Our 2 bedroom 2 bath condo received a complete renovation so we can offer all the amenities the discriminating traveler desires. From the stainless steel kitchen complete with all small appliances, glassware and cookware to the Select Comfort Sleep Number adjustable mattresses on the king and twin beds, from the custom bath and shower areas with hair dryers to the flat screen TVs with DVD players in the bedrooms and living room, to the full-size front loading washer and dryer in the unit (with free laundry detergent!)- - we strive to fulfill your needs. We provide a small library of books and games if you want to spend an evening inside just relaxing. And of course - FREE WI-FI.



Why the Owner Chose Kihei: : Of all the places we looked at to purchase, Kihei Akahi offered a superb sunny location within walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. We discovered that many times when it rains in Lahaina and Kaanapali, Kihei is usually sunny and warm. Located across from Kaamaole Beach II (voted the best beach on Maui several times) and offering 2 pools with BBQ facilities and tennis courts on site added to Kihei Aklahi's qualities. Boat trips, whether for scuba diving, snorkeling or rentals can be found within walking distance at Kihei Boat ramp.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:: Year Purchased: 1995 - The outstanding view from our lanai is next to Heaven itself. We have over 180 degree view from the west Maui mountains to Molikini Crater. From December to April whales frolic in the waters off Kaamaole Beach as if there to be your private performers. And if sunsets aren't breathtaking enough, looking out the front door up Haleakala Volcano at sunrise surely will do the job.

Owner Description/Comments:: We, Sue and Bill, have been condo owners in Kihei Maui since 1991. We have traveled to all of the Hawaiian islands since 1983 and truly believe Maui No Kai Oi - Maui is the Best. Our sons were raised with many trips to Hawaii learning to appreciate the Hawaiian sea life, culture and natural beauty. We hope to be able to continue to share this wonderful island paradise with YOU making our 'home away from home' Your Vacation Home in Paradise!

Great views from the lanai (much better than pictured!). Condo had ample room for 2 adults, 2 kids. We were grateful for the a/c as the afternoons were toasty. Big plus was being able to use beach chairs, umbrella, cooler as purchasing or renting those items would be another cost. Walking distance to good food and souvenir shops. We enjoyed the beaches nearby and quietness at night. The grounds crew was impressive, always cleaning the property. We felt safe and well cared for. Sue is great to work with! A lovely spot - would visit again!

Almost Perfect Stay in Kihei
This suite in Kihei Akahi complex is absolutely fantastic. The expansive view from the sixth floor is beautiful, the layout and size accommodates a good size group (we were for adults and lots of space), the pools and grills are close and well maintained, the proximity to the beach and to nearby shops and restaurants is ideal, and there are all the kitchen utensils and equipment that you will need for great stay. Our only issue was with the quality of the beds. The twins were air mattresses that members of our group found uncomfortable, and the king in the main bedroom is worn out. Given the almost perfection for the rest of this unit, it would seem from our point of view that an upgrade of beds would put the icing on the cake.

Great Condo and Location
My family of four stayed at this condo for a week in July 2024. It was a wonderful stay. Checking in was very easy at the management office on site. The condo was very clean upon arrival and well equipped. The view of the ocean from the lanai was spectacular. There are two elevators which made it easy to get bags up to the 6th floor. Even though it was in the low 80's every day, we never needed the A/C as opening the lanai sliding door and the screened front door allowed for lots of airflow. With the windows open at night, the morning temp in the condo was nice and cool. There are lots of beach toys including chairs, umbrella, cooler, snorkel gear and sand toys. We never used either pool but they looked nice. The beach is a short walk down the complex driveway (there is a sidewalk) and across Kihei Dr where there is a crosswalk right at the complex entrance. The beach across the street is very big and has a lifeguard on duty. It never seemed crowded. The water was typically calmer in the morning with waves picking up in the afternoon. There are lots of restaurant and sweet treat options within a 10 minute walk for days you don't want to get in the car, but there are many other options within a short drive. There is a great little ice cream shop right around the corner from the condo complex called 808 Sugar Hi - we went 3 times. Overall, this was a great stay and we would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Wonderful top floor location
We can’t say enough about this unit and it’s location. Had the perfect vacation with another couple. The kitchen was well outfitted even with a rice cooker. We barbecued down by the pool for a couple evenings to dine -in on the wonderful lanai with views of the water and marvelous sunsets!! The condo was outfitted with all of the beach toys needed even a small backpack and soft sided cooler which really helped us get our gear to the beach for full enjoyment. Five stars!!

Beautiful condo and location
Sue and Bill's condo is beautiful, spacious, clean and well stocked. It is at a very convenient location right across from the beach and close to restaurants and other amenities. Kihei Akahi is a well maintained property and our kids loved playing at the pool every day. But most of all I enjoyed the spectacular ocean views from the condo! Just amazing to watch sunrise and sunset. Sue had excellent, prompt communication, and the property management was very helpful as well. Thank you from our family for a lovely vacation in Maui!

Each time we arrive at this condo we feel like we are “home”. It is always clean, well equipped, and the new blinds are a plus. We never need the air conditioning as the breeze cools the entire condo. The view from the top floor is spectacular and the tropical gardens and bird life keep it interesting. We will be back!

Spectacular ocean views!!!
We stayed in this very spacious unit for a week with another couple. The layout is great for 4 people as we had lots of space. One of the best parts of this condo is the lanai with a spectacular view of the ocean (you can see the sunset from it), West Maui and Mount Haleakala! The lanai is spacious enough for 4 people to comfortably enjoy it. Although the second bathroom is not ensuite, it's as if it is since it shares an entryway with the 2nd bedroom, which has a great view of Mount Haleakala. The A/C worked very well to keep the bedrooms cool overnight - the only time we used it. The one negative was the beach chairs which were quite old. I contacted the owner who was very responsive and gave me permission to buy new ones (we were going to Costco anyway!) for which she very promptly reimbursed me. We were very happy to have the new chairs. There are also two beach umbrellas, a boogie board, some snorkeling equipment and a cooler - everthing needed for a great day at the beach! The resort is in a great location, across from KAM II with many shops and restaurants within a 15 min. walk. Would definitely rent this unit again. Thanks Susan!

Everything You Need for a Great Stay in Maui!
We picked the right place in Kihei! It starts with the view from the 6th floor corner balcony out to the ocean. Great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and a beverage at sunset. The grounds of the Kihei Akahi property are so lovely. The condo truly had everything - fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas, snorkel gear and kids beach toys, laundry detergent, sunscreen, games and books, even a vase for our purchase of locally grown flowers! The entire condo property is very quiet. This unit is in building D, at the back of the property. Only 4 bldgs, so it's easy to navigate. We didn't use either of the 2 pools, but one was directly behind our building. The building has an elevator. You exit the property and cross the street to a lovely sand beach: Kamaole II. So convenient, since we really wanted to relax on the beach for a couple of days before sightseeing. It's a fairly commercial section of Kihei, but that makes it easy to pick up snacks, get gas, etc. It was a short drive to see the beautiful Wailea resort area. Sue (the owner) was so responsive throughout the process. The communications from the management company (arrival, door code, departure) were timely and helpful. The property's on-site office staff were delightful and friendly! I would definitely recommend this condo!

Fabulous Stay!
My family, including two teenagers, stayed for 11 nights at Sue's beautiful condo. We were extremely happy as soon as we walked in. The condo was very spacious and clean. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you would need to cook. We didn't find anything that Sue didn't have. The kids loved having their own twin beds and space in their separate bedroom from us. Having two bathrooms was definitely appreciated as well by all. My husband said the bed was the most comfortable he has ever slept on and that means a lot as he is extremely picky when it comes to beds. The view was spectacular from the lanai and we enjoyed the beautiful manicured grounds which are taken care of so wonderfully by the grounds keepers. Sue was always so quick and accommodating with any questions I had. She was a pleasure to deal with. I can't say enough positive things about our stay. Bottom line - stay here and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend! Thanks Sue! We hope to visit your beautiful condo again soon.

We, Sue and BIll Everett, love to travel and have been traveling the Hawaiian islands since 1985. We have two grown sons in Ohio and Utah and the world's best dog, Brownie! Although we'd love to spend more time in Kihei work makes that impossible so we love to share our island paradise condo with our guests.

Why they chose this property

After seeing all the Hawaiian islands and all parts of each island, we decided on Kihei because of its dry, sunny climate. We noticed when we stayed on the "West side" it rained quite a lot, but Kihei was nice and sunny. We have not regretted our purchse one single minute!! The office staff are helpful and keep Kihei Akahi running smoothly. Plus our board of directors take a hands on approach to every situation so no detail gets overlooked.

What makes this property unique

The unique benefit of our condo has to be the lanai and the awesome ocean views. During whale season, have a seat, pickup the binoculars and its better than any whale watch trip. And of course, theres no better place to see the beautiful Maui sunsets than on your own comfortable lanai.
