Wonderful location
It is an older home that could use some loving, but it has everything you need. A bigger coffee pot would be nice. You can't beat the location and the beach, which is the most important thing! We all loved the it. I would definitely recommend the house if you are more concerned about the location and beauty than the interior.

Relax and enjoy
The property was everything we needed it to be. We had 8 adult's and it was tight but not too tight. We spent most of our time at and around the creek fishing, watching and reading. Snorkeling and kayaking right off the porch. Stopped at Maxwells’s Grocery Store in Marsh Harbor and ate most meals in. A larger grill would really be nice. Cannot really use existing grill. John, the property manager is a gem and is a wealth of knowledge and just plain interesting. We had a great time and will be back.

Beautiful Cay
What can I say, absolutely beautiful location. lovely beach and so private. The cottage is charming family cottage. Fresh linens and towels. The lounge chairs with the gazebo were a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee. The kayaks were great to explore the cove. We sighted some sting rays and a few very quick turtles. Recommend a car. And we enjoyed exploring the cove in the small dinghy we rented.

Diamond in the ruff
This property was just as pictured. Our own little slice of paradise. It is an older home, but well maintained. We basically had our own private beach and the kayaks that were provided allowed us to explore a little further out and into the marsh. We will definitely be back. Keep in mind this place is for someone who wants to completely unplug, nothing to do but go to the grocery store, a few restaurants and coffee shops, catch the ferry over to Hope Town to the lighthouse, relax on the beach with a good book or kayak. We did not meet anyone who wasn’t super nice and friendly. Thanks so much for this much needed unplug for me and my family.

Casa Retreat stay
Case Retreat is a great place to stay if you're looking for peace and quiet, the beach, and some down time. It was very comfortable and had all the amenities you would need to have fun, stay connected, and be comfortable. Communication with the owner and car rental was easy, they were both quick to respond to questions and requests. I would definitely stay here again.

Old Beachfront Fishing Cottage
Pros, the view after cleaning windows. 15 seconds to the beach, privacy, fully equipped with fishing rods, masks, liquor, condiments, linens and much more. Cons, garbage along entire beach, dilapidated structure needs cosmetics, no grill, living room tiles can be dangerous(just laying on floor with sand underneath). Picnic table seat too close to table. Electricity goes off now and then. People turn around at the end of the road its on randomly. But would still stay there again. Also, 1st story smells like moth balls bad!

Why they chose this property

We love this beach house and enjoy doing upgrades and improvements.

What makes this property unique

The house is one of the older ones on the beach, but lovingly maintained. The property next door was once a cultural park, now going 'back to nature' where wild peacocks roam. Casuarina Point offers some of the finest bone fishing. The beach is also child-friendly. There is a long sand bar that extends across the sound at low tide, for wading and finding sand dollars. The sea turtles are thriving, and the crystal waters are studded with star fish. At night, the stars are breathtaking. My favorite thing to do is walk the beach to watch the sunrise and find the gifts from the sea.
