About this property

Perfect home for family vacay. Includes a pool, fireplace, outdoor fire pit. 20 min from Disney and major attractions. Located on a quiet cul de sac private property with parking available. Large master bedroom with huge tub large enough for the whole family to soak in. Large driveway big enough to fit 2 cars or large truck and trailer.

Homeowners are couple who live on site in garage studio unit with private entrance and no access to main house which is completely reserved by guests. You may never see us due to work and travel but we are always available by phone or email.

2024 Spring games

Weather was great. House was very centrally located for our needs. Pool was nice but not heated so couldn’t swim as much as we would have liked with the temps being in the 80’s. Comfortable sleeping, new appliances and laundry. Property manager Melissa was great.

Wonderful

Had a great time at this home. Two issues first day and they were taken care the very same day. Very clean and comfortable. Pool was a bit cold my my grandkids had a fun time.It was a quite neighborhood on a dead end road the back yard was fenced in so I didn’t have to worry about my small dog that we had with us.

Not how it shows

Two days before we arrive, we are told of some of the issues, like the tarp on the roof, the broken down car in the driveway. We read the reviews of course and in many it says the owner said she was fixing things. So of course we thought by the time our trip was, it should be fixed. Looks nice until you actually start using the things. Everything was broken. Beds were horrible with lumps and angles. Couldn't sit down at the dining table to have dinner or it would have collapsed. Couch had a tear, ottoman by window looks nice but is also broken. Back yard was FILLED with dog poop. Couldn't enjoy outside without getting dripped on from the crappy roof and rain gutters. Every dish in the cupboard was disgusting/dirty. Tarps and trash all over the yard as well as drugies doing heroin on the side of the house. Insane!! Neighbors partied until 3am, cops came twice. It just was not a pleasant stay for Christmas. If you want to be in a nice area... don't choose this area. We never felt safe or clean. Owner was nice but would rather text than talk on the phone. Enjoyed Epcot Center and Universal.

Perfect home away from home with everything you need!!

Photos don't do this beautiful home justice!! The home is very spacious & has a huge fully fenced yard for the dogs! I brought anything we might need & 1/2 of it stayed packed away because the home had everything you could need/want! The cleanliness of the home was spectacular! The host is very accommodating & quick to respond. The location of this home is perfect too! Less than 30 minutes to the major parks and pretty much any store you may want/need to go to is only minutes away. We will definitely be back whenever we go to the area. Also, I wanted to address some concerns I saw from prior reviews... The fence has been fully repaired as well as the lanai screening around the pool, there are dress hangers in the main bedroom as well as the guest bedroom which doesn't have a closet. We couldn't have been happier that we chose this home. It truly felt like a home away from home ❤️

Nice quiet clean place to stay.

Overall excellent. In pictures looks like a hot tub but it isnt a hot tub. Pool was nice, deep area as well. Kids loved the pool. Very quiet area to stay at. Master bed needs the head raised a little to be level but still slept really well. Only 30 min away from all disney parks so that was good as well. If the hot tub was an actual hot tub it would have been a perfect stay. Overall 95 out of 100 due to not being a hot tub.

Nice place

Mel’s Place is a nice roomy place to stay with a pool in Kissimmee. There are a few things that I feel needs to be addressed and the owner advised me she will be taking care of those items. We enjoyed our stay !!

Perfect Location

My daughter and I stayed at Mel’s to celebrate her 25th birthday. It was the perfect place as it was only minutes away from everything we planned. It is definitely the perfect home away from home. We will definitely stay there again.

Convention at Silver Spurs Arena

This house is exactly as advertised. It was clean and just what we needed for our stay in Kissimmee, FL. It was only 5 to 7 minutes to Silver Spurs Arena. Melissa was a good host and communicated well. She is doing a good job at making her home a nice VRBO. I could see she has taken previous comments to heart and taken action to make improvements. You are to be commended. The thing is she charges a very, very reasonable rate, so people staying here should not come with the expectations of staying in a 5-star luxury resort. It is Melissa's nice clean comfortable home, and it is certainly worth the nightly rate she charges. I will stay here again when I have another convention to attend at the Silver Spurs Arena. Continue to put back in to your business and make improvements.

Great stay only things we didn’t like was the jacuzzi is not really a jacuzzi and they really need to fix the fence, besides that the pool was awesome the master bedroom was super spacious. Great times

Orlando Getaway

The house had a close location to all things we wanted to do in Orlando and was only about an hour drive to two beaches. Quiet place. Owner was quick to answer questions.

Lovely house in terms of size and aspect. Not too far from Disney in a nice quiet neighbourhood. There were no cupboards or hanging areas for clothes. The fence on both sides was dilapidated and not secure - which in the event did not matter. The house was ‘tired’ but obviously had been fantastic in the past. They need to put some of the rent money into restoration The pool was fantastic - and overall it was a great place to stay - thanks

Mel's resort is a lovely house with a fantastic gated and large yard for the dogs!

LOVED Mel's resort big /gated yard for my pups and the huge bird cage around the pool :) however a couple things took points away from a perfect stay - upon arriving and trying to figure out how to open the lock door for the first time, I noticed the US Flag in a crumpled heap by the bushes and in the backyard, there was a plastic bag filled with stuff by the screened door, not sure what was in it, also upon entering the house for the first time, there was a big dead bug on the dining room floor and on the master bedroom floor. Well, I thought ok at least they are dead and remembered that it is Florida. Mel's resort is very conveniently located to where my work conference was hosted at the Gaylord Palms and the drive there was easy. Thank you!
