Charming property with plenty of privacy. Excellent property for fur babies. Hosts were very accommodating and were very responsive. God willing, we will visit again.
Easy to get to. Property is well maintained amd lit up. Process on check in and check out was super easy! This place was was reallh nice.Highly recommended
This is the 2nd year we’ve stayed at Dad’s Cabin. It is just what we’re looking for in a place to stay; rural, secluded, with all the amenities one really needs. It’s fairly centrally located in hill country so it’s easy to get to anywhere you want to be. There was a burn ban in place so we didn’t get to use the fire pit but we still enjoyed the peace after a day exploring the hills. We’re definitely coming back so we’ll see you next year!
Nice cabin in the woods feeling. Would definitely stay again.

Jacuzzi not working
Everything else was fine over there but my biggest reason to why I didn’t give at five stars is because the Jacuzzi didn’t take longer to warm up the water, and I was looking forward to using that. Instead of using that, me and my boyfriend only got to use the shower.. the Wi-Fi did not work there too by the way, so we had to run completely out of signal until we left while on the road back home, and then our signal came back up on our phones.
Dad's rustic cabin was a welcome secluded, quiet stay while still close enough to Kerrville and Fredericksburg. Unfortunately the day we chose to visit the Pacific War museum was the only day of the week it was closed (Tuesday). Be sure to screen shot directions or write them down. GPS and cell service is spotty, but worth the drive.
This is our third time visiting this cabin and just as great as ever! It’s very secluded and gives you that real country feel the entire time! Highly recommend this cabin!!!
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 Labradors and absolutely loved it. The cabin is so cozy and the area is quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be returning.
We came into town for a wedding, listing was exactly as described. The host was so sweet, it was nice to get away from the city for a weekend. We even adopted a local cat that was hanging around. Would absolutely book again.
Great property, isolated and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay very much and was very affordable. The cabin was neat and clean. Instructions for access were clear. My only recommendation would be to add curtains in case someone wanted to sleep in a little longer. Other than that, it was wonderful waking up in nature. Would book again!
Fun cabin in the middle of nowhere built by the host’s father (wholesome). Watched a scary movie and felt immersed in the location. Cute fire pit. Charcoal grill. Squeaky, yet comfy bed. Inside of the house needs some TLC.

About the host
Hosted by Jenna Seymour
My Dad built this cabin himself even milling the wood out of fallen trees from Hurricane Katrina. My husband and I purchased the property from his estate and we would love to share it with you.
Why they chose this property
If you are looking for city lights and a big party this is not the place for you. Quiet and serene this little piece of land disconnects you from the day to day noise of cell phones and city. You will have minimal cell signal here. You have to find that sweet spot in the cabin to get a signal.
What makes this property unique
Our little cabin is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country providing a secluded and peaceful stay.
