About this property

Charming Farmhouse in a Travel Trailer

Get away from it all on our 2-1/2-acre hobby farm and vineyard in Tehachapi, California. Enjoy clean mountain air, happy farm animals, gorgeous starry nights and peaceful evenings relaxing in the cool evening air.

Our darling little travel trailer is newly remodeled and ready for your visit. There is a separate bedroom with queen size bed complete with a down comforter and beautiful linens. The trailer has heat and air conditioning, so you're covered no matter what the weather. It sits nestled in a quiet spot with its own deck and chiminea.

We are an active hobby farm with lots of farm animals including cows, goats, sheep, chickens, a mini donkey, a goose, cats and our friendly guardian dog Juliet. The safety of our guests and animals is of utmost importance to us, therefore, we ask that you please do not open or climb over any fences or gates. If you want to visit with our friendly animals, we'll be happy to introduce you and provide healthy snacks for them. Please do not feed them anything other than the snacks we provide.

We welcome your well behaved, potty-trained doggies and ask that for their safety and the safety of our animals that they remain on a leash and under your control when outside. We do charge a $40 pet fee, so if you wish to bring your pet, please be sure to select the "I'm traveling with a pet" option on the booking page inside the Travelers field. Please be sure to pick up after them. We also respectfully request that they not be allowed on the bed or furniture. If your sweet pooch has to be by your side at all times (and we understand that!), we can provide you with something to cover the furniture. Just let us know.

You will quickly see that this is a quiet and peaceful place. We request that you please follow our quiet hours of 9:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. If you're interested in helping with morning or evening chores let us know. We are always happy for the help!

To make your stay even lovelier, we have provided you with your own chiminea and Presto logs. There is a lighter in the kitchen drawer. Feel free to make a cozy little fire to enjoy. Before you start your fire, be sure to remove the lid from the top of the chiminea to allow air flow. Just be sure to extinguish all flames before calling it a night.

We also have an awesome outdoor fireplace and are known to get a good fire going on our cool evenings. If we are out there, you are welcome to join us. Just please don't start your own fire. Our upper patio, enormous farm table and pergola are available for your use. Enjoy them - just be ready to entertain a barn cat or two while you do.

We have a livestock guardian dog - our sweet Juliet - whose job it is to chase away any potential predators to our flock or unwelcome animal visitors that do damage to the farm. You may hear her barking at night. That's a sign that she's doing her job and keeping those bad guys away from our sweet animals.

Tehachapi offers wineries, brew pubs, hiking and biking trails, Native American history, train spotting, antique shopping, and much more. We're happy to provide recommendations of things to do. Just ask!

We hope to see you soon.

Tehachapi Getaway

Super unique and fun stay at the farmhouse. Gina and Greg are great hosts, and went above and beyond for our stay including giving us farm fresh eggs for breakfast! Beautiful scenery right from your window and right down the street from charming Tehachapi. Would stay again!

Perfect ending to our vacation

My dog and I stayed here on way back from the beach. The place is exactly as listed, the grounds...even better. It was just me and my pup, it was the perfect way to wind down after our week at the beach. Meeting Grey and Gina was like meeting an Aunt and Uncle you have never met but invited you to stay. They were more than welcoming and I loved talking with them. They were very nice with the tour and gave great recommendations where my pup and I could eat and shop. The trailer was big enough to have room to stretch out, but jo so spacious that it got tedious have a large vacation place to clean up after. It was perfect for our every need. I would definitely stay again.

We had such a wonderful stay at Gina and Greg's beautiful property! They are warm and generous hosts, and the travel trailer is so charming, and outfitted with everything you might need, and then some: a heavenly bed, good coffee, throw blankets handmade by Gina - even binoculars for star-gazing. We loved visiting with them, spending time with the animals, and sitting on the deck in the evening. I highly recommend this special place.

Cute, quiet, & Friendly

I arrived in the evening and the host was standing outside to help me. The trailer is just as cute and clean as the pictures show. Both hosts were extremely helpful and nice. I brought my dog with me and she had a blast exploring all the areas. There’s cows, sheep, and donkeys on the property. Host provided all things needed and I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and have a quiet vacation.

Cozy stay in quaint RV

This is truly a charming property. The owners gave us a tour as we arrived and introduced our kids to the goats and chickens. We enjoyed being greeted by the friendly cows each morning and the carrots in the fridge were a nice touch. :) The RV is adorably decorated and the queen bed is comfy with high-end bedding. The heating worked perfectly and kept us comfortable despite the cold outside since it was late December. The only drawback is that the RV is quite small. It would be perfect for a couple but isn't quite enough space for a family of 4 with dogs. It is a unique place that is conveniently near our family, so we enjoyed our stay regardless.

2 day escape

What a wonderful stay. The trailer was even nicer than it appears in the pictures. The bed was super comfy with luxirious linens. There are plates, cups, wine glasses and some cooking pans so it is possible to bring food and dine in. The hobby farm experience with animals, fresh eggs, carrots to feed and interact with cows was delightful. We will be back again.

Heaven on earth!

What a wonderful slice of heaven on earth. The farm is amazing and Greg and Gina are the most welcoming and friendly hosts. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. My dog Joey especially enjoyed feeding the cows and the donkey carrots that Greg and Gina gave us for that purpose. We will be back!! Thank you so much!

Fun and Fresh Air

Our hosts Greg and Gina greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the gorgeously decorated vintage trailer. It’s obvious a lot of thought went into providing every comfort for prospective guests. My spouse and I were pleasantly surprised to find the trailer well stocked with extras like Keurig coffee pods, a variety of teas, sugars and creamer options. The fridge contained chilled bottles of water and a basket of carrots inviting us to feed the cows, which turned out to be lots of fun. Gina’s flock of feathered friends were generous to share some of their freshly laid eggs with us. Yummy! I felt fortunate Gina took time out of her busy day to share her extensive knowledge of chickens with me. The property itself is serene and picturesque (occasional moos from the cows nearby notwithstanding). It was easy to relax while sitting on the patio. The air was fresh, the mountain views and sunsets Instagram worthy. By the end of our too brief stay, my spouse and I felt peaceful, refreshed and ready to return to our “regular” lives. We hope to come back again soon and wholeheartedly recommend this sublime slice of heaven.

About the host

Host profile image
We are a happy, fun-loving, hard working couple who wanted to get out of the city and enjoy a more peaceful, rural life. It all started with the chickens. From there, we just wanted to add more farm animals, and grow more of our own food, and enjoy small town living.

Why they chose this property

We were fortunate enough to find this beautiful 7-1/2 acre property and to be able to bring life to it. When we bought it, there was not a single blade of grass outside and only a few struggling trees. But we had a vision of what it could be. We removed all the gravel and planted grass and flowers, a fruit orchard and a vineyard. We built walkways and arbors and created beautiful areas to sit and relax, including our gorgeous outdoor fireplace with a huge farm table that sits under a pergola at the top of the property.

Like I said, it all started with the chickens, then we added goats and cows and sheep and a giant livestock guardian dog and barn cats. We planted a small orchard of fruit trees and we try to grow a lot of our vegetables in our big fenced in garden. Because there is so much life here, we don't use any pesticides or dangerous chemicals anywhere on the property.

What makes this property unique

The sounds of the farm waking up every morning still makes me smile. The cows, goats and sheep let you know when its time to eat. And as we make our rounds, we appreciate the fact that we are surrounded by beautiful mountains and the sunrises here can be spectacular. Because there is not a lot of ambient light in our area, the stargazing at night is magical. It's just a special place to be.
