I've been living on this little stretch of the Gulf Coast for four years. It is the best kept secret of the entire area. I love to share it with travelers who otherwise might not have discovered it!
Why they chose this property
The house and surrounding property is my oasis, after a life time spent living in big cities. The deck in the little pine forest is a place of green quietude, and birds, frogs, squirrels, tortoises, all live in the garden. When the bamboo hedges reach their full 15ft height, the property will be surrounded by walls of more green. All this on a stretch of the MS Gulf Coast that remains relatively undeveloped, with beautiful natural attractions - deserted beaches, pine forests, picturesque waterways for kayaking or fishing, trails for biking and walking, and loads of history. All this within driving distance of one of the most spectacular cities on the planet - New Orleans! We truly have the best of both worlds here.
