burners didn’t heat very well and the pots/pans were subpar. Overall, we had a good trip and enjoyed our stay; the only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars is because it wasn’t as clean as we expected (dog hair and dust on the wood floors).
We had a pleasant stay in the home. Beautiful area with lots of trees and many birds. The home had many helpful amenities, reading on the porch was perfect. We ventured out in the area to the lovely town and surrounding lakes. Great location. Cindy was very helpful and shared activities going on while we were there. Thank you for a great time in the area!
The stay was great. We enjoyed the screeed in porch and fenced yard for our dogs. Working with Cindy was great very helpful and I enjoyed our visit. I highly recommend this home.
4 of us enjoyed exploring the small towns in the area and hanging out on the screened porch. The cabin was just the right size. Everything was clean and well stocked, beds comfortable. Cindy was very responsive, kept us updated. We really appreciated the notes about local restaurants!
Relaxing on the huge screened in porch while watching the abundant wildlife of the lake was just what I needed. The home was clean and the host was easily contacted when questions came up. The fenced in front yard made it so easy to let our dogs in and out as needed. Thank you!
A beautiful view of the lake from the large screened in deck. Very close to all services. It is well maintained and well stocked. It has a fenced in front yard that our dog loved. The house is equipped with Wi-Fi and all amenities. We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this is one of our favorites!
The screened in porch was everything! We really enjoyed getting out there, hanging out, and playing board games. There's a really lovely sunset across the pond through the trees. We honestly loved the VHS tapes and if we watched something, that's what we were watching - quite nostalgic for us! The shower is a tight squeeze but did have strong pressure. Overall, we had a nice weekend getaway here. Thanks!
This place provided everything we were looking for. We ventured out for some shopping and other fishing a couple times, but most of our stay was spent on the large screened in peaceful porch and fishing from the paddle boat on a quiet lake. All the kids had fun catching bluegill, bass, crappie, and my husband landed a 12 pound catfish. Cindy was great checking up on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our dogs appreciated the freedom of the fenced yard and being lazy on the porch. It was a little tricky to make it into the water with our kayak and the paddle boat, so just bring shoes that can get wet and muddy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals and Walmart was a short drive to get groceries. We would definitely come back to visit!
Very nice home host was very kind as we lost track of our departure time she allowed us some time to get organized and leave. Very understanding. Large patio was very nice and cozy. Kitchen was supplied with a few extra items sometimes we may forget to bring. There is a grill outdoors for your convenience. Very quite surroundings with nature all around. Cozy comfortable place to enjoy outdoors. Close to stores and shopping. Thank you Cindy for being so understanding.
We enjoyed our time staying near Warsaw and the dogs enjoyed joining us for this one. Getting kayaks in and out of the water was a little tricky in the mud but my husband said the fishing was really good. Shower was a little tricky and tight but the screened in porch and well-stocked kitchen were great features. Only 1 smaller TV in the living room, which was fine for us, but got grumbles from the gamer son. It did have a VCR, DVD player, and Roku streaming services. Thanks for sharing your lake home.
This is a great location for a relaxing week. My sister and I met there "in the middle" from opposite sides of the country to spend the week together and had a wonderful time. The screened back porch was our favorite spot for talking, reading and watching the birds and wildlife frequenting the lake. Walking the loop road was a daily activity. The nearby River Park also has nice hiking trails. My sister brought her dog and with the screened back porch and fenced front yard, it was a perfect setting. We frequented most of the local dining options and were never disappointed. We took a scenic drive to Camden and toured the Ha Ha Tonka castle ruins and Bridal Cave which was fun. We also took a short drive to Osceola to visit the Osceola Cheese Shop (wonderful) and the Amish Store (just ok). All in all, the house was a great home base and we would definitely recommend it to other travelers.
We had an excellent time staying here. The screened in backporch is so relaxing. There is all the amenities you need and a perfect location. We felt like we were at home! The owner was easy to get in touch with and quickly responsive. We will definently be back!! Thank you Cindy you are a wonderful host!!
We found everything we needed provided for us and everything worked. Comfortable furniture and beautiful screened in patio with very comfortable chairs. Had a great time and will return.
We stayed over Labor Day weekend for the drag boat races. Loved the location! Host was wonderful and very responsive. The screened in porch was delightful and a great place to start and end the day. Would definitely recommend this location.
