This beautiful home offers deep water dock which is great for swimming and fishing. It is within walking distance from the Virginia Dare Marina where you can eat lake side at the Portside Bar and grill or go out for a sightseeing dinner cruise. Only 10 minutes to major a grocery store and State Park. Mile marker R21 allows you to get to the Dam or the bridge within minutes. There are several restaurants that are within a ten minute drive by car or boat. Very quiet neighborhood great for walking.

Cleanliness when we arrived was not great. Advertisement said usable fire pit that was not the case. Access to one of the patios was not available. Would have a been a great place to have dinner on the deck. Grounds crew came unannounced and damaged our yard golf game.

July lake vacation
Great location on a really nice cove. The dock is perfect for hanging out and swimming. The covered area is especially nice to get a break from the sun and play cards. The house has everything needed for a relaxing lake vacation.

We had a blast! The house was clean, provided great views of the lake, and was very comfortable for the 5 of us. We all enjoyed the dock, swimming, and laying out in the sun!

We had a great weekend at Smith Mountain Lake! The house was perfect for 5 of us. Beautiful views, fun dock, and great fishing!

Beautiful property, wonderful location
This was our second stay at this house. Perfect for our family and our dogs. Great location. Great dock. Love the gentle slope (not a lot of steps). Kitchen is well equipped. Main floor layout changed since we were last there…for the better. Nice big TV and reclining leather couches. Property manager is great to work with and super responsive. Spiral staircase to the basement can be a challenge to traverse (especially with a load of laundry)…dogs didn’t really like it either. But, it is a space saver so I get why it is there.

Perfect Lake Experience
This home exceeded my expectations! We have been renting at SML for over 15yrs & stayed in many homes & condos - this one is among the best. We all noted that we slept better than any other place, the beds were comfortable & the AC worked great. The views from the Florida room were awesome, kitchen setup was great, the dock was amazing, landscaping beautiful, and the location on the lake perfect. The steps down to dock are a little steep but manageable with the tiered steps. We had very good weather & made awesome memories. Thanks again for sharing your home with our family!

Awesome Locat
This was a very cozy house with beautiful landscaping, view and boat dock. Only downside was you had to bring your own linens and towels and do some light cleaning of the counters/refrigerator before leaving, but it is totally worth it. We were able to kayak to the state park.from the house. Nice coves for paddle boarding.

Awesome property! A little older but very homey! Neighborhood very quiet. Great location on the lake and nice dock and sun deck! Our family enjoyed this location VERY much! We love SML and would definitely book this house again! Vicki was very helpful and responded quickly.

Beautiful Lake House!!!!
We arrived a little early and were so luckily to meet Vicki, she was so extremely welcoming. Gave us some tips on the area as well. Stop looking and book this house, the pictures do not do it justice. The dock is large and where the dock is gives a great view of the sunsets every evening we sat out and watched the sun set. The Lake is a deep lake, right off the dock it's 15 feet so great to fish and not get caught on the bottom as well great to jump off and not hit bottom. We ate definitely going back!

Incredible Views and Outstanding Location
It's tough to get a better view of SML than what you get at this house. The many windows facing the lake meant we could sit there for hours watching the boats coming in and out - very enjoyable! The lower deck is great and very convenient for docking our boat, the grill and hammock were fun as was the foosball table, but the upper deck needs some work. We did deal with an underwhelming cleaning job (tin foiled remains in the grill, shoes and bags left behind by previous renters) but the essentials were fine. Check-In process was choppy but we got it resolved. Owner was responsive and nice. The yard was well kept. Beds were comfortable. We would stay here again b/c the view was so amazing that it was worth every penny.

Great house! The property and lake access are awesome. Kitchen was great, everything worked well - appliances, lights, grill, etc. which can sometimes be a hassle in rental properties. It was convenient to feed a group of 7 at the lovely dining table and outside areas. The house could use some furniture upgrades in the sun/family room, but the sunset view was spectacular. House could use some TLC outside as well, mostly just an "after-winter" effort. Renting a boat that we could dock at the house was so convenient and fun. Many thanks for a great Easter weekend!

Perfect lakefront cottage!

Beautiful cove!
We loved the location of the property on the water and the cove. The house was nice, the beds were comfortable, and the AC and the appliances worked perfectly. The only complaint I have is the home is very dated, some of the lights don't work, doors are hard to open and close, it's a little bit run down. Needs a lot of updating. For the money they charge, some of it should be put in upgrades. Overall we had a good time and spent plenty of time on the water with the kids.
