COME STAY with us, right before the full season begins for a long weekend or a week in June. Reserve your vacation week in this open floor plan with new kitchen with granite and stainless steel appliances, new hardwood flooring, new bathrooms, decks, and much more. The main floor has 4BR and 2BA. The home also has a brand new lower level that has a 1BR, 1BA unit that is perfect for kids,or a second couple. Sea Del is a private North Bethany Beach community within biking distance to the shops and restaurants of Bethany Beach. This home is just steps to the beach, with no roads to cross to walk to the ocean! Take advantage of water sports and golf close by. The Delaware coastline has something for everyone.

A little worn

The house was in a great community and the proximity to the beach was great. The house itself is a bit well worn. The one bathroom with a tub had sand in it when we checked in and the drain wasn’t working very well. The downstairs suite was nice but had a number of extra little insects sharing the space and definitely had a dampness to it. The outdoor shower also could use some TLC and bug spraying. The kitchen cookware could use some updating, especially the pots and pans. The kitchen did have a nice coffee maker and the appliances overall were in good shape. Ultimately, it was a decent property for our family to start our annual beach vacations at Bethany, but we’d probably look for something a little more updated going forward.

Our second stay

Was as nice as our visit last season. This is a perfect house for a family beach week. Plenty of room and a short walk to a beautiful, wide and uncrowded beach. See you next year.

Our Family Beach Week 2023

Over all our stay was wonderful. The community was among if not the most satisfying ever. The home it self was very accommodating. There was a few hiccups ,1. The front door entry lock wasn't functioning properly. 2. Multiple electrical outlets were scary loose. 3. Multiple TV's weren't performing up to par or at all.

Bethany Beach Getaway

The house had plenty of room for my family of 4, actually we didn’t use the downstairs apt or guest bedroom at all (there was a strong musty smell to it though we did notice). I would say the house overall was adequate, but could use a little TLC. It was clean and provided all the basics and worked great for our first time in Bethany, though. We didn’t use the outdoor space at all because it felt a little too much like a campground. Maybe if there were a group of people it would’ve worked better, but just not for us. The living space was nice and spacious and we did love the newly renovated screened in porch and used it quite a bit. My only complaint was that it was so loud to sit outside. There really wasn’t a quiet place to relax. Again, maybe if we were a bigger group you wouldn’t notice it as much. The proximity to the beach was perfect (a short 5 minute walk) though and the neighborhood was beautiful! We loved using the big wagon and all the chairs and umbrellas provided. It was easy to get to the beach. I wish we could’ve walked or biked to the boardwalk (a little too far to walk and the highway was too dangerous imo for kids to bike on) but the short drive was easy enough and proximity to Rehobeth all the way to OC, MD was great. We had just one issue with the door lock and Lance was extremely responsive and solved our problem immediately. We had a great first trip to Bethany Beach!

A nice house and a great beach

We had four generations with 12 adults and five young children, the house support our visit very well. The owner was very responsive and great to deal with. It’s a short walk to the beach. No beach crowds. Although next to Highway 1, the only room with traffic noise was the sunroom in the back of the house, all windows. We really enjoyed our stay and would rent it again.

Great place to spend family vacation

We had a wonderful weekend at the beach house. It was suited for everyone ranging from 15 mos- 82 yrs. I stayed in the downstairs suite, and enjoyed the few moments to steal some quiet time. The house was clean, and the hospitality was top notch. We will rent again!

A great week at a wonderful beach house

This property has everything you need for a great vacation in Bethany Beach. Plenty of room, a well equipped kithchen, spacious screened-in outdoor areas and lots of beach equipment for the short walk to a beautiful uncrowded beach. Our host Lance quickly responded to our questions and was very helpful. A perfect place for a family vacation.

Family Time

Perfect!

We loved this beach house- just a quick walk up the ramp to the private and minimally populated beach! This home provided numerous indoor and outdoor small and large spaces to gather or separate. The screened porch with comfy furniture was always in use The numerous umbrellas, chairs and coolers, plus the exceptional gorilla pull wagon to tote it all, made for easy beach runs. Leaving your gear for a few hours break back to the house was no issue in this private gated community. A great place with a responsive host!

Great Beach House

We enjoyed our stay! The house was in a great location. We enjoyed the outdoor screened in deck. Plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas and a wagon to pull everything to the beach. Owner was quick to respond when contacted.

Wonderful beach and location

We loved the quiet, clean beaches as well as quiet, small development. Our 2 young grandchildren were with us and it was very easy to get to the beach. The house is very comfortable and nicely decorated with lots of covered and open porch space that we enjoyed. There were a few minor maintenance issues; the owner was very responsive to our calls and had service arranged quickly.

Family fun celebrating birthdays - ages 75 and just one-year-old

Three generations thoroughly enjoyed our 10-day stay at Lance's Bethany Beach property. It was, as described, an easy walk to the beach, and in a well-appointed small community (with excellent landscaping). While it was not quite as large as I'd imagined, the photos were all accurate as was the description. And it accommodated all of us very comfortably. [The downstairs "suite" was perfect for our son and his family, but there is no inside access to that lower level] As earlier reviews have noted, it backs up to Route 1, the Coastal Hwy, so we expected traffic noise, but we quickly adapted to it as if it were *white noise* - The newly screened in side porch (away from hwy-side) was our favorite place to hang out - together or, occasionally, individually. We made many trips to Hocker's (grocery & more), 1.7 miles inland, 7 minute drive. Funland (in Rehoboth) is still the same - 60 years after opening, and just the same as our son remembered from his last visit there 25 years ago. Great to introduce a new generation to the low-key FUN there on a rainy morning. Lance was very responsive when at first I was unable to connect to wifi (it was my problem - browser on laptop) Otherwise, we had no reason to contact him.

Wonderful stay at Bethany!

Our family had a great stay at Bethany. The private beach had lots of space and other families that were a joy to meet. The house was clean and as advertised. A little noisy outside in the evening due to proximity to the road, but not unbearable. Overall we had a memorable vacation and would return in a heartbeat. The owner was responsive and provided detailed instruction and recommended good spots for dining and shopping etc.

Good Week

The house worked well for our group of 14. Nice neighborhood with easy access to the beach and particularly over the dune for the grandparents. The community tennis court was perfect for family tennis matches (pickleball too). Highway noise was not an issue inside the house. We opted to use air mattresses instead of the sleeper sofas. We would rent the house again.

Relaxing vacation

Overall experience was good but as it's next to the highway it's very noisy especially during the night time. Once things which could be improved is putting extra bath supplies like bath tissues .

Wonderful September Family Beach Trip!

We stayed at this cottage the last week of September with our two small children. We were looking for a getaway during COVID and this was the perfect spot. The house is located in a private beach access neighborhood. It is a short walk and they have a wagon to haul everything. We had so much space on the beach- sometimes it seemed like the only people even on the beach! The neighborhood was clean, safe and had a very small playground ( but enough to keep my kids entertained between activities). The house itself was more than enough space for us. We loved the open space in the kitchen, living room, dining room. We could make dinner while the children played. There was also a screened in porch which was a wonderful spot to have the children read and play for a change of scenery. The house has everything we needed in the kitchen, bedroom and laundry room ( but you do bring your own linens!) As other reviews mentioned the knives are not that sharp but it didn't bother us. Cons: As other reviews mentioned, the traffic is very loud ( this cottage is right near a highway), but we knew this going in and it was no problem on the owners part. We are from the city originally so we brought our sound machines for the children ( they slept pretty good) and I used my phone for white noise. There are also a lot of spiders and bugs on the porches and underneath the house (by the hammocks, etc.) Again this is no problem on the owners part...it is a beach town near shrubbery so it is just part of the deal! Lastly we did not even use the basement apartment so can't speak on the musk others spoke of. We had a wonderful week! Gorgeous weather, lots of space for our family and easy access to playgrounds (John west is 5-10 mins down the road & great!!)

Lance & House Rocks!

My family and I went to celebrate my graduation and could not have had a better time! Lance is the best! He responded immediately....He was very helpful and accommodating! When we walked in the house it felt like home. We had everything we needed. The outside spaces were great! The wrap around deck was a treat! The downstairs suite was also a wonderful addition to the house. The beach in walking distance was amazing! My family and I were completely satisfied!

Cleanliness not a concern?

The pictures of the beach house did not match what we walked into. The kitchen cabinets had to be cleaned before putting our food in them. The floors were dirty by evidence of our 7 month old granddaughter crawling on them. The showers floors had not been cleaned..mildew in the corners. The lower living room, bedroom had a horrific moldy musty smell that was covered up by strong chemicals. I was embarrassed to have my son daughter in law stay down there. The house was on Route 1 hugh mistake on us the traffic noise all day/night did not make for good sleeping. And it was bike week in OC our mistake for not knowing that. If you are a family wanting a quite clean environment this is not the house for you. Very disappointed!
