What an amazing get away! This is a beautiful space that is nicely tucked away in nature. Clean, quiet, well-appointed and very comfortable with singing Donkeys and amazing deer families passing through. If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle and retreat to a heavenly hideaway - this is the place. It's close enough to downtown, the springs and all of the area attractions while simultaneously allowing an amazingly private experience. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy Penelope Point.
Owner was super sweet and very responsive to questions. Home is cute, clean and quiet. All the little extras were certainly appreciated although with it being a wedding weekend, we didn't get to spend much time there.
We had an amazing time and fell in love with Penelope Pointe!!
Beautifully decorated Farmhouse, with every amenity you may need. The house is secluded and peaceful with lots of trees and nature views to enjoy from the enclosed porch. We saw tons of deer and birds and the 2 donkeys that live on site are super cute!
We definitely made tons of amazing memories. We visited the Springs, ate dinner at High Springs and visited their cool Brewery and antique stores. We also ate at the house and even built a fire outside, played music and even danced under the stars.
Communication with Takara was amazing. She is, by far, the best host, I have ever had!! I would give them 10 Stars if I could!!
Thank you for making our weekend so memorable!! We are definitely planning to come back!!
Takara was a fantastic host.
The estate was the perfect quiet getaway. The house was fully stocked and spotless. It was decorated like something out of a farm house magazine. Anything you need or could think you would want is within reach.
The property has some farm animals and they have the cutest personalities. We looked forward to hanging out with them in the early evening.
Perfect place to get off the grid. Can’t wait to go back in winter.
This property is perfect if you want to relax and enjoy nature. The property managers are incredible, super friendly and very accommodating.
The house is extremally comfortable and this is a very quite area.
Stayed here with my mom and sister while visiting family. We had such a wonderful relaxing visit! Our hosts were readily available to answer any questions and accommodate our requests. The home is so warm and inviting and loved the country vibe. Beds were very comfortable. One was firm and the other 2 were like sleeping on a cloud. I loved sitting on the porch in the morning drinking my coffee and taking in the peaceful scenery. Loved watching the donkeys play.
Great stay. Will definitely stay here in the future if we visit again.
Penelope Point hits all of the high points for location, cleanliness, and solitude.
What an absolutely amazing home we able to spend time in for a week in March 2023. Although the home is called "Penelope Point", I'm taking the liberty of renaming the home to "My Sanctuary".
"Penelope Point" is a beautifully appointed 3 bedroom 2 bath home located in the middle of a Pine tree forest at the end of a dirt/grass road. The only sounds you hear are the birds chirping and the wind rustling through the Pines and Oak trees.
The home is warm and inviting with the most comfortable sofa and love seat located in the family room.
My dive buddy took the Master Bedroom and I had the "Hot Wheels" bedroom. We both commented that the beds were so comfortable we felt like we were sleeping on clouds. We never had a problem falling asleep.
The kitchen is very well appointed with updated appliances including coffee maker and microwave.
The highlight of Penelope Point was the large screened-in front porch with rocking chairs. We had a very busy schedule of diving certification throughout the week. When we were able, we would end the day rocking on the porch and watching the sun set just over the Pine trees. There is a large screen TV in the family room which we never used. We preferred to spend quiet time on the from porch in the rocking chairs.
Compliments to the Caton's for the cleanliness of Penelope Point.
If you are looking for a home away from home to unwind, relax, and unplug, Penelope Point is the elixir that cures all ails.
A HUGE THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING US TO EXPERIENCE PENELOPE POINT.
This property was great and we would stay there again. The beds were most comfortable. The only comment would be it is a bit difficult to find with no street sign. I would suggest that you mention that the house before the mailboxes has a large bow on the gate. Then turn left on the next road.
