This rental was great for our end-of-year holiday time with our Indy family. The size was perfect for my husband and me as well for visiting with family. The location was perfect and central for anyone coming from any side of town.
The property was clean and in a great location. We were easily able to make the trip from the natatorium to the house a few times a day. Everyone had space and we were very comfortable.
We were very pleased with the house. Pretty much everything you need, except a keurig coffee maker, no biggie, but seriously, when we come back next year let's get that upgrade. Biggest impress was that the towels and sheets were super clean and smelled great! They do need to post the house address in a more conspicuous place than the steps on the streetside corner, but we were able to find it eventually. I would recommend this house to whomever needs a night or two. There were also a wide range of restaurants within walking distance. (thankfully a Starbucks) Do watch out for the 1 way streets and direction of parking, that can be somewhat particular also. Overall go ahead and pull the trigger, you will not be disappointed.
I visited with a coworker and stayed a few nights while doing some research work with folks at the nearby Indiana University medical school. I would happily stay again.
Great stay. Quick response when necessary from owner. Perfect location for airport and all we needed for marathon. Only suggestion would be more spare blankets. Could only find one. Even with thermostat at 71 it was rather chilly (it was a cooler and much windier weekend) definitely stay again!!
We had some problems with our stay. The host was responsive for some things and made excuses for others.
- We have to ask for the code to enter the house
- There were only three drinking glasses in the entire home and they did not match (the host did buy new ones)
- No soap to wash the new glasses so the host had to come over again (dish or dishwasher)
- Listing said there was a hot tub. There is not.
- Listing said there is a grill. We were told it was in storage but she could get it out.
- Ceiling fans were filthy so they could not be turned on
- Light in the first bedroom did not work
- No patio or front porch furniture
- Kitchen was incredibly bare! Plan to bring EVERYTHING including salt and pepper and tin foil
- Air vents and window ledges were filthy
- Bath towels had brown stains on them. Some were ripped.
- Hot water tank allows for about 1.5 quick showers.
- Moldy coffee grounds were left in the coffee maker.
- There were dirty pans in the cupboards
- Listing said water view. There is no water view.
- Garbage can was nowhere to be found.
The bathrooms were clean and the air conditioning worked well. We appreciated it nice and cool in there when we first arrived.
I give my guests space but am available when needed. I love hosting guests, but I believe in giving you your space. I’m just a phone call or message away and I’m happy to help if needed.
