Cozy, clean and comfortable

This is our second stay here and it went just as well as the first time! This rental is very well equipped, decorated nicely and clean as a whistle. The hosts are prompt about answering questions and addressing concerns.

Perfect location for DC

Absolutely charming and cozy retreat. Our stay here was delightful! Bonus points for the wild raspberry bush right outside our door! No issues with parking on the street. The neighborhood was safe and friendly.

Wonderful Home Base for A DC Visit!!!

We loved this thoughtfully designed and well appointed rental unit! The owners have thought of so many details to make the stay comfortable and their rental unit inviting and gracious! We LOVED having a full kitchen and laundry room at our disposal and found it such a great place to unwind after our daily adventures. The neighborhood is quiet and charming. The owners are responsive and great communicators! I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thank you for making your "cozy basement" such a great home away from home!

Very cozy and clean

We are repeated guest at the building but never been at the basement apartment, so we were trilled to find a beautifully remodel space we everything we need it for our holiday stay. We will definitely look forward to stay in that particular apartment again.

Clean and cozy

The location was perfect for us and parking was never a problem. The apartment is large and well appointed. The bed was super comfy. There were TVs in the bedroom and living room which was nice. We had a little difficulty navigating the TV programming. Couldn’t find shows that we usually watch. The only disappointment.

A Perfect Stay

Our apartment was perfect for us! * Surprisingly large space * Well stocked, nice size full kitchen with Keurig and coffee pods * Nicely decorated with neutral colors and furniture that offers a nice openness *The bed is the best I've ever slept on and I have a bad back (thank you, thank you, thank you) The bathroom is well stocked with plenty of towels and shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided The hvac units in each room are very efficient AND Quiet The location is very safe The metro is a two-mile drive You will truly enjoy your stay here and we highly recommend this property. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to D.C. This was our first experience with VRBO and we couldn't be more pleased!

Not private poor parking

Everything was good but I guess I am a country bumpkin and didnt like that people were living upstairs. The name says apartment and that is how it feels. Very small and you can hear others upstairs. The kids commented it smelled like a basement but I thought it smelled like cleaner. Dated bathroom and it was VERY small. The parking was also challenging as we had to park a block away but this is probably normal for a city? Not my favorite vrbo! but it gets the job done. Bed was very comfortable but we didnt use the property for anything but sleeping because we didnt feel comfortable. I would suggest a maximum of 2 guests at this property

The Good and The Bad

When I first arrived there were a few items that needed to be addressed. The host was happy to take care of these items and it wasn’t an issue at all. Midway through my stay. A family checked in above me. The kids were running around and all of that noise was being transferred down to where I was. I text the host. This is what I got back. I’m looking and it appears they have little ones and just getting settled in. I will remind them to be aware of noise but it’s tough with the little ones. 🙁 For the rest of my stay I got to listen to kids running around. And I got to tell you. I didn’t appreciate the host talking down to me. I have a kid too. At the end of the day. I think my stay was SO SO. The unit was a place to stay. However; it could use some love and attention. A little maintenance would go a long way.

First trip to DC

This place was nice, a 45 minute commute to the national mall with busses and the metro. Close to bus stations. Got around the whole trip with out a car (except Uber to and from airport). The couch bed was decently comfy, great AC, convenient laundry. The shower and soaps were nice, though the water heater is set to dangerously hot levels, and one has to set the tap near to cold to avoid scalding temperatures. The owners were responsive and clear in their instructions. The only concern was cleanliness. On the surface this place looked and felt clean, but upon further inspection it needs a deep clean/ sanitation. I know that due to humidity mold can grow easier, but I noticed the water filter wasn’t clean, the coffee machine might have had mold, and also the shower head looked like it needed to be cleaned. The other main issue was bedding. The main bedroom my sister slept in had hair on sheets belonging to not us, which made her question if the bedding had been washed before we came. I felt the same way about the comforter for the couch, its wonderfully soft and fluffy but has no cover, and some black stains on the end which leads me to think it doesn’t get laundered between uses. With a deep clean, I’d gladly rate this place higher. Thanks!

Schöne Wohnung zu einem guten Preis

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr schön und gepflegt. Auch mit zwei Kindern kann man gut in dieser Wohnung leben. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man ist von der Wohnung aus in ca. 20 Minuten in Washington. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.
