Come to kick back, relax, have family fun at our cabin!
Tall Hill Lake House is a cozy chalet, nestled in the Poconos Lakes Region, minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack and the quaint towns of Hawley and Honesdale. The chalet is located in a gated community, well balanced between woods isolation and plenty of amenities for all seasons. The Lake and North Beach are less than a 5 minute walk, and you have access to heated swimming pools, golf course, tennis, basketball, pickleball, gym, skiing, tubing and more!
Within a 5-7 minute drive you can reach the following, in the Hideout Community:
- Main Beach (with boat rentals), pool, and seasonal Tiki Bar.
- The Ski Hill, open seasonally, weather permitting, in the winter.
-The Nubia Art Center is perfect to paint your own pottery or experiment other forms of art.
-A 9-hole golf course
- ClubHouse, which offers a Bar and gourmet Restaurant near the golf course
-The Rec Center which has a gym, library, indoor courts for tennis and pickleball, ping pong and arcade.
-The North Pool
-Mini golf
-A 2.7 mile nature walking trail
Please note: Some amenities have additional fees and are subject to availability by the Community. Discounts or refunds not applicable due to any amenity closure, including lake usage. Lakes are drawn down Mid-October to May.
There will be a registration form required to be filled out at least 3 days prior to your arrival for gate access. All drivers must show a valid drivers license and valid vehicle registration upon check in. No more than 3 unrelated adults/households are allowed. There are no exceptions to this community requirement.
All garbage, food and drinks need to be removed from the house upon departure. There is a central trash facility for all owners and guests to use located within a 2 minute drive from the house. Trash is not picked up at the house and cannot be left at the house upon departure. Do not leave any trash outside at any time. Trash facility hours are posted within the Welcome Guide at the house.
Community can close any amenity at their discretion, including lake usage. Homeowner is not responsible for this and will not offer discounts or refunds for any closure, including weather related closures.

Lisa and Alessandro use VRBO or similar short term rentals every time we go on vacation. We love to have the spaces to ourselves, and to enjoy the care that people put on their property to give guests the best experience possible.
Why they chose this property
Tall Hill Lake House is in a beautiful natural area in the Poconos. The house has plenty of space and is secluded enough, within the private Community it belongs to, the Hideout. We love the water activities in the Lakes, hiking the beautiful trails, and visiting the small towns of Hawley and Honesdale, together with the more city-like experience in Scranton. If you are a fan of the Office, a visit there is a must.
What makes this property unique
Our lovely guests appreciate how the house is on three floors, and each have a living/gathering area, so there is enough room to stay all together in the living room on the main floor, and space if somebody needs me-time upstairs or downstairs.
There are plenty of amenities within the Community, and guests have access to most of them, some for a fee. Check with the Hideout Office for rules and availability.
