Beautiful View and Good Fishing

The property was wonderful. We were extremely offended that the owner came to the house unannounced twice once with someone giving her an estimate for something. The kitchen faucet was extremely loose and the supply lines in the kitchen were switched hot was cold and cold was hot. That is a simple task that my wife could complete within 5 minutes. The sliding doors needs graphite. That is another simple task. There is a true ANT infestation in the kitchen area. My wife spent hours battling the tiny grease ants from the kitchen. Cathy had put several aunt traps in the kitchen. They were aunt traps that attract ants. They were recommended by the same neighbor that she had watching us. Yes, watching her renters, those were her words. Not mine. We turned away the contractors that came to secure the siding. Overall we enjoyed our anniversary getaway. Thank you!

Great Location for a Relaxing Getaway

We arrived to an impeccably clean cottage. The sunsets were incredible. The location was near the boat launch, which helped navigate to/from the dock with the boat. The hosts were responsive and helpful. Recommend this property, two nights were not enough!

Great experience!

We were there for only a couple of days as we were attending a family event nearby. We wished we had tacked on a couple more days to enjoy this home and the lake! Very clean, very well managed. Would stay there again!

Beautiful sunsets

The lake view is wondeful. There are swans and ducks on the lake that swim by at sunset making that time of evening particularly lovely. The kitchen, dining and living room are open concept and open onto the back deck, which makes the space feel roomy.

Perfect Lake Getaway

Excellent hosts, clear and timely communication (but not overbearing). Cottage is beautiful inside and out, boat dock in good condition and easy to tie up. Already planning on a return trip!

Great stay!

The cabin was very clean and perfectly furnished and stocked. The color makes it very easy to spot from the water which is a benefit both for those who know the chain of lakes and those who are unfamiliar. The owner checked in on us by text to be sure we were all set, which was awesome, but we needed nothing and had no issues. I would not hesitate to book this again. Thank you!

Great cottage on quiet lake

Beautiful, clean cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lakefront area is relaxing and great lake for kayaking and watching boaters go by.

Cozy cottage with a beautiful lake view.

I would highly recommend this property. It was clean and very well stocked. The sunsets over the lake were gorgeous. Host very responsive and checkin/out we’re both very easy.

Great cabin for a little get away

Beyond Amazing

Beautiful lake front property with spectacular views! My daughter and I stayed here for four days. The owner was super helpful and responsive, the cottage was clean and the views of the lake incredible. We kayaked and enjoyed a glorious sunset. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with us.

The Red Cottage: A Michigan Paradise Retreat

We were so lucky to find this place. My wife and I were looking for a quiet, cozy place with great amenities on a lake. We wanted to relax and enjoy some kayaking, fishing and amazing sunsets. The Red Cottage was it! The lake and town were great and the hosts were very attentive. They did a great job of making sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful visit.

Ready to return to the Red Cottage!

This was our first visit to the north chain of lakes in Coldwater, MI and "The Red Cottage" was a great introduction! The house was charming, very clean, well appointed with everything we needed and provided stunning views of the sunset each night. If you are looking for a comfortable place to relax at a reasonable price the Red Cottage fits the bill!
