About this property
The Riverfront Retreat- 27 minutes to Sugarloaf!
This vibrant farmhouse is surrounded by 800 ft. of Lemon Stream. It's only about 27 minutes to Sugarloaf and 8 minutes to Kingfield; located directly off Rt. 27 in route to Carrabassett Valley. You can hit the slopes then come home to a cozy, gas fireplace. You can fall asleep to the sound of rushing water or a bubbling stream. There's a firepit by the stream to enjoy the stars in warmth. The home is full of color and organic decor. FAST WIFI
The space
I invite you to The Riverfront Retreat. This home is intended to be a serene escape; a place to pause, connect, find inspiration, and perhaps heal. Each room has been thoughtfully put together with elements of feng shui and eastern styles mixed in with rustic comfort. PLEASE NOTE LOW TO GROUND FURNITURE!*
The house is fully stocked with everything you should need. Elon Musk’s STARLINK so streaming & remote work is easy.
Here's more about the home/area...
Please note: A professional cleaning service will be hired after each reservation to assure your safety and comfort.
Also, pets are approved on a case-by-case basis with an extra pet fee. Please message me if you're looking to accommodate your fur babies.
This farmhouse-style home is 1200 sq. ft. with cathedral ceilings and some n newly installed hardwood, tile, and stone flooring. There is a cozy loft to relax or work, a stand-up desk and office chair is readily set up if you need to work remote. There is also a mudroom to place all your gear (skis, snowboards, snowshoes, all wet wintry stuff, or in summer your gear from an outdoor hiking or swimming sesh) so it can warm for the next day's adventures.
The house features a jacuzzi tub (bathtub, not an outdoor hot tub), gas stove, gas fireplace, plenty of plants for good vibes, smart tv and dvd player for lounge days, a firepit, and a covered porch to rock and enjoy the view in all seasons. This is a two bedroom home. Both bedrooms have sliding doors to access the outside. The downstairs bedroom has a double-sized bed and two twin beds (bunk beds), and the second bedroom is upstairs and has a queen bed.
The property is 1.5 acres and is pleasant to stroll. It is known by the town as "the island" as it is surrounded by two streams on both sides. The historic wire bridge is a 10-minute walk, the grocery store is a 8-minute drive to Kingfield, and the local hiking mountains include Sugarloaf, the Bigelow Preserve, N. and S. Crocker, Mt. Abraham, and other 4000-footers. Great fishing nearby in the Carrabassett, but there is trout and bass on the property in the stream.
*At this time we do not provide kayaks, but if you bring your own you are able to drop in from the back yard and paddle upstream. There is also places to swim in the river. We offer many recommendations for outdoor adventures or feel free to stay inside for R&R surrounded by live plants and organic decor
