The host was accommodating, the grounds are lovely, the cabin was a fine place to get some rest. If you're fancy, this probably isn't the space for you. If your objective is to toss a kayak in the river or catch a couple fish and hang out in a camping-like environment, you'll like it here.
Family of 4 including 2 young children. We spent one night and although we weren’t there long, we did have a pleasant stay. The property seemed safe, with scenic trails and close to everything you need. The cabin itself was clean and the bathrooms located in a separate building just outside of our cabin were very clean which I appreciated.
I have been down twice this summer. I think this is a great place to stay and will Again for an upcoming trip. Spring River is wonderful and these cabins are perfect!
We enjoyed the cabin much more than a motel room...sitting outside with our morning coffee seems more like home. A sugestion for a few tweaks to the property...a hand rail on the bathhouse steps would feel safer for elderly people like us...longer curtains on all the windows so someone could not peek under...a foot stool to prop your feet on while watching tv would have been more comfortable...overall we enjoyed our 3 nights and visited a lot of relatives in MS & Thayer.
Everything was just as described and great communication! Definitely gonna stay again.

Disappointed
Have stayed there before and loved it. This stay not so much the bathrooms needed some attention, but can easily be overlooked, the cabin on the otherhand was not, the beds, and bed linens were absolutely clean and tidy that was about it. Now there are canoes and floaters coming and going ruining the peaceful feeling, it just felt to much like being at Saddler falls or one of those places.
Cabin was easy to find. I think this would be great for a group wanting to float Spring River. The main draw back for me was no restroom in my cabin. It was right next door and very clean.
I came down to do some fly fishing and needed a simple place for my dog and I to stay. This was just what I needed. Everything was as described. Didn’t mind having to use the nearby bathhouse. Only complaint was proximity to the highway. If you’re a light sleeper traffic noise might bother you. I would definitely stay here again.
The property was nice and everything was clean, well kept, rustic and had plenty of travel size goods for you to use. We did have some issues staying connected to the wifi and TV was hit or miss on connection. Bathroom and shower was nice and clean but not something we enjoyed having to go outside during the night to get to. Overall the cabin and location were good.
I wanted to have a summer camp type of trip with my kids as a retreat and time to recharge. This property was perfect. I sent messages to ask questions before and during the stay. He answered immediately and was so helpful. This property is very clean, well tended acreage, and so many hospitality touches. There were games, coffee treats, tea and coloring books. We loved EVERY minute.
