SPRING Season: welcome the warming months in the mountains! Pull out the fishing pole, motorcycle, and hiking boots. Check out the apple blossoms and first crops coming out of the fields.

SUMMER Season: the farmers markets are in full swing. There's a main Street fair or county festival going on every weekend. The kayakers are on the rivers and lakes. The cyclists are on the roads. The horses are saddled up. The golfers are yelling 'fore!'

FALL Season: the evenings are cooler, the campfires are blazing and the harvest is coming off the farm. Mountain bike from the top of the ski runs, or just ride the lift and enjoy the fall foliage. Foliage runs mid September through mid Oct.

WINTER Season: the leaves are down and the mountains are still the best place to be. Skiing, snowshoeing, cross-country, tubing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing can keep you busy. Come March, watch local farmers tap trees and make maple syrup gold.

Cozy and peaceful!
We loved our stay and only wish we’d booked for longer. The home is very well appointed with comfortable furnishings and many thoughtful touches. Everything was in great working order. It’s in a quiet spot and we enjoyed going out for paddles on the little lake. Truly a gem.

A country paradise!
My family of 3 stayed at this lovely lake side lodge a few weeks ago. What a lovely getaway! We had great times indoors and out in morning and night. The grounds were very private and expansive with few neighbors except the morning deer, beavers and hummingbirds. The house was fully equipped with all the modern amenties as well. Top shelf; we'll be back!

Overlooking the huge backyard extending into the private lake through the boat deck, this is a wonderful place for us to enjoy the calm, the fun on the water, and the barbeque at night. This cabin is clean and cozy, with more than enough supplies. The rooms were well-decorated (even with freshly picked flowers) and some other interesting pieces.

Beautiful setting
The house was lovely, with everything we needed. The setting was the best part, though. The lake was isolated, quiet, and beautiful at every time of day. We saw lots of birds, fish jumping in the water, and during one morning paddle in the kayak, a beaver! We swam off the dock and used the paddle boat and kayaks, and there was also a rowboat and floats for our use. We loved the outdoor shower. The owner was very responsive - we appreciated his help with our questions very much. We highly recommend spending some peaceful time at this beautiful place!

My family spent a long weekend in the cabin. The cabin has a very nice lake view either from living room or outside. We had a lot of fun activities here, Boating, walking. Whole family like this place. We do want to come back again.

Perfect getaway
Great communication by owner, Ivan, and manager, John. Lovely property. Kayaks enabled us to explore the lake. Even saw a bald eagle looking for fish! The row boat was difficult to maneuver, as there were no cleats to hold the oars, and the paddle boat is missing a rudder, so we took turns on the kayaks. Two great mediation sites: end of dock & red bench at end of little trail lakeside. Very glad to have been given so many recommendations of local fare & hiking trails - thank you! The cabin is a fun mix of rustic with some quirky decor items. I admit I was expecting better fixtures & finishes based on the listing title “by NYC designer.” Nonetheless, this charming cabin served our purpose of a change of scenery very well. Ivan has created a beautiful, quiet space, filled with all manner of creature comforts. John was so kind to check in on us periodically to make sure things were going well. I highly recommend this place & wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Time at Green Acres
My sisters and I spent 3 days here. We had alot of memory sharing In a clean, wonderful and comfortable cabin. There is an amazing view of the lake and a back porch to sit on to enjoy it. We sisters have been on a "retreat" before but this is the place we want to return to. It is beautiful!!

Great weekend! The house, view and property are great - even better than we expected from the photos. We spent most of our time kayaking on the lake and grilling delicious meals. A relaxing getaway from the city with lakeside serenity.

This house has everything you need. Seclusion, a beautiful lake, beautiful view, kayaks and bikes. Aside from a hike one day, we never left this amazing place.

Perfect Mountain getaway!
The house is exactly as advertised in the listing! All the rooms are quite spacious, and the decor is exactly what you would expect from a rustic / modern home in the woods. Me and my family greatly enjoyed our time there and would certainly visit again if the opportunity arose. There's lots of places to check out near by, and the town itself has plenty of fun shops and resturants to visit.

Cozy, safe, clean, and everything you are looking for in that cabin experience!
A group of us stayed at this cabin for Thanksgiving weekend and we had such a wonderful time! The fireplace kept the place warm during the chilling winter and we enjoyed our Thanksgiving meal there. We loved the common living room space with the kitchen and the bedrooms were all super cozy (and clean!) Only downside was that the lake was frozen over so we definitely plan to go in the summertime to take advantage of it. Can't wait to go again! This place is a must!

Beautiful lakeside getaway
We had an amazing stay at Ivan's lakeside cabin. It was charming, clean and comfortable. It is the perfect weekend escape to nature. The house itself is lovely and beautifully decorated. We loved having slippers waiting for us by the door and appreciated having coffee, tea, an a other essentials in the kitchen. We would love to stay here again!

Great house
We had a wonderful weekend with the family at this house. It is not your average rental property, there is an assortment of funky and cool light fixtures and a couch covered with pillows that my sister-in-law and I coveted our entire stay. We were a little disappointed that we couldn't swim in the lake, but not enough to give less than 5 stars! The lake was great for paddling around was a great backdrop for a nice relaxing weekend. Really, a wonderful place. We want to come back in the winter, thinking it will be a beautiful and peaceful place in the snow!

Peaceful getaway
We had a phenomenal stay at the cabin. We spent 4 days relaxing with our 6 year old and grandparents. We made good use of the boats to paddle around the private lake; it was one of our daughters favorite things to do. Being able to dine indoors or out was great, as was the gas grill for cooking corn-on-the-cob bought from the store in town. The property is quiet, spacious, and relaxing. The owner and manager were terrific to work with. And little things like the grocery store discount card on the house key, the nightlights throughout the cabin, and the labelled light switches were very nice.

Peaceful & serene.
We arrived to a quaint and tastefully decorated cabin on a tranquil lake. With a large farm table and all the necessary kitchen equipment (and BBQ replete with seating and a sunshade) we prepped and enjoyed meals cooked with veggies, raw cheeses and pastured meat from the local places we visited. . We spent hours on the lake - lounging in the dockside Adirondacks chairs or on the kayaks, paddle boat and rowboat. We played lawn games and relaxed in the hammock. It was better than we expected as the owner and property manager (thanks Holly!) do a great job of creating a welcoming and inviting space to gather with friends and family. We would highly recommend this as a getaway place!!!!

Just Perfect!
Such a great getaway! Beautiful and clean house; nice layout and well decorated. Our kids had such a fun time, the paddle boat, huge covered porch facing the lake - so many highlights of the house, hard to describe them all. Upon departure the kids started to cry because they did not want to leave. Would also make a great couples escape as the house is decorated so well. Don't hesitate to book this one!

Lovely winter retreat
We booked a New Years Eve getaway at Ivan's property, what a lovely property! We had a wonderful time, the cabin was incredibly cozy and inviting, gorgeously decorated. Would enjoy seeing this beautiful area in all seasons! Thanks for the rapid response rate and hospitality!
