This home is a vacation dream! There is so much to enjoy and do on this property. The luxurious rustic interior will make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. It has a spacious open floor plan with lots of natural light. There are beautiful views from the living rooms and kitchen. The 120 year old reclaimed wood floors give this home so much character and charm. The large gourmet kitchen is a chefs dream and gives plenty of room for large groups. Wake up and enjoy your coffee from the living room overlooking the valley. Or sip it on the back deck with the warmth of a fire, while breathing in the crisp morning air. The outdoor living space at this property is a dream! The tranquility here is very special. You will feel at peace while soaking up the beauty of nature. Outside there are multiple patios, a large deck and a covered patio with a wolf bbq, 2 refrigerators and lots of counter space. Walking around the patio and into the redwood grove you will see a wood fire pit with lots of seating and outdoor string lights so you can stay up late roasting marshmallows and telling stories. Passed the grove is the full basketball / volleyball court with lights so you can play ball after the sun goes down. Have a corn hole tournament with our two corn hole sets. Play a game of bocce on our large bocce ball court sitting down the hill with expansive views. Certain times of year you will see elk grazing at the farm across the way. Other than needing food and beverages…you won’t need to leave the property. From the inside to the outside this home is a slice of heaven.

Absolutely amazing!!

We really couldn’t have asked for a better place! The view is perfect, the beds are comfy, kitchen is huge, cozy fire pits and seating areas. I could go on and on.. we highly recommend this place!

Redwood Retreat

This is an amazing place to stay if you love combining the outdoors and indoor living spaces. The home was beautiful and laid out with many different places to just to be or enjoy games, (sport court was very nice), relax and just lounge with multiple places to enjoy a fire. My family and I loved it all. Great location to beaches and Redwood National Park. I highly recommend it.

Excellent Property

Beautiful home in blue lake. Perfect property for gradeschool age cousins to explore and play. Tree swing was the highlight of their trip!

Best spot for a get together

This place is even bigger and better than the pictures make it seem! It was fantastic spot for hosting a small gathering of family and friends. We had 6 people staying in the house but 14 came over for some fun, food, and games. There is plenty to do for all ages. The host was also very generous in accommodating our early check in request.

Amazing Stay Experaince

We are so grateful to the property owners for letting us stay and use their home. It was easy to access and a great space for a larger group to gather and enjoy. The only thing I could not find was a pen during our stay. The property has everything you may need and lots of fun experiences to enjoy. The hot tub in the light rain was a highlight for us. Our group also enjoyed the many space and walking the property to the swing. Thank you for having us in your lovely home! I highly recommend this house.

Perfect home for family gathering

We rented this home so that our family could all travel to Mckinleyville where my in-laws live and have a space to celebrate Thanksgiving all together. This home was amazing and even better than I expected. We were able to prepare a wonderful meal and have a sit down dinner for 22 people. The home has so many different areas to hang out that we were never crowded and there was always something fun to do for everyone in our group. There was a huge tv in the family room...we were able to watch all the football games and had comfy couches to sit on. We had a UCLA student doing homework in the other living room as well as a couple of people that had to complete some work over the holiday and everyone had their space. The wifi worked great for everyone. The cell service was not great though (ATT & Verizon) but texting was fine for our needs. There is an amazing sport court with lights that the kids all played basketball and volleyball on every day. Everyone enjoyed the large swing (grownups too!) and we had a corn hole and bocce ball tournament with every family member from age 10 to 85. The house is one level and great for the older folks. My favorite spot was the outdoor couches and fire table. We sat out there with a blanket in the evening and had great fireside chats...the view is incredible and it was very relaxing. There is also a dedicated campfire space stocked with firewood; we had smores. The home was very well appointed and had everything we needed and more. There were ample spices, and other food items that definitely came in handy (flour!) as well as a few drink selections. The master bath had hair tools, shampoo etc. The home was stocked and I appreciated all the thoughtful things left for us to enjoy. We didn't use the bbq but the outdoor kitchen was amazing...we did utilize the 2 extra refrigerators out there to keep our drinks cold. There is only room for 10 people to sleep in the house but that worked great for our needs. Everyone else just came over late morning, we hung out all together and they went back to their rented smaller places after dinner. The one thing I would suggest is to put a curtain in the window in the main bathroom that is right outside the shower :). I can go on even further but thank you so much for renting this home out, our family made lasting memories and we are already trying to figure out when we can all get down there again. This is the best VRBO I've ever rented.
