Horrible communication

I booked this property in April for my stay in May for it to get canceled right before I arrived. I texted the host for lock information because I never received it and he DID NOT RESPOND. So I begin calling and when I finally got in touch with the host he informs that the property is now a rental property so its no longer available. He also tells me he never received notification of my inquiry and VRBO automatically except my inquiry. So me and my family was 2 hours away from Memphis with no where to stay. Yes, because he canceled I will receive my full refund but the inconvenience, the lack of communication and the overall experience I would not recommend this property or host. Zero communication from host

The host never gave us check on information, the number provided didn't work and he never responded to my messages. At check on time we ended up stranded with no lodging because the host didn't follow through on their end.
