This Pacific Northwest retreat is calling your name! Perfect for a family escapade, you'll find this three-level, three-bedroom home offers beautiful views of Lake Whatcom. You'll love being a seven-minute walk from an AM/PM beach, and there are swimming pools, a fitness center, and a golf course nearby.

The second level features the kitchen, living room, and dining area, which will seat the entire family comfortably. The well-equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a tile backsplash, and all the counter space you'll need to whip up a mouth-watering meal. The dining table has seating for six and the deck is a great space for an alfresco meal via the gas grill or just for enjoying the fresh air while catching up with old friends.

After a delicious feast, turn on the TV and snuggle up on the sofa for an entertaining movie night. You can also sit quietly in the adjacent study to finish that riveting novel while the kids play upstairs in the loft with all the children's toys available to keep them entertained.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great spot but poor communication from property management

The house is nice, updated, and roomy for our large group. We booked the trip for a relaxed friends getaway 50th birthday party in January. We chose this spot because of the hot tub on the premises.Unfortunately, the hot tub broke a few days after we booked. If Vacasa, (the company that manages the property) had let us know, we could have easily rebooked to another location prior to the trip, but this was never communicated. Upon arriving and confirming with Vacasa that the hot tub was broken, we asked if they could reimburse us a portion of the rental. They did eventually reimburse us for 49 (of a 1300 3 night stay), but it took several text chats with anonymous representatives who typically answer that they will have to check and get back to you. At one point I got a string of automated text responses that made no sense. There were other minor complaints (a lack of paper towels or napkins, the stove is an induction cooktop and some of the burners seem to turn off frequently). These were really not a big deal but I note them since I'm writing a review. Overall, nice place in a good location, but poor experience with Vacasa.

Great holiday retreat

Great location and very quiet. Easy access to I5 and Bellingham and other points of interest. Having a quality propane grill and an induction stove helped make our holiday meal very easy. If kids are around, the house has lots to entertain them.

Wonderful Place

The house was easy to find, clean, well appointed, and truly lovely. We enjoyed our stay because the beds were comfy, the living room cozy, and the hot tub great. I highly recommend this home in the idyllic Sudden Valley woods.

Great property

Great property! There were no instructions on operating the hot tub that we could find. Hot tub took a long time to get hot. Would have been nice if it was turned on prior to our arrival. Had a great time none the less.

Family hangout

A great place for us to stay, adult married children stayed with us. Everything was perfect except the price was high. The nightly rate was fine but all the “fees” are ridiculous.

Lovely TreeHouse by the lake

Our family rents a place yearly for Thanksgiving. The TreeHouse was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed - the kitchen is impressively stocked. Each room has it's own thermostat for comfort as well. Great shower pressure, too. The house is in a great area - near to many attractions. Highly recommend the TreeHouse. Praise also to Vacasa - they responded quickly to our inquiries or needs.

Beautiful Area

The house was cozy yet spacious. The hot tub is amazing and the views on the back porch are excellent. You can see the lake in a few spots. The house has lots of windows which provides great light. The kitchen has a nice selection of items and tools. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Looking for relaxation

The Treehouse is perfect for recharging. We were lulled to sleep each night with the beautiful sound of rain. Inhaling the delicious fresh air surrounding us. Perfectly stocked kitchen. It is a wonderful property. If you are undecided, go for it. You will be so glad you did. Can’t wait to come back.
