South Chatham Cottage at the end of quiet street. Walk 1/2 mile to Pleasant Street Beach-Nantucket Sound. Quick access to Cape Cod rail trail and bike to Chatham Center and Harwich Center. House has all amenities including fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, 2 TVs, Internet TV, and free wireless internet. Enjoy sunroom and deck. Good sized yard for kids to play. Recently remodeled the bathroom and updated living room - including new furniture, new rug, new curtains, and refinished hardwood floors.

A fishing getaway

Booked a week in this house to do some serious fishing ahead of the June new moon. If you're in to fishing, this is a great spot with access to some good south and east side beaches. It''s also close enough to the CC bay that you drive across to fish that body of water as well. The house was perfect for me.

Wonderful and clean home. Excellent hosts.

I rented this home to attend a family wedding in Chatham. I stayed in the home with my spouse and my two adult children so the three bedroom cottage was perfect for our family. We found a home to be welcoming, quaint, clean, and the hosts were very communicative and kept me updated and answered all of my questions. Having only one bathroom, does make this home less appealing to a larger family. In my opinion however, there is an outdoor shower. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to utilize the outdoor shower and we manage just fine for the weekend. I would recommend renting this home to anyone who is visiting the area for a weekend or even a week or two. Our stay was very pleasant because of this property. I read a previous review where someone recommended that perhaps the cottage could use new mattresses and I would agree with that but the home was comfortable and well stocked with anything we might have forgotten.

Nice cottage, good location, nice close local beaches

Forgot to bring towels, but Ben Franklin store had some. Nice kitchen, fully stocked with all we needed. Nice deck to sit on, enjoyed sunsets there. Comfortable place to stay. Bought tub mat for safety in showering, took home.

This was one of the best houses we have rented! Location was perfect and the house was extremely clean and very comfortable. Loved the sun room and deck. Very nice yard and neighborhood.

Family weekend getaway

What a special property! We loved the location of the house- we walked our two year old daughter through all of the neighborhoods along the water. My in laws visited during the day, it’s the perfect “hang out” house. One complaint- there were some stains on the comforter in the queen bedroom, but everything else was so clean. Would definitely go back!!!!

Sad Occassion

We were in Chatham for a family .funeral. My husband and I and our adult children and their spouses stayed at the cottage. The place fit our needs perfectly. It was quiet, clean and located in a beautiful neighborhood. In between the ceremony and family gatherings, my family was able to unwind and walk to the nearby beach. It was very peaceful and just what we needed.

Lovely cottage in a great location

The Crean’s home is a sweet beach cottage a short distance to fantastic beaches. With comfortable furniture and mattresses, our group slept well. Two kids under 10 enjoyed the attic room with good AC unit. The ground floor rooms stayed cool with fans at night. We loved the outdoor shower and back deck. Kitchen is well equipped but a little tight. No dishwasher. Overall, a great stay.

Cute cottage, cute neighborhood

Cute cottage, perfect for our family of 4. Two bedrooms downstairs. A loft upstairs with another two beds. One bathroom. Parking in a gravel area to right of house. Firesticks on both TVs. WiFI good. You will need to bring your own linens for this stay, but that is pretty standard on the cape. Good communication with the owners via the app.

Great trip

We enjoyed the house! It is not fancy, but very comfortable and clean. The yard and deck are roomy enough for company. The grill worked well. The kitchen has plenty of dishes etc (we ate most dinners and breakfast at the house..) I would suggest that a good oven mitt be taken, as the oven mitt provided is very thin and caused a few issues. The second floor bedroom worked well for extra privacy for a yound adult.

Side trip to Chatham

Perfect Home away From Home

Will stay at this place again if the opportunity arises. My sister and my daughter and I stayed 4 nights and used as home base for exploring the rest of the cape and Nantucket. Chatham itself seems very nice and next time will explore the neighbor a little more. Wild Turkeys came to cost. The only thing is just to know that the breaker box is in the basement with the washer and dryer. Don’t run a hair dryer and vacuum at the same time!

Perfect little getaway

Two woman who had to cancel their trip to Myrtle Beach due to Covid but still wanted to getaway. Renting this house was perfect and just what we needed. Cute house/cottage, although dated, it is very clean, well kept and maintained. It had just what we needed to relax inside or outside and enjoy cooking meals at home (would recommend the addition of a salt & pepper shaker, a basic kitchen staple). The only thing not provided is bedding and towels. This is not a show stopper, just an inconvenience. When packing for vacation and then to go home it just adds to what already seems like a lot of stuff to bring. And making beds when you arrive takes away from that initial vacation aaaahhhh moment. (Not a big deal for two grown woman doing their own, wouldn't want to do it for a family.) Nice little beach down the street, w/in walking distance, and a safe, quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay and the comfort of this home away from home.

Terrific location! Quiet neighborhood and close to great beaches.

We had a great stay! Awesome location. Room for teens to spread out. Comfortable living room to relax in. My husband and I enjoyed our coffee every morning on the breezy screened in porch.

Lovely home, great location.

We’ve vacationed at the same home in Truro for the past 25 years. This year that wasn’t possible so we decided, with some trepidation, to try another home in another part of the Cape. Our fears were quickly assuaged when we arrived on Melody Lane. The house, on a quiet (for the most part) side street was spotlessly clean, with all the amenities one could ask for, and very close to the beach. Beds were comfortable and the internet was top notch (some of us had a working vacation). I highly recommend this property! The owners were super responsive as well! Only downside.... there always has to be one. The house directly behind could be rather loud, especially in the mid morning when someone was working from home on a speaker phone. Not a big deal, but want to tell the whole story. But seriously, do not hesitate to rent this house! We loved it!
