"This property is exactly as advertised. It is a A frame in the woods with no bells and whistles. If you want to get away from your busy life this is the place to go. There is a small pond directly in front of the house with many frogs and salamanders, didn't seem to be any fish. The fire pit is right next to the pond and has a grill that we used to cook over a wood fire. It was nice to get away from phone calls and emails for a weekend."

Went to see the stars

Nice location for star gazing, not the best for a family trip due to cleanliness. There were dead mice that we had to find due to the awful smell. Couldn’t find them all so the smell was there the entire time.

Wonderful time away from the city! Perfectly cozy cabin, no issues at all! It rained on our trip, which made it even better and cozier tbh! 10/10 already have friends wanting to know the spot. Reminds me of growing up with VHS and card games. No service or wifi, just vibes. Host was so nice, and answers very quickly.

Nice getaway cabin

Nice rustic cabin to get away from it all. No wifi or phone service, so you're forced to unwind, which is what we needed. The queen mattress was too soft for our liking downstairs, but other than that a lovely, rustic place.

Weekend Getaway Under the Stars

We enjoyed beautiful weather and clear nights to take in the countryside and nighttime stars. This place is cozy and pleasantly disconnected from the internet with lots of outdoor space to read and relax. The house itself is as advertised - not fancy, but perfectly comfortable and well equipped.

Unplugged family time in a classic cabin.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish! The cabin is rustic and exactly as you’d expect a camping cabin to be, no frills, all necessities, and a quiet escape from the noise of daily life. Everything you *need* is there. There is plenty of bed space but note that the bunk-bed does not have railings. There are plenty of porches and outside seating around the campfire area. We cooked all of our food over the fire while we were there, there is a grate to cook over the fire but we brought our own mountain pie makers and marshmallow sticks to cook with. Inside is an escape to a simpler time, the living room was cozy with a wood stove and comfortable seating. It has plenty of movies and dvds or games if you’d like but we spent so much time exploring that we didn’t even think of it! The bathroom was a little musty but clean. It wasn’t bothersome or a hinderance in any way but the only reason we gave 4/5 stars. We’ve had the same issue with our basement bathroom and use “Damp-Rid” to help absorb moisture. Our son enjoyed catching newts and frogs around the pond but there doesn’t seem to be any fish. There is plenty of local information in the cabin but a list of local attractions/directions to close areas would be nice due to the extremely limited service in spots. We visited Coudersport where we saw the ice mine, played mini golf at the best place we have ever been, and snuck in a quick McDonalds trip and ice cream/snacks at the Jiffy Pup Restaurant.

A Wonderful Cabin Getaway

We chose this property because of the style of cabin and its proximity to Cherry Springs Park. The cabin has all the basics you’d expect from a rental property (temperature control, working kitchen, etc.). We went during winter and it was a nice time to just enjoy the woods and star gaze. The wood burning stove was also nice for heat and atmosphere. There is truly no cell reception on the property, so be sure to download your map and any other streaming content, if necessary. We enjoyed our time there and would definitely be interested in visiting again!

Anniversary weekend

We had a wonderful weekend getaway even though the weather didn’t cooperate for foliage or starry nights. Great dinner at Mama’s BBQ!!! Only negative from our standpoint was the downstairs bed where we slept. It was too soft and not comfortable but that might just be our preference.

Beautiful Home, Beautiful Setting

Such a great place to "get away from it all" and have a taste of old-fashioned "cabin in the woods" living with no cell service and a working woodstove. The erie silence at night was amazing. Unfortunately we only had one clear night to see the stars, and it was the same spectacular views you would get at Cherry Springs State Park. I only put 4 stars for communication with property manager because since there is no cell service, should an emergency arise, one would have to drive at least 15 minutes north to the closest local market to get any cell service to contact the manager. Would definitely come back though.

Quiet and cute

I loved this place and so did my dogs. It was the perfect getaway from reality. The property is nice and big and so is the house. Lots of room! Couple things to mention (not bad things, just good to know): -there’s a weird puppet in the window of the garage. You get used to it but it scared me a couple times. -the last guest did leave a bag of garbage -the main bed downstairs mattress is very broken in. You’ll slide to the middle since it dips -the closest grocery store is about 20 minutes away. -cherry springs state park is an hour away (not as close as I had hoped) -no service, this includes Verizon My only critique: -not as secluded as I had hoped. There are three other properties on the road and there were trucks coming up and down the road. The neighbor down the hill had their floodlights on the whole night. It was quiet which was great, but I was hoping to be completely away from people. Overall, I’d go back and highly recommend still.

Heaven in the Stars

I can't say enough great things about this weekend! The property was exactly like the listing. Very rustic and cozy. We were blessed to have amazing weather and the Stargazing was amazing from this property! I've never seen so many stars! The entire reason for this trip. The property manager, Pam, was very responsive and check-in couldn't have been easier. We are already planning another trip to this property. Absolutely loved it!
