About this property

Come slip away for a vacation or staycation.. just minutes from UC Davis. Pastoral setting with great sunsets. We are a working ranch with goats and sheep and a beautiful garden situated around an 1869 Farmhouse. The cottage is separate from the main house. It used to house day-rate milkers who worked at the dairy in the 1930's-40's. Sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine during the Golden Hour or take family pics in and around our historic barns. The quiet and calm is good for your soul! Fantastic Farm To Fork eateries are not far away. This ranch has been in our family for a century--come see a piece of history!

Nice get away

This little house is so cute! It was fun to be able to pet the goats and see the animals. It was a quiet location! wish it had one more comfy chair for 4 people but it worked great for a weekend of soccer and then relaxation! Homeowners were super helpful and on top of communication. Loved the property!

Perfect romantic getaway!

We loved this location just on the outskirts of the bustling town of Davis and close to Winters and Lake Berryessa wineries and recreation. Property is historic and has a charming simplicity that helps melt the stress of the grind and focus on what matters and breathtaking sunrises/sunsets.

Quiet farmhouse

I enjoyed my stay at this quiet farmhouse. My only complaint was it had already been booked for the next week when I needed to extend my stay. Hopefully, I will be able to utilize this location again next time I am in town.

Down at the farm

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage is quaint but comfortable. It's in the country but close to Davis. There are goats on the other side of the fence behind the cottage and chickens across the way, who stayed where they were supposed to and didn't keep us up or wake us up, but added to the atmosphere. The two bedrooms are upstairs and the one bathroom is downstairs. The beds are good and everything, including the AC, works. Last but not least, Rachel is an accommodating host.

Lovely VRBO we will totally return to stay here

We thoroughly loved our stay at this quaint little VRBO on a wide open spaces farm and one day we toured to Winters and had beers and heard live music .... and one morning we had breakfast in Davis at Crepeville which was out of this world in the form of a Eggs Benedict crepe and also a banana peanut butter chocolate crepe. Amazing !! Anyway we will return to this cute little vrbo place as often as we can and absolutely loved our stay here. The owners are so professional, friendly, nice and accommodating!!

Loved this location and stay

We loved staying here. We have a 3 year-old who just loved seeing the goats and being able to take his apple peelings out to them. The set up is great with two bedrooms upstairs and spacious kitchen living room downstairs. Do note to get from the extra bedroom to the downstairs you need to walk through the other bedroom. Not a problem for us but nice to know. The owners are the best and one of the best hosts I have ever had. So easy to work with and really fast to respond when we had a question. They even provided restaurant reccs

A half dozen properties and Hundreds of guests later we are still at it. We began managing short term rentals at several homes we owned in New Orleans and loved it! We have taken that experience, love for history and my farming background to develop the ranch where I grew up. All the things I enjoyed as a kid on our family farm tucked away in Yolo County can now be shared with you!
