Nice location, View and neighborhood. Would have been able to access water if dock had been installed. Bikes unreliable. Convenient to many parks and keys.
Located on a channel with view and easy water access. Kitchen included lots of choices for cooking and serving. Deck was relax and shaded. Neighborhood not commercial. Close to things to see, grocery, restaurants, beaches, trails, etc. home pictures and descriptions accurate. Host very responsive and helpful.Would definitely recommend and return if we come to the Keys again.
Juan is a wonderful host! This house is located on a very quiet road that is easily accessible to everything! Juan promptly replied to all of our inquiries and questions before, during and after our stay. This home is very clean and organized. It has everything you will need- pots, pans, utensils, seasonings, coffee filters, soaps, beach towels, and bath towels, etc. Downstairs, he has kayaks, a paddleboard, bicycles, beach chairs, beach umbrella, mask, snorkels, fishing pole with lures for your use. We kayaked every day and explored different areas as well as Shands Key (we saw a couple of turtles around there each time we went out) and saw stingrays, turtles, nurse sharks and other kinds of fish throughout our ten day stay. It was easiest to launch the kayaks around high tide. There is also a walking/biking path on Aviation Blvd that is shaded in the morning that you can easily walk to from the house. We recommend visiting the Turtle Hospital (best to make reservations), Bahia Honda State Park, Curry Hammock State Park and the two mile walk/bike on the old Seven Mile Bridge to Pigeon Key (or take the train ride there). This is also where you will see the most beautiful sunsets. If the parking lot is full, you can park across the street near the Sunset Grille. Such a magical place! Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us, Juan!
The house is obviously older but certainly in very useable condition. All of our needs were met and all texts to the owner were answered quickly. The weather was far from perfect, cold and windy. There were some drafts around the glass doors but had it been warm outside, we never would have noticed. Enjoyed our stay!
We had a wonderful stay! Juan was a great hist. He kept in contact with us a week before the stay and gave us updates on the property. The house was comfortable and perfect for our needs. I have stayed in several vacation homes and I will stay this is the MOST well stocked home ive ever stayed in. Juan thought of everything. Even down to a beach umbrella and pool noodles. My only complaint (which is not the fault of the host) is the floating dock was damaged prior to our arrival and had to be taken down. This made water access almost impossible bc the area in front of the home is muddy. But the views and the breeze and atmosphere was wonderful. We had a wonderful and much needed vacation.
Property was well kept and organized. Everything we needed was provided. Owner was responsive quickly to any questions. Location was Amazing. We snorkeled 100 yards from the house every day, even up close with a sea turtle! Kayaks were exactly what we needed them to be. There was a hiccup with the pier having to be removed, so getting our young son in and out at low tide and the mud was complicated, as he sank up to his waist. Owner was understanding and quickly moved to make it right. Would highly recommend a stay!
It is a nice 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house. Beautiful balcony overlooking water. They have several kayaks to use, washer/dryer, stocked with dishes, pots/pans, drinkware. We enjoyed our time very much.
We loved staying here and would stay here again! The hosts were responsive, kind and let us check in early. If you're reading comments and concerned about some of the negative ones, let me set your fears aside - the house was lovely and the water equipment worked as they should. The furniture/decor is a bit dated but that did not negatively impact our stay. The kayaks all worked great plus there was a paddle board in the basement/garage/storage that we could use. The dock was a bit precarious so just use caution.
We loved being right on the water and took full advantage of the deck and fire pit. The house is at the end of the street which is quiet. We were a short drive to Sombrero Beach which was our favorite for a no-fuss beach. If you need a different sunset view, check out sunset beach. Cools views of the sunset but amazing views of the water - we saw so many different types of sea life right off the dock!
This is a fantastic location! Paddleboard and kayak from the dock. Saw turtles daily. Private and quiet yet close to restaurants and grocery stores. Just need to replace the bedroom ceiling fan.
We were pleasantly impressed with the quiet neighborhood and scenic view that this rental provided. The house was very clean and well furnished with all the amenities of home. The Marathon location allowed for several short jaunts to Key West and local restaurants.
The view was amazing! Overall the house was a disappointment, so dated. There was no waste basket in kitchen. The master bath tub didnt drain, the toilet ran and the fan in the bedroom went 1 speed , SLOW. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. One chair on deck was broken, there shoukd be bath fans in both bathrooms .
There was no grill and no hot tub. I know pools are expensive, but you couldn't swim in the water out front. Kitchen had some cooking utensils, but limited. The batteries died in the keyless entry, but thankfully there was a lock box with extra keys. The weather was fabulous, but for the price we paid, the house wasn't good for us.
Very comfortable and relaxing. Great view! We hope to stay again in the future!

Not acceptable to rent in this condition
The location is perfectly beautiful. Owners response to main door lock not working was immediate however he quickly assumed operator error when I thought it was low batteries. We installed new batteries and lock worked.Amenities not as listed. Bikes not usable due to extreme rust and mold. Kayaks took on water during trip out. Found previous patching on bottoms leaking and we re-patched to make usable. No wash clothes or dish clothes, two thin beach towels and both comforters stained on bottom side. Rattan furniture inside and out had broken and missing pieces to their seats and backs.Director chairs dirty loose and unsafe. Kitchen floor had loose vinyl square. Washer and drier shook pictures on wall out of square. Medicine cabinets and closet carpeting was very old and very stained. Not a snorkeling destination as listed beyond normal scattered fish off shore. No check out information given beyond time to be out.
Location, location, location. Right on the water with a million dollar view. Clean and well stocked. Kayaks supplied to enjoy the direct water access. Close to shopping, entertainment, and restaurants.
