Location can't be beat

This cottage sits right on Little Glen Lake, with an amazingly large, shaded yard and a great dock on the water. From the dock you can see the sand dunes and it is a beautiful sight. The road is relatively quiet, with the exception of early mornings when boaters are putting their boats in the water at the public dock nearby. I did not realize there is no A/C (my mistake). We visited in early July and did fine as the home has an abundance of shade, but when it gets hotter/muggy I wouldn't like it. The upstairs bedrooms do not have full window coverings; sleep masks were left which was a nice gesture. This is an older cottage and had a strong smell of moth balls when we first entered (as all the windows were closed). However, it aired out once we opened the windows. There is an abundance of space; a living area on the main and lower level. We enjoyed putting together a 1000 piece puzzle throughout the week that is on-site. Little Glen is a beautiful lake for kayaking and paddle boarding which we did. The kitchen is adequately supplied and includes both drip and K-cup coffee makers. We had 5 people and never had an issue with water pressure or hot water. As mentioned in another review the 3rd full bath is downstairs and is older and small, but useable.

Cousins weekend

We had 9 people including several older women for the weekend. There were 6 beds with enough sheets, blankets and towels. It is a tri level so lots of steps. 1 bath in the main bedroom. 1 bath to be shared by the other bedrooms. Basement bathroom was small w lots of spiders, webs, dirt. Shower not usable. The house had a musty or mothball smell. Kitchen was well supplied. Need to bring coffee filters. It is in a great location on little glen lake. You can see sand dunes to the left from the shore. Nice big table to fit 8 chairs. Would be great in summer w beach/ water access.

Nice older waterfront home

The home was clean and well-appointed with adequate older furnishings. We experienced some maintenance problems that didn't get completely resolved during our one week stay despite reasonable communication with the rental staff (Vacasa). The setting is very nice, and the sand beach was great for the kids. A supply of beach towels would be nice.

Best Vacation!!

There were 12 of us and the space was perfect, we had plenty of room. There is a nice yard between the cottage and the lake. The beach, dock, and firepit were great, we definitely spent a lot of time down there. Glen Lake is beautiful. The kids enjoyed the clear water, sandy bottom, and the fact they could walk out in the water a long way. The cottage is in a great location, nice, and close to Glen Arbor. The town has several restaurants(Art's and Bear Paw Pizza were our favs), cute shops and an awesome park. You are very close to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Pierce Stocking Drive. We would love to come back in the future!
