About this property

Strawberry Hill Farm close to Hudson, Stillwater and many great event locations

Welcome to comfort and relaxation! Exquisite rural setting in the river valley of the St Croix. Cozy up in this brand new barn apartment on our home property that is close to beautiful parks and trails and many attractions and also a half hour from the Twin Cities.
The space:
Designed with modern and well equipped spaces in mind, the entire second floor of the barn space is for our guests use including a full laundry room and fully equipped kitchen.
The Loft at Strawberry Hill provides its guests fresh towels, linens, and many other necessities such as dish soap, dishwasher/laundry tabs, shampoo etc.

Other things to note:
Balconies on both ends to enjoy beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Many trails for walking. Afton Alps resort and Afton State Park close by. Private fire pit on premises for our guests outdoor use. Great restaurants in quaint downtown Hudson 8 min. away and historic Stillwater only15 min. away.

We can sleep 6 comfortably or more depending on if the queen beds are shared. For sleeping accommodations we have the main "owners" bedroom with a queen bed, the secondary bedroom has 2 twin beds. In the living room, the sofa has a pull-out queen mattress made of quality memory foam and bedding. In addition to or if preferred, we also have a Queen size double high air mattress with built in pump and also a twin double high mattress with built in pump and all bedding. (Extra charge of $15 per night for more than 4 guests.)

Good weekend stay

Close enough drive to anything you’d need but still feels quaint and private. Owners were communicative and inviting. Everything was clean and homey. Perfect for a good weekend getaway

Girls Weekend

Myself and a friend wanted a cozy place to have a girls weekend. This place was gorgeous and exactly what we needed. We were able to go into Hudson for dinner and also stay in the second night and just relax. The loft is perfectly decorated and has all the amenities you could want. Will definitely be back!!

Perfect weekend in St.Croix River Valley!

Such a charming guest house! So comfortable and beautifully situated in a quiet street tucked behind the owners home, yet very quiet and private. Plus, the property has horses, outdoor fireplace and is overall just an idyllic scene.

Minnesota Getaway

We had the best time staying on this beautiful property in The Loft. This is a 10/10 in all categories. The horses and cat added to the whole atmosphere. Gorgeous!! Gorgeous!! We really weren’t ready to leave. Thank you for a wonderful time!

This property is gorgeous!! The owners are very accommodating and helpful! We look forward to staying here again in the future! A bonus, Everest, the cat, is so friendly, and it was fun to watch the horses and mini run in the yard & pasture! :).

Amazing property!

Orginally we booked the barn so we were closer to Afton Alps to spend the weekend snowboarding. The weather ended up being way too cold so we spent most of our weekend at the MOA. Although this was about 30 minute drive to the mall . It was an easy drive and nice to get out of the city to relax at night. The house had everything we needed to cook and sleep comfortably. The kids found some fun games to play and we were able to stream some football games from our phone to the Apple TV, and although it is beautiful and cozy we didn’t feel like there was anything our kids could break so we weren’t quite as nervous as we have been in previous places! It really is very very family friendly Jake responded very quickly the couples times we messaged him about certain things and our kids absolutely adored the cats and horses !! We are already looking forward to a summer trip up here !! Truly we can’t recommend this place enough!!

Our group of girlfriends had a great fall weekend getaway during peak fall colors. Jake and Abby were fabulous hosts with great communication. The loft is clean, exactly as described and well-stocked. Would definitely stay again!

Strawberry Hill Review

An amazing property! The loft was thoughtfully renovated- beautiful and functional! We appreciated all of the small gestures that made traveling with little ones easier (sound machines, pack and play, toddler mattress, etc). An absolutely wonderful host family that we would highly recommend. Our children loved greeting Tootsie, the miniature horse everyday!

Beautiful girls weekend

This property was absolutely INCREDIBLE! My girlfriends & I were so impressed by the loft. It was so cozy & perfect size for a group of 4. We were close to Stillwater & Hudson. The area was so peaceful & quiet. It had everything we needed for the weekend. Our hosts were very responsive & easy to connect with in the event that we needed something. Even better than you think

This renovated barn upper is absolutely stunning. It is equipped with everything you need and then some. We needed a place to rest and this exceeded expectations. The farm is both easily accessible to Hudson and the Twin Cities, yet has a clearly rural feel. The owners have thought of everything: extra chargers, nespresso, Bluetooth speaker, cozy blankets, and the list goes on.

Wonderful retreat!

The property was easy to find and the setting is lovely. The Loft was perfectly furnished and decorated to be very comfortable. We had 4 women for a milestone birthday weekend and enjoyed just hanging out. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again.

Great getaway!

This place was wonderful. Peaceful and a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of life. Main bed was a little softer and kind of rolled into the middle but some of that is preference and I had just threw out my back right before coming so preferred something a bit more firm. We used the twin beds the last couple of nights and that worked much better for my back. Can’t say there was anywhere we would have rather stayed.

Girls Trip

Strawberry Hill Farm was perfect for our annual girls trip. The owners Jake & Abby were so accomodating. Supplying wood and starting our campfire for us when we were on our way back from our evening out in Hudson. We pulled up and the fire was going! We thought that was pretty special. The property was beautiful 😍.. loved their mini horse "Tootsie". The loft we stayed at was beautifully decorated and each girl had their own bed (3 of us!). We were able to make a pancake breakfast and had a taco/margarita night at our vacation rental! It was the BEST. Very relaxing and cozy!

The barn loft was beautifully decorated. Very comfy and cozy. The owners have thought of everything. The property is beautiful. It was fun watching the horses from yhe balcony, and having coffee by the fireplace in the morning. The loft was very clean. The beds and linens are very comfortable. I hope I can stay there again. We (3 college friends for a girls weekend) really enjoyed our stay here! Lots of little details that were appreciated for a cold November weekend of hanging out - snuggly blankets, a basket of slippers, autumn decor, and a coffee cart. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was adequately stocked and everything was very clean!

Bachelorette Weekend

We had such a great time at Strawberry Hills Farm! The barn was well decorated and cozy to stay in. We spent some time in Stillwater, but enjoyed just hanging out in the loft! The horses and pony were an added bonus, as was the very affectionate kitten! This is a great getaway spot for the weekend.

Work Retreat

We had a small work related retreat. Great location. Nice and quiet & a special spot for quiet collaboration in the living space. We took morning walks to the beach & cooked a couple evenings. We also visited Afton, Hudson & Stillwater-all super fun. Great stay & would return for sure. A special spot for sure.

Anniversary

We had a wonderful stay at Strawberry Hill Farm. The barn apartment was nice and cozy with a warm fireplace in the living room. We enjoyed exploring the small towns around Anton during the day and snuggling by the fire in the evening. It was a perfect location to get Stillwater, Red Wing, Hudson, and the Twin Cities. We would recommend this place to couples and families.

We love the river valley area and the access to so many cities and attractions close by. We both grew up on the east side of MN and never want to leave!

What makes this property unique

If truly feels like you are way out in the country but without the long drive :) Quiet and serene. Nothing better than a cup of coffee on the deck and watching the sun rise. Its medicine!
