Striking Fairway Views, Luxury, Serenity - Bicycles Included!

This Fairways Villa is professionally decorated and has an elevated, unobstructed view of the golf course with spectacular sunsets. The home stands on a perfect angle to the trade winds, allowing you to use the front and back screen doors and windows for a wonderful, cool and natural cross breeze. There is also central air conditioning throughout.

The master bedroom is a peaceful retreat with a comfortable Cal King bed. It has its own spacious sitting area and a lanai overlooking the golf course. Sink into the luxurious lanai lounge chairs and enjoy a quiet drink away from it all. The second bedroom hosts two twin size beds and has its own en suite. Upon request, the twins can be converted to a King.

A large, beautiful “lagoon” pool is a 2 min walk away, with a shallow area for the children. There is also a hot tub and fitness room onsite.

Your stay will include a Pass Card to the private Mauna Lani Beach Club, a 3 min drive away. It is a sparkling white sand beach enclosed by coral reef and is very safe for children. It is lifeguarded so while the kids are having fun swimming and snorkeling, you may enjoy a cool drink at the restaurant overlooking the beach. It is stunning and picturesque.

Another beach is a 10 minute walk away at Fairmont Orchid hotel. Next to it is a turtle sanctuary - a delight for the children.

If your family enjoys boogie boarding or surfing - head over to Hapuna Beach - a 10 minute drive away. The waves here are perfect for boogie boarding. Boogie boards are included in the rental.

If you like to BBQ - your own private BBQ is located on the lower lanai. Put your feet up in the lounge chairs after dinner and soak in the spectacular sunset views and the gently swaying palm trees

World class tennis facilities and golf are located right in the Mauna Lani Resort and at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel. They have tennis clinics most days at 9 am. Enjoy.

Family Spring Break Trip

This home worked perfectly for our family spring break. We chose it as a cheaper option than the surrounding hotels for our family of 4. Was nice to have large space, fully equipped kitchen, with grocery store a couple blocks away. We could walk to hotel beaches or drive to Hapuna Beach in 10 minutes. Only 30 min from airport also. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent townhouse

The townhouse is perfect and the location can’t be beat. Morning coffee to the tune of the mowers on the fairway and the birds… not to mention the wind in the palm trees. Property manager was great. Beds are comfy.

Lovely stay with fantastic host!

The condo was beautiful, clean and fully stocked with everything we needed including a high chair, pack and play and beach toys for the kids. They even had sunblock in the garage and baby soap and shampoo in the baths. 2 minute drive to a Foodland market that had everything we needed to make most of our breakfasts and even a steak and poke dinner one night. Our host, Amma, called us the week before to make sure we had everything we needed and couldn't have been more gracious and generous. Great experience all around.

Impressive

The condo is beautiful and in a great location. The place was spotless. The kitchen was well stocked and the home was very comfortable. The lanais were spacious and I enjoyed listening to the birds while dining outdoors. The pool area is large and was never crowded. Contact and communication with the property manager was excellent. I will be returning in the spring & hope this property is available. I highly recommend this condo!

Just about perfect!

I've been travelling to Hawaii for over 30 years, always on the lookout for that perfect spot to stay, and now I've found it. The Puako adjacent location has perhaps the best weather in the state, being warm and dry more than almost anywhere else, and gets very little of the wind and rain that affect many other spots. The development is close to Foodland (5 minutes by bike), and also to the Beach Club, which is a great snorkel spot with a protected reef. The Club also offers lounge chairs, so you don't have to lug beach chairs, or sit in the sand. The unit is roomy and comfortable, with higher quality towels, linens and bedding than one typically finds in a rental condo. We were especially impressed with the well stocked kitchen - every bit of hardware you'd want, and more than usually well stocked for supplies. Often one gets the feeling that the cleaning crew empties out every last usable item the last guests left behind, and so finding a little olive oil, salt, pepper, condiments, plenty of coffee filters etc just made for a much more pleasant visit. There are even large baskets filled with games and a cornhole game in the garage should you want to be competitive. We enjoyed the smart TV options (bring your passwords to log into nextflix, disney, etc) and cable. Wifi is fast! Another huge plus for us was the fact that the front door has a screen, so you can get that lovely cross breeze in the mornings and evenings. In fact, between the ceiling fans, and the great ventilation, we didn't need to turn on the AC at all! The garage is well supplied with beach chairs, snorkel gear, 4 cruiser bikes with locks and helmets (and a pump and a few simple tools - thank you!), even extra bug spray and sunscreen should you need it. The owners and manager were always reachable, easy to interact with, and timely and clear with their communication - exactly what you'd hope for. The complex is small and quiet and my wife enjoyed riding around and around the complex. My kid and I worked out every day in the small yet well equipped work out room located by the pool/mailbox area. The pool is large (maximum depth of 4') and the hottub warm with strong jets. There is even a warm waterfall next to the hot tub! There seems to be a large common area next to the pool for larger gatherings but we did not utilize. We are not lanai people (gasp!) but this time we ate meals from the lower lanai overlooking the beautiful golf course (oddly- the golfers were quiet!)

Condo complex has an awesome pool, access to an great private beach, and right on a golf course! Condo was well equipped with everything you need to cook and bake. The bicycles provided were an extra bonus. We will be back. Thanks so much.

Great property and location for family friendly getaway. The property was exactly as shown in pictures and properly equipped for all of our family needs. Being on the golf course also worked out well to watch the Honu 70.3 triathlon! Will definitely try to stay here again in the future!

Lovely vacation home

An excellent property for our stay in Mauna Lani

This unit was a great location close to golf, hiking, and the beach. We loved the breeze we got through the condo if we opened the windows...we did not use the air conditioning the entire time we were there! It had every kitchen tool you would need, a nice BBQ, and great linens. We loved backing the golf course and watching the sunset. Nice furniture both inside and out. Myron was very helpful when we had questions. I would recommend this condo.

Great location

We read other reviews about needing to pay extra for additional guests. We had friends that wanted to join us. I asked what the fee was for 2 additional guests & was told $35. Apparently that is per night. Fine. I confirmed that was ok for them, we were then charged $40/person per night. I asked why the increase. I was told rates went up. The listing & the message to me literally said $35. Not that it was a huge amount, but honesty works both ways. If you want the extra room turned into a king bed, you have to do it yourself. It won’t be done for you, even if you ask in advance, which we did. The carpets were dirty. I’m not sure if the sheets had been washed. There weren’t extra sheets for our son. We paid extra for him. So we took it from one of the twin beds that our friends converted into a king. They brought their own king bedding since they weren’t sure if it would be available. It seemed very slim on the silverware. So we constantly needed to wash dishes and it wasn’t a full load. Knives were dull. No whisk. Non stick on was all scratched up and eggs were difficult to cook. Beds were uncomfortable. The twins were very firm. The king in the main room had a giant memory foam topper that had been permanently molded by others bodies. Made it hard to sleep. The pillows were not very comfortable. In the main bedroom, the AC is outside that window on the patio and any time it kicked on, it would make a lot of noise. We had our sons noise maker & a music player going & it still woke us constantly. The door handle when turned is also very sticky. You have to turn it to make sure that it actually closes/latches. Anytime a door is opened or the AC kicks on, the pressure seems to shake the door. The bbq was nice though. Propane. Those get hot! Cooks quick. Made very good use of that. The owner did need to come by & put a tv in the garage & had a garage door opener to do that. Looks like he may have returned more than the one time he notified us since things were gone that used to be there. Then they had a friend that was peering through the slider at our guests. They left a beach card for the owners. The owner needed that, so I put it back out by the bbq. They wanted it at the front door, so we returned to do that & head out again. We have frequented this island over 10 trips as it’s our favorite island. I feel you’re paying for the location, because it’s the best! Minor upgrades could make it perfect

Great property in excellent location, but unresponsive host

My husband and I really enjoyed bringing our two kids to this condo for our vacation. It was clean and close to the Fairmont beach which we used every day. Unfortunately, the property pool was closed for renovations (which we learned about after it was too late to cancel our reservation for free). Also, when we arrived I had some difficulties opening the garage door to access the high chair I needed and despite multiple messages (text and through VRBO) the host never returned my messages. I was glad nothing serious happened when we stayed at the property because the host was unresponsive. Otherwise it was a good stay. However, I had a lot of friends and family that stayed at other condos nearby, many of which offered additional items for their guests (cribs, pack n plays, bikes) at no charge. I could have saved a lot of money by staying at another condo that served our needs with small children better.

Beautiful Kona Vacation

Very nice property, great pool and beach. We enjoyed our stay. it was a nice place to be at the end of our Kona vacation. The upstairs, outdoor sitting area was my favorite spot.

Gorgeous area and neighborhood, spacious and convenient accommodations

We enjoyed our stay at Dancing Dolphins quite a lot. The view of the golf course was quite beautiful and the whole grounds at the Fairways were very tasteful and elegant (and felt practically empty). The pool and pool area were gorgeous and often also practically empty. It was fantastic to have snorkeling equipment and boogie boards to use, as well as the umbrella and the beach chairs. The house was well equipped with tons of things which were really helpful (paper towels, plastic bags, ice packs, napkins, laundry soap, cool bag, etc. and the master bed was very comfortable. The garage is a storage space only and unfortunately it is not possible to park inside. The nearby beach was gorgeous and the snorkeling was fantastic. It was very convenient to park there. However, it is not (in my opinion) a “beach club” in the normal sense of the word. There are no umbrellas (there is very little natural shade), nor are there towels or other things one might expect at a “club.” There are some chaises which are first come, first serve (best to arrive before 9 am or later in the afternoon) and a nearby restaurant with eat-in a take-out. As another reviewer recently wrote, the place is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. However, it is in need of a deep cleaning in order to be restored to its full potential. We also had a few small technical issues which have hopefully since been resolved. Elena was very attentive and easy to communicate with. VRBO customer service, on the other hand, was very difficult to reach and unhelpful.

Tropical getaway

We enjoyed the property. The patio & BBQ were great for morning coffee & family dinners. We loved the private beach club & spent lots of time there. It has a very nice pool unfortunately, it’s adults only until NOON which was very disappointing. Also, the workout room is closed to guests. The home is nicely decorated & owners were easy to get in touch with if there was an issue. I do think the home is in need of a deep cleaning (fresh paint, dusting of decorations, baseboards, closet doors etc) but the bathrooms, bedrooms, & kitchen were all clean upon arrival. I would stay here again.

A beautiful house in a great location

This house was perfect for our family with 3 teens. Very clean and luxurious! We stayed for 4 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed snorkeling in the private beach and swimming in the Hapuna beach. It was also very convenient to have a grocery store nearby. I would highly recommend this house to anyone visiting the Big Island.

♡♡ Fantastic Stay ♡♡

We had an absolutely fantastic stay. The house is beautiful, it's right on the golf course with incredible views....sunrise and sunset. You can see the mountains in the morning, and the sunset in the evening. The gated community is very private and completely safe. The house was well stocked with everything we needed: toiletries, cooking utensils, towels, and beach equipment. Elena (owner) always responded quickly to questions via email...great communication. She offered alternative rental options to us, and we took advantage of the better rate. The entire community (Mauna Lani) has several resorts within it. To accommodate everyone, there are several centrally located restaurants (outside the gated community) as well as a great grocery store. Be prepared to pay premium prices at both the restaurants and grocery store. Be sure to visit the petroglyph park and beaches on site. The best sunset onsite was at 49's Black Beach. It was a rough 10 minute hike, but worth the sunset view. Must visit beaches are Hapuna Beach State Park, Waialea Bay (rocky), and Maniniowali Beach (my fave). Fun local shopping, restaurants, and farmers markets are in downtown Kona, as well as a Target and Costco. Hilo is more "hometown" like and Highway 19 is the most picturesque drive you might ever take to get there. Additional outdoor shopping/restaurants were close by at the Kings & Queens shopping centers, where they also have a Macy's and a food court. We visited local farmers markets in the Up-country and enjoyed malasada and loco mocos. We enjoyed talking to locals, learning their culture and the history of the island. Another Wonderful Stay at Dancing Dolphins

This is our 3rd year in a row at Dancing Dolphins in the Mauna Launi Fairway Villas. This villa is like coming home. So comfortable, beautifully decorated, quiet, and close to shopping, restaurants, and fun island events. Always recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopters for amazing views. The owner, Elena Haluk is so very easy and freindly to work with. Napua Beach Club just a short distance from Dancing Dolphins has a wonderful menu and beach that is not crowded. We have also enjoyed going out on the whale watching boat which is easily booked at Napua area. Saw mamas whales with their babies riding on their backs. So comfortable....you will enjoy.
