Great spot for a friends' getaway! The house is spacious with a bright, big living room perfect for gatherings. The location is stunning, nestled in a beautiful area with a hiking trail right in the backyard. Plus, there are interesting places to visit nearby like Historic Deerfield and Shelburne Falls. The only downside was some machinery noise from the first floor, especially at night. Overall, a lovely stay!
We were all very rested and relaxed. We enjoyed the beautiful spaces to sit and enjoy each other’s company. The chalet, flowers and setting
made a terrific base to come and go from as we celebrated a family wedding.
Perfect spot for a girls get away. We came to the area to see a show at the Treehouse in Deerfield and would return just to stay at the house again. Hannah was amazing and communicative and her dog Tilly was just an absolute peach!
We loved this house . Beautiful, clean, well-stocked, lots of original art and house plants, great energy, very comfortable beds, close to some sweet hikes and waterways. We would love to stay here again!
What a lovely setting to share with my family. Quiet, charming, clean, and comfortable with a fantastic host (whom I never officially me), but who was there at a moments notice. Thank you Hannah for a lovely stay. Will come back again someday.
We had a lovely stay and Hannah was a wonderful host. The house is picturesque and we watched snow fall every morning through the living room windows. My daughter played out in the snow and loved seeing the goats in the barn. It was a quick drive to Berkshires East for a ski weekend. Would stay again!
Hannah’s home is incredibly warm and welcoming. The natural light and beautiful plants enhance the beauty. The wraparound deck is a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee with the birds or observe the multitude of stars in the evening. The beds are cozy and comfortable! We had the extra bonus on seeing newborn goats during our visit - they were very cute! Hannah was a great communicator and willing to help in any way. I highly recommend this location.

Did not meet expectations
First of all we didn’t have heat or hot water until noon on our second day there.
The owner didn’t get back to us until several hours after reaching out.
Which is why I had to reach out to VRBO.
No one could shower.
Thank god there was a fireplace so we were able to keep warm until it was fixed, which was done so by us.
Second, I specifically contacted the owner regarding internet and if the WiFi was good so we could bring a fire stick to watch football for the day on Sunday. The owner responded yes, internet is good, but neglected to inform me that they did not have a television.
Also, there were many dirty dishes, pots and pans.
Very disappointed with our stay.
Despite the great reviews, I was still surprised with how fantastic this home was. Everyone in the family commented on how nice everything was. The home and the location were both beautiful. Everything was meticulously prepared and extremely well-appointed. Instructions and information were clear and abundant. We were very comfortable (I didn't try all the beds, but the one I slept in was wonderful!) We were about 30 minutes from everything we needed to access. Thanks for a lovely time!
We had a wedding within 20 minutes from this property and decided to do a VRBO for my wife, two children and their spouses versus the hotel thing. This home was exactly what we were looking for to relax, cook, grille and sit around an outdoor fire for laughter and fun. The home had a master bed with bath up along with a loft area with another bed, which which was not needed. The main level had 2 bedrooms and both were basically identical with a full bath in the main hallway. We took advantage of the wood stove in the main living area and that kept things warm throughout our stay. It was a cool weekend in November so we did not sit out on the exterior upper deck that overlooks natures offerings, but this would be a nice setting in warmer weather. We did sit around the outdoor firepit, which was a metal/steel unit versus a man made rock or block wall type. The kitchen was adequate for our purposes considering a quick 2 night visit. This property is certainly not going to meet many folks standards who are looking to be somewhat pampered and used to more finer, polished settings/surroundings. We do travel often as a family and would want and expect more upgrades in many setting too. But this was perfect for our family considering the location and lack of alternatives in the area. The area has little to no cell phone reception and that was a hinderance at times, but the WIFI worked well. Hannah, the owner, was very responsive prior and during our visit.
Beautiful ! A great place for couples or family to get together.

Why they chose this property
This property is quiet and rural making it the perfect getaway for couples and families. The area is filled with wonderful day trips, places to swim, local food and farms. Ashfield is a thriving small town with larger towns within 15-30 minutes.
What makes this property unique
Every inch of this home has been curated by the host with quality artwork, furnishings and house plants. The space is calming, relaxing and large enough for families. There is a farm store with eggs, ghee, maple syrup, honey, artwork and herbal products. If you come during the summer our neighbor next door has a farm stand loaded with fresh veggies. We love this home so much and hope you will, too!
