Rocky Top - Dog Friendly Cute and Cozy Log Cabin!

Rocky Top(A dog friendly(1 dog limit) legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law) is a charming modern log cabin located in the Edelweiss area of Mazama, adjacent to the National Forest. Cute and cozy with one bedroom with Queen bed, fully-equipped kitchen and one bathroom. There is a gas fireplace and electric heat for those chillier days in the Methow.

Mountain bike straight from the cabin and enjoy the Rendezvous trails up behind Edelweiss, or the many trails along the Valley floor, just minutes away. Groomed MVSTA cross-country ski trail access is just a short drive away in winter.

Enjoy the shopping, arts, and dining of Winthrop, just a 15 minute drive from the cabin. Rocky Top is perfectly situated in the upper Methow Valley for maximum access to all it has to offer you while on vacation.

Rocky Top can provide lodging accommodations for up to 4 guests.

Please note in Winter the driveway can be icy so a 4-wheel drive car or chains are recommended. It is also possible to park at the base of the driveway and walk up.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION:
1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Steven's Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia river to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, it is the YOUR responsibility to make alternate plans for travel. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken and add additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter and mountain passes can be closed anytime of the year because of wildfires, rockslides or other occurrences. Directions over all the routes will be sent to. you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check pass reports(and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave.

2)Trail Access/Closure Information:
If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur anytime because of fire, rockslides, mud flows...and we have no control over this. There are many hiking, biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. If access to the North Cascades is closed via Hwy 20 because of any reason, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. There beautiful hikes in and around our valley that we would be happy to recommend.

INTERNET POLICY..PLEASE NOTE:
**We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.

Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding!

IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION :
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA

**Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues or the propane fireplace upon your arrival please send a message through VRBO. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given.

Cozy, well equipped cabin

My husband and I wanted a cross -country skiing weekend. This place was so nice for accessing Mazama and Winthrop trails. All the necessary kitchen needs were supplied in the cabin. Lots of board games and puzzles, etc. Heated floor in the bathroom. Very comfortable overall. Glad we had 4 wheel drive!

Cozy, comfortable and private.

We had a wonderful reunion with our daughters at this adorable cottage. The patio and garden are inviting and comfortable. Best of all, the beds were amazing! The Mazama store was one of our favorite hangouts, especially for the Beer and Bratz nights.

A lovely stay

The cabin was very clean and the grounds lovely. We felt very safe and secure there. We loved watching the antics of the resident chipmunk. The cabin was fully stocked and we were in want of nothing. We spent our days reading, taking drives and visiting the wonderful Mazama Store for bakery good. All in all, a great trip.

Awesome Awesome Awesome

Rocky Top is one of the best VRBOs in which we've ever stayed! It seemed more spacious than the square footage would suggest because of high ceilings and a brilliant floor plan. We loved the soaker tub and warm little stove. The hosts keep it super clean and filled with inviting details. The location is also great for accessing several local trails. We can't wait to return!

Peaceful, Easy Feelin'

When I envisioned what a log cabin in the woods should look like, a picture of Rocky Top was in my mind. Very well conceived, built, located and very, very clean. If fate allows, we will be back.

Awesome, Cute, Quiet Retreat

This cabin is small but perfect for a couple. It is designed with both functionality and aesthetics. Our dog loved exploring around in the fenced yard and befriended the resident chipmunk. There are many comfortable places to relax inside and out. We will go back again.

Great views from every porch

A great little cabin; it felt like it could be a friend’s house or your birding aunt. Everything well-designed and the guests needs had been thought through at every turn. Minimal kitchen staples (not a sugar packet or honey jar to be found, so coffee/tea drinkers take note) but it truly served our needs well. Well cared for garden with native plants and fenced yard for dogs (and toddlers!). Great stay.
