Also, within walking distance of many restaurants, bars and shops. You can park your car in the free parking area and everything you’ll need is a few steps away!

• There is FREE residential street parking for ONE car only. Other cars would have to pay at a garage or meter. Parking is about a 5 minute walk from the parking area to the loft depending on where you park on the street. There is paid/meter parking right in front of the loft perfect for dropping off luggage or groceries. The Short North is a very popular area for locals and travelers. You can park your car and enjoy what short north has to offer.
• The building is secure with code access.
• It's a third floor walk up (no elevator) and you'll be on the top floor. Stairs are fun right? It will be worth it you’ll have a grand view of the Short North Arts District :)
• Potential for noise: this loft is located right in the heart of the city on High St which means it can get noisy outside sometimes.

Fantastic Location!

PROS: Very clean, cool historic building, felt safe, responsive host. This place is in the heart of Short North, full of wonderful restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Only a block from the convention center! 3 blocks from North Market! CONS: Noise & stairs. To be fair, these are addressed in the listing. However, we were not prepared for how loud the streets get at night. It literally sounds like you are in the streets. The beautiful old windows do absolutely nothing to block out the noise. That being said, they do provide a sleep sounds machine which is a life saver here. Make sure you turn up the volume on your alarm though! Now onto the stairs, which we also knew about ahead of time. If you plan on leaving the apartment just once each day, that’s 12 flights of stairs a day. If you’re like us and leave a few times each day, it becomes quite a workout. One time, we got all the way to the bottom and realized we forgot something. I was cursing those stairs! All in all, it’s a cute place with an unbeatable location that makes it worth putting up with the stairmaster and the cacophony outside.

Perfect location

I recently stayed here for a convention. It was less than a block from the convention center, which came in super handy when it was raining. There are dozens of restaurants as close and more further up the road. Indeed you will have to use the stairwell to get to the third floor but if that’s not a problem for you and you are coming to a function at the convention center, this is the perfect rental.

Nice place to stay!

This was a very nice place and it was accurately described in the listing. It was a bit noisy at night, but this was disclosed in the listing so it was expected. We stayed on a weekend so it was busy out on the streets, but it quieted down after midnight. The sound machine definitely helped! The property was clean and the bed was comfy. The price of this was much better than any hotel we could find and the parking being included was a bonus! The only small complaint was that we couldn’t get the blinds to close (could have been user error??) so there was some street light that got in that we didn’t care for, but overall not bad. Again, could have been our issue but felt like if I tugged on the blinds any harder, they would have broken. No biggie though! Overall, a great stay!!

parking disaster

on line listing should include info about unloading difficulty and "free" parking situation. There's a large dumpster in front of entry door. park either side and get $55 parking ticket. renter may be required to walk a mile to find parking spot on street. parking should be on a lot or in a deck.

In the heart of it all

This was very cozy and clean! You are minutes away from the convention center, a great indoor market and lots of food and bar options. The attention to detail in the place was amazing. It can be a little noisy since the highway is right by but they have disposable ear plugs, a noise machine and a fan if need be. It honestly was not that loud at all. I will always look to stay here when I’m passing through again. Amazing!!
