The BeeHive Bungalow is a funky, comfy, cozy mid-modern cabin overlooking Shadow Mountain Lake! This home is perfect for tech savvy folks looking to enjoy Smart Living and sleek modern amenities to the fullest with the Rocky Mountains as a gorgeous back drop. This home is built for taking in every bit of Colorful Colorado! Be sure to take full advantage of the many outdoor seating areas on the deck from the sofa, to the umbrella covered table, or shaded corner chair perfect for enjoying your favorite book on a sunny Grand Lake afternoon. At night, when the stars come out, be sure to look for the milky way while sparking up a fire in the fire pit. This home offers 2 private bedrooms both appointed with queen beds. The completely updated bathroom offers a tub/shower combo with a sky light allowing ample natural sun to shine in. Cook up all of your best recipes in this modern kitchen with all new appliances while enjoying the view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The BeeHive also features a unique pellet stove in the living room that is sure to keep you cozy on a snowy winter's night. Don't forget to the bring the fur babies, up to two are welcome!

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made prior to 30 days of your arrival date for stays of 6 nights or less will incur a $50 cancellation fee and forfeit the non-refundable booking fee. Cancellations of reservations of 7 nights or more, prior to 30 days before your arrival date incur a $200 cancellation fee and forfeit the non-refundable booking fee. For cancellations within 30 days of arrival date the entire amount is non-refundable for all reservations.

Winter Arrival:
Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refunds related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

Property was great but management company was not very helpful

We loved the property. The location was great, very secluded with amazing views. Luckily it didn’t snow while we were there, otherwise it would have been tough to get to. Unfortunately, while we were there the internet was down, which ended up being a big inconvenience for us. Our baby monitors are tied to wifi and because the Beehive is so secluded, it was tough getting cell service. Our goal wasn’t to be in the cabin the whole time, no wifi meant it was very difficult to FaceTime family for NYE and took away my ability to work from the cabin on Tuesday morning (after New Year’s Day). I reached out to the property management group right away and after attempting to troubleshoot, still no wifi and very limited response from the management team. I understand it was New Years but to offer no support and really no help was very disheartening. Again, while we weren’t there to spend full time in the cabin, the lack of support put a bit of a damper on what was otherwise, a fun weekend.

Fabulous Shabby-Chic meets Mountain/Lake Views!

First time at the bungalow but hopefully not our last. We LOVED our stay! House had all the amenities- great dishes, plenty of extras and beautifully decorated! This house was renovated with love and good decorating skills. The deck is amazing with comfy seats and fluffy throws. Our dog loved the roominess of the fenced yard and we went on great walks in the neighborhood everyday. Just loved it all! Can’t wait to return.

Great little bungalow

This property is great for a couple or small family. The house is incredibly clean and inviting. The outdoor area has stunning views of shadow mountain and is a relaxing place to enjoy coffee. This is a wonderful rental property.

Excellent stay!

We had an outstanding stay at the BeeHive Bungalow! This was our first time visiting Grand Lake and we will be back sooner rather than later. The cabin was a few minutes outside of town which made it convenient, yet quiet. The check in and check out process was extremely simple and everyone we interacted with was friendly. The cabin itself is really well maintained and the owners have gone out of their way to provide all the comforts of being at home. There was plenty of inside and outside space, everything was clean and well maintained. We could tell that every room was thought out and very detailed. Everything that we needed or would have needed was provided. Things worked well, the beds and furniture were comfortable and there was plenty of space to relax. We will be booking again on our next visit and highly encourage anyone looking for a quiet, well kept getaway!

Good Stay...would be better with an AC

Pros: - Well stocked for cooking and cleaning - Great location with views of the lake - Great location for access to Grand Lake entrance of RMNP - Comfortable beds Cons: - Apple TV is first gen therefore, you cannot download any apps to it and are very limited on entertainment from that perspective - No AC - This most likely isn't an issue too many months out of the year however, in July it definitely was hot. Temps were in the mid 80s during the day and the cabin does not have AC therefore took a very long time to cool down at night. This made it tough for my kids to get to sleep due to the heat in the home. We also were unable to keep the windows open due to bears in the area (not the owner's fault by any means). Overall, the home makes for a good stay in the Grand Lake area.

Cozy Mountain Bungalow with a View

It is a warm cozy place with plenty of areas to kick back and relax comfortably. The only annoyance was the check-in procedure of the management company. They text you instructions on how to pick-up physical papers from their in-town office. Those papers just tell you the keypad code to get in the house. Very unnecessary. Just text or email the door code and other information.

The biggest fan was my nearly 10-month-old granddaughter Bea who had a great time crawling around and visiting with Auntie Sophie, who lives in Grand Lake. We had a wonderful time and since it rained a good portion of our long weekend, it was fun to look out the window at the lake and mountains and snuggle up in the cottage.

Nice house - lack of support/maintenance

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very well decorated with all the required supplies, the location is 8min from Grand Lake with other houses around, which makes it isolated but not too much.I would mark my stay with 5* if not by the non existent support,I had never been in a rental before where an issue during the stay was not addressed at all. When I rented this place I was looking for some specific features since it's in the middle of the winter and snowing, one of them was a pellet stove or fireplace, which it has. However it never worked during our stay of 3 nights, 4 days. I called in at 5PM of our check in day reporting the issue, I also sent an email. Outside of working hours they only have emergency support, which is fine. On the following day by 1PM I got no follow up yet (as is Sunday they probably don't work again). On that day I decided call the emergency number and explain the problem. Later that day I received a call from a very nice lady that all that she could do was a basic triage that I had already done through phone which didn't help. She informed that they would try find someone that day or in the day after. Monday (holiday) passes by and again nobody reached to me or passes by. On Tuesday we checked out and I never got any type of contact.That lack of support and care makes me truly believe that it's not a company which who I can trust to stay. There were a few other minor points that might worth to be aware but would not have impacted so much. For example, the cleaning is not the best, sheets, bed and bathroom were pretty clean, however there was spider nets all over the place, pellets in the floor and a LOT of pet hair (I'm a pet owner I'm used to it, but that amount was over a decent cleaning). None of the outdoor space is usable in the winter (which can be expectable). On winter you really need a 4WD. The hot water has no pressure and only showers are available. That said, the location is great and the house was really wel

The owner has literally thought of everything. The glass windows make the cabin feel very large with indoor and outdoor entertainment areas. The sunrise and sun set views are amazing from this cabin. The staff also went above and beyond to make my engagement weekend feel special and ensuring the home was set up perfectly. I highly recommend the Beehive

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were the first renters at the Beehive Bungalow, and had the absolute BEST time during our week long stay! The owners have thought of everything and have truly made their home so welcoming to their guests - it is so cozy, with comfortable beds, ample supplies for cooking, seating (inside and out) and even smores for roasting on the fire pit. The house offers an incredible view of Shadow Mountain and is only a short distance to town. Our dog had the best time relaxing on the porch and we didn't have to worry about him getting out with the fence. We will ABSOLUTELY be back! :)
