The house was absolutely beautiful. Kimberly was amazing, and all the other guests staying were great and didn't get in my way. Would definitely stay again!
Much better staying in a vintage, historic beautiful home than some hotel that is like every other hotel. Wonderful culture experience.
Thanks!!!!

Our room was lovely, carefully decorated to match the charm of an older Maine home. Kimberly’s communication was excellent and her handyman was there in minutes when we needed something.
After the reservation was confirmed, the host canceled on us just three days before the trip — then refused to refund us until VRBO customer service stepped in. Avoid this property!

Beautiful historic home - but carefully read the description - no ac, shared bathroom, no microwave or mini fridge, extra soft mattress, and added $70 charge for a spouse.
My friend and I were very excited to stay here. The location is great, the house looks beautiful, and I was provided recommendations on what to check out on our way to South Portland. However, there was an issue (not on the guest side) that caused our reservation to be canceled. I was not informed of this until I was trying to get into the property and couldn't...at 10:30PM. I quickly found myself without a place to stay. After much searching we had to stay in a damp motel undergoing construction. Better communication would've been much appreciated.

Horrible
The place was nice enough. But when you pay to stay in a VRBO , you do not, while laying in bed at night, expect the door to the street to open just outside your bedroom door and hear somebody walking in. (Especially when part of the advertisement says “you will have the whole place to yourself”.) Upon opening our door somebody had put a bag outside the bathroom door and had been in there and then had marched upstairs to where there were additional rooms to prepare another room for a late check-in. Absolutely inexcusable behavior. when we shut the door to Vrbo we expect we are secure and certainly don’t expect somebody to just let themselves in and wander about. in this case, it was the OWNER of the property! One would think a courtesy call asking if it’s OK for her to come over and go upstairs and prepare some thing would be appropriate. Nope ,she just let herself in and went about her business with no regard to our privacy. Do not do business with this property or this owner.
Ridiculous. I asked for a refund and it was refused because we stayed the night. What were we supposed to do go to sleep in the car? A horrible woman.
