About this property

Waterfront relaxation, 3 bedroom lake house

Cozy lake house found on Long Lake, Northern Maine has so much to offer! 3 bedroom, 5 bed, 1 bathroom, full kitchen, with woodstove for those chilly nights. Waterfront Deck that overhangs the water with a great view of the mountain on the otherside, bald eagles fishing and ducks and many birds that swim by. The outdoor fire pit between the stream that runs through our property and the lake makes a beautiful evening setting. Sandy and shallow shore line that will give you the perfect mix between swimming and watersports for the complete lakehouse feel. Suited for a romantic get away, family vacation or home away from home for your recreational needs. A dock and mooring on property Trail system for sleds, ATV/SXS and boat launch within minutes.
The space
3 bedrooms, downstairs is a single king bed room, upstairs loft rooms with one queen size bed and closet. A second room with a bunk bed set and a queen bed along with full size closet, tv and DVD player. All have coat hangers night stands shelf’s and ample places for charging items and storage of clothing and hanging towels
Guest access
Parking is in front of garage or on the front yard. Front door, and mud room door on lakeside for when the weather gets nasty.
Other things to note
Hot water may have slight sulfer odor to it, the well has been tested and the water is perfectly safe but suggest bringing drinking water if tap water isn’t your thing. Please do not practice using a wood stove if you’ve never used one. If the alarm goes off outside it is a sewer alarm and please call me and I’ll have it taken care of immediately. The left side French door is better left locked and the right side is a little sticky, so just give it a good tug and it opens inwards just fine.

Great host - pics were deceiving
First let me say, the host is wonderful! Communication was great! He replied quickly to all my questions and was great! When it comes the house, it's more like a cabin (and I don't do cabins) because there were a few things that I wasn't expecting. Cobwebs everywhere, hair on the edge of the fridge shelves, a bathroom sink that would get clogged with just a simple hand washing, a stand-up shower stall wall that wasn't flush with the room wall, a vice grip at the top of the shower stall to keep the shower door closed, a deck that looked like something a preschool child made is popsicle sticks, a back door that couldn't shut completely or if you could get it shut, good luck getting it open! Stairs that could only accommodate 1/2 of my size 7 shoe per step, a railing on the second level that a young child could easily fall through and every morning, I looked for where our uninvited guest left his **droppings** overnight (We named him Stuart). But hey... We had some OPENED food in the cabinets & fridge. The positives include comfortable beds, a large dining table, ample bath towels, a kayak and canoe, wood for the fire pit, a huge screen tv, an AC unit, a wood burning stove, and a dock. Not what I was expecting based on the photos but had a great time with family.

Nice old place to stay at, will definitely rent again. Owner answered questions immediately on the pjone, that was a plus. Living room a little tight for 6 people if that could be an issue . Overall very happy

Group that stayed on 2/5-2/10/23
Gary was great. Cabin was smaller but still comfortable for our party of 5. Trail access from right out front on the Lake or across the road we found a trail leading through the woods that connects to ITS 83. Wood stove was key this week as the back room stays much cooler when the furnace isn’t heating the whole house. Over all, we’d stay again.
