Located in Civano neighborhood, this place is so functional and light. Great access to the National Park and mountain bike trails to the east. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. There is abundant space at this property. Owners are wonderful and responsive.
Positives:
1. Near to Saguaro National Park East and wonderful hiking trails.
2. Rental was very clean.
3. Kitchen better outfitted than most Vrbo homes we have stayed at; good working spaces but could have used another set of dishes.
5. Good water pressure.
6. Large laundry room with utility sink.
Cons:
1. Initially lacked hot water to upstairs shower as host had turned pump off to save motor from burning out. He turned it on for 20 hours a day and we had hot water during those hours.
2. Upstairs shower was tiny, something like 3 feet wide by 20-24 inches deep with water control fixture sticking out from longer wall, effectively making area less than 20-24 inches deep. That created a problem. I kept bumping into control lever and making water go cold or hot depending on direction I turned.
3. Downstairs shower was in soaking tub too deep for my 95 year old mother to get in and out of and she couldn’t climb the 17 steps to get to upstairs shower. She went w/o shower or bath 5 days until arranged for her to shower offsite.
4. Small upstairs “bedroom” had no closet. No dresser drawers in any bedroom.
5. Metal stairs to upstairs clanged, shook and rattled, waking up person in downstairs bedroom. I found them slippery and almost fell once when foot slipped but grabbed handrail in time.
6. Furniture in living/dining area uncomfortable, sparse and appeared cheap.
7. Unable to balance temperature. Either too cold in living area or too warm in bedroom.
I will run out of space before I can do justice to the review for this spotlessly, clean, modern, beautiful home. it is so stylish with an industrial design. Jennifer and John are just fabulous hosts. I communicated with Jennifer throughout my stay and she was always responsive and lovely. My husband and I can’t wait to stay in this house again. It was a peaceful escape over a very busy and intense week in Tucson.
Everything about John and Jennifers home was better than we could’ve expected. The home is beautiful and spacious. It was perfect for two couples to have separate space but also have communal space for cooking and eating. The beds were super comfortable. The three outdoor spaces were a bonus. The pool is close by. There was great attention to detail in providing a fabulous getaway home for our two weeks in Tucson.
I enjoyed my stay here more than many other VRBOs. Jennifer and John really know how to create a relaxing stay, we didn't have to do much and just enjoyed the house. The stay includes many amenities like a pool, tennis course and bicycles to go in the surrounding nature paths. The home itself is very well furnished, comfortable beds, ample spaces to relax, great kitchen and outdoor patios, not to mention the beauty of the decor and architecture. I highly recommend this home.
We loved our stay at Rincon! Comfortable and chic space.
Hosts were very accommodating. I love it when a space and host plays attention to the small details. We’ll be back this winter!

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Neuser
Hi All!
I'm Jennifer - Originally from Wisconsin, I have been a Tucson resident for almost 30 years. My husband John and I found our forever home in the desert from day one back in the 90s, and never looked back.
With two daughters, three chihuahuas, one 20-year-established Tucson ballet academy and one US Air Force military career already our family history, we are thrilled to now create and host an amazing destination experience for the guests who come to enjoy the power of an Arizona retreat.
Come on in, we'll show you how we do things in the Old Pueblo. See you soon!
Why they chose this property
Rincon House is a sleek jewel in the desert and a show-stopping modern home in our picturesque neighborhood on the East Side of Tucson. We took care to design this home with our guests comfort and inspiration in mind - Every inch is an inspiration to relax and enjoy the easy pace of an Arizona vacation or work-away trip.
What makes this property unique
Our resort-style neighborhood amenities are available to you year round. We have two pools, a tennis/pickleball court, neighborhood parks, a community garden and miles of desert- and mountain-view hiking trails. Saguaro National Park and its surrounding Rincon and Catalina Mountains are the backdrop to your visit, and nearby local restaurants serve the best in Sonoran cuisine. Want to make use of your cook's kitchen? Prepare for a day trip adventure? It's quick jaunt for groceries and all the services you need to make your planning easy.
We are located in big sky country - Open roads are everywhere in our corner of Tucson. Bike and walking trails are popular for recreation here, but getting from point A to B is still best done by car ....or motorcycle (or all-terrain Jeep)! Need an Uber or the bus? No problem. Uber and Lyft drivers abound in Tucson, and our place sits on the city bus line with a stop just a couple blocks away to whisk you to all city points west.
