Booked this hideaway for a few days for a kayak tournament on the Whitefish Chain of lakes.
Great secluded area with amazing amenities. It was a great option especially with some kayak trailers in tow. The extra long driveway and garage space was much appreciated.
Extremely responsive and friendly host. Highly recommended and would stay again.

Amazing stay! everything was exactly as described. Cabins were clean, well stocked, and the beds were really comfy. Tons of outdoor space that was well maintained. Communication was clear, made the trip easy to manage. Would absolutely stay again and recommend!

We were up in the lake country for a wedding and didn't want to tent camp. This property was cozy and private and just perfect for our group. It was two sets of parents enjoying a weekend without kids and their property helped us relax. We would stay again for sure.
We had a really nice stay at this property. Less than 10 minutes from the Big Trout boat ramp and Manhattan beach. This is a private acreage with lots of wide open spaces for the kiddos to run around. Main cabin is small, but more than adequate for our family with younger children. The man cave garage is fantastic! We had a fun picnic out there, and a bon fire. Firewood was provided. We would stay here again.
the place was beautiful overall. Would have liked some type of rails on the steps outside and the step down to the bathroom in the bunkhouse but we made some temporary adjustments and it all worked out!Loved the quietness and the wildlife! It is a great place for younger generations!!
This property was even better than the pictures showed. It was a great setup for our family get together. It allowed us to bring a camper for those who had it and had comfortable and clean cabins for those who didn’t. Beautiful property with walking trails and a great garage that we used for eating together. Everything we needed was there, we would definitely recommend this property you will not be disappointed.
Another plus - this property is close to many lakes. We found a perfect lake only miles from the cabin that had great fishing and perfect swimming beach.

About the host

As a young family our lifestyle is busy. Busy doing work, busy raising littles, busy running business and the list goes on and on. We decided to find a place where we could escape to a peaceful hideaway to enjoy making memories with our boys. A place that has the comforts of home, but away from home so we could refresh and recharge. In these last few months our cabin in the North Woods has brought us joy, laughter and a retreat in nature, just what our family needed. We love it so much we want to share it with others. We have listed our cozy little cabins for vacation rental so other families could enjoy it too.
Why they chose this property
Some of my favorite things about this property are: 🥾 short hiking trails on site, especially the one that leads to a beautiful trickling creek 🔥 a large bonfire pit the a large group of family and friends can gather around and enjoy some s’mores 🌲 the whistle of the wind through the pines 🍦 the ice cream shop in near by, Cross Lake ⚾️ the huge yard that my boys love playing baseball in 🪵 heavily wooded that feels like a true hideaway We found a retreat from our busy lives where we could just escape for the weekend or maybe even a full week and just be in nature loving life and making memories.
What makes this property unique
As outdoor enthusiasts we found this to be the perfect location for adventures in all of Minnesota's seasons: ✅ ATV & Snowmobile trails near by ✅ Lake, River or Creek (really we were looking for some form of water & lucky we got all 3) ✅ Hiking trails near by ✅ Public beach near by for swimming ✅ Near by lake access for Ice Fishing ✅ Acreage for seclusion and hunting ✅ Tall timber (for the true up north feel)
