We had a great family weekend, cooking breakfast, roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. The game room downstairs was fun and entertaining with the grandkids and overall we had a wonderful time! Great proximity to Lake Whitney and the State Park.

This property was amazing! The hosts decorated the house for Christmas and it was so very much a home. The three levels were perfect with places to be together and places to be apart! The firepit was wonderful for family time! The neighboring homes are not in great shape, but I felt safe and secure on the property!

We had a great time staying in this property, it was able to accommodate everyone nicely. It was a nice clean property, and the check-in process was simple. However the neighborhood was a little concerning for safety and the property is severely lacking in parking for the amount of people who can stay at this property. No more than 2 cars can really park here comfortably.

This house was absolutely amazing. They put a lot of thought into every detail! It was very clean, well equipped, and had several things to do! We are a big family ranging from ages 5-40 and every single one of us enjoyed the house. None of us had even one critique. We can not wait to book again!

Quiet beautiful getaway
Family of 10 including spouses and grandkids - more than enough room, didn't even use one bedroom! Beautiful 3 level house with a country comfy feel and ample outdoor areas to relax at. Slight issue with A/C but host stayed in contact trying to alleviate. Even my 30+ yr old "city girl" daughter loved Moontown & it's country charm!

A memorable week in a Lake Whitney guest home
It’s clear how much thought, care and effort the owners have put into creating a memorable retreat. It was so very clean when the ten of us arrived. There are many enjoyable sitting areas inside and out. The weather was very good. We used the grill and ate meals outside, enjoying the temperatures, the lack of humidity, the sunsets and the pleasant lights. Indoors, the home is filled up, pressed down and running over with vacation-style comfort: all kinds of cozy pillows, blankets and home decor. An AC on all three floors. Three-quarter or full baths on all three floors, with plenty of hot water. The men took full advantage of the pool table, fuss-ball, poker and horseshoes. We used the TV monitor to sing along to Texas songs and play movies from remote devices. With ten people, the kitchen and laundry room both got a work-out. They're both pleasant to work in. There was so much to do that we didn't even get to the board game room with the gorgeous views.

Great nice place
Had a weekend with my 2 brothers and dad. Goal was to get away and just relax and play games. And we did. Very nice place. Well kept up. Lots of room. Very nice area outside. The water pressure is great. The beds are comfy. The amenities are nice. Pool table, hockey, and more. Our favorite places were there fire pit and the game room downstairs. Love the decorations outside. Also the hosts were FANTASTIC! Small cons: The area leading into the place looks sketchy but the people we came across were very nice. Downstairs in the gameroom is a step up that we kept tripping on. It's not obvious because it matches the floor. The pool sticks are all missing tips and need new tips. So a little difficult to play pool. (But we aren't experts either) Thank you for a great place!

Moontower Too was a fun adventure for our family. Debbie and Bobby were very helpful and great hosts. The house was super clean and very inviting. Grandkids loved the game room, and fire pit for roasting hotdogs and making s’mores. We would visit again.

Outstanding property, exactly as advertised. Secluded area. Meticulously designed. I can’t imagine a better getaway house near Lake Whitney. Everything a family or friends could want. Many fun outdoor and indoor activities. Very comfortable beds. Welcome snacks. And much much more! Immaculate. Everything you need for upkeep. Everything you need for cooking. Cozy nooks everywhere, with blankets and pillows. Board games. Outdoors, many seating areas with lovely lighting at night. Beautifully landscaped.

Great place to gather with grown kids and grandkids
Bob was a great host and very accommodating! If it had not been over 100 degrees every day, we would have spent a lot more time outside on all the fantastic decks and porches (and even tried to play outdoor games). The home was clean, well-stocked with everything we could have asked for. He was kind enough to ship us an item we accidentally left. The location is a few miles from McCowan Valley park, which had a nice beach and castle-theme playground for the grandkids.
